Katsumi Oshiro vs Navi Florges - Hey! Listen!

The last couple of months weren't...the best, in Navi's life. She lost an opportunity to be in the main event of LAW's first PPV, lost a match for a title in another promotion...and the one way she actually managed to get herself onto We Are LAW majorly strained her's and Melody's friendship. Although they still talked with one another, they still felt the animosity in one another's voice when they talked...and them deciding to separate their training schedule didn't help their matters either.

After all of that, the one thing Navi would be happy to do was her job...and LAW wouldn't book her for the next 2 months...for whatever reason. Perhaps it was punishment by LAW itself for her actions...perhaps it was Melody, doing that to make her cool off...whatever it was, she didn't know. She was just happy to be back in the ring, ready to kick ass of whoever they put her against tonight...

And it just so happened that her name had to be "Katsumi"...the "Kat" part in particular bothering her:

"Can't be any worse than the last one...", she would think, putting on her top and skirt, as a knock on the door, and a shout from a crewmember let her know that she was up.

A second later, she would pop out onto the entrance ramp. She was in a shitty mood, but that doesn't mean that's how she should've appeared on camera...or especially, to her foe. Instead, she came out, doing her usual posing, and a gun show, all to a massive chorus of boos.

Shortly afterwards, she would make her way down the entrance ramp, giving a confident smirk to the people in the front row and beyond, before quickly rolling into the ring. She heard quite a loud "YOU SUCK!" while she did, and, once she was up to her feet, would quickly aim a quick middle finger in the side of the crowd that came from, barely bothering with the hater, as she took her place at the corner, and sat down, glancing at the entrance ramp to await her opponent...

A lot of people might not expect this of the brash, brassy young punk, but Katsumi does her research when she knows who she'll be wrestling. She looks up who they are, their promos, what they seem to be about, their stats, record, and even a few matches! She does this for two reasons. The first is to prepare, because it takes dedication if she's going to be at the top of the food chain. The second is to find chinks in her opponent's emotional armor. To find some flaw or insecurity to pick at and tease. Those always get the biggest, best reactions, and are ultimately the most fun.

The first thing Katsumi found about Navi was a fansite. She clicked 'About', and the header read:

'Fuck Ocarina of Time!'

"Well, that's random," she said to herself.

Beneath were bullet-point factoids about the French girl. The very first one:
-Don't make Zelda references to Navi and piss her off. If you do, you deserve the beating coming your way.

"Oh reeeaally~?," pondered Katsumi.

In hindsight, it seemed obvious. She should've picked up on it before. She was going to take the low-hanging fruit and crack wise about her nationality, but after uncovering some of her reactions to some otherwise innocuous jokes about her name, her path was set.

Which brings us to tonight. She's ready for her opponent. It's interesting that she hasn't had any in-ring time in so long, and hopefully that'll leave her foe rusty and sluggish. She won't bank on it, but she'll certainly capitalize. And she's looking forward to screwing with her, either way. What she wasn't anticipating, however, is the audience's reaction to her. She thought Navi was better liked than this. Did she miss a video somewhere? Did she slap a baby on the way to the ring? Wait, no, with boos this enthusiastic, Navi would've had to've eaten a baby. That's hardcore.

Being a wrestler of nearly half a decade, one develops a sense of timing. She's certain her opponent has reached the ring, and her energy levels begin to spike. A bright smile emerges, and she begins bobbing on her feet. She's ready to go! Sleek black wrestling boots, black short shorts with cat-themed belt, choker, black sportsbra-esque wrestling top, and pink shirt - it's all set! Her musical selection tonight is perhaps her simplest one to date. he chords are largely repetitious, but the beat is poppy and fun. It matches her mood perfectly.

The music kicks on!

The entrance comes alive with bright yellow and green laser lights, fanning out and spinning inwards in dazzling display. Smoke begins building at the base of the opening...

"And her opponent!," begins the announcer. "Standing at a height of 5'5", weighing in at 124 lbs.! From Osaka, Japan! The Punk Princess! KATSUMI! OOOOSHIROOO!"

Katsumi steps out into the open arena, awash in almost overwhelming cheer by comparison, with arms raised and bright smile still on her face. Unable to really fight the beat even as she stands there absorbing the audience's surprising praise, her hip bops in rhythm to the music. She loves this part of the sport - the gladiatorial feel of it. It's electric, and it never gets old. But she's more used to the audience booing her, or at the most being divided. Navi's done a Hell of a job ticking them off somehow!

The punkette turns a quick, even graceful spin on the toe of her right boot, ending the motion with a punctuated up-thrust of her fist. Said fist then props to her narrow hip, shooting Navi an incredulous look in the ring. Her head turns aside, eyes shut, and her free hand lifts to wave her off as if she were nothing.

Opening taunt made, the girl starts for the ring at a spirited trot. She takes ahold of the lower hem of her shirt along the way, tugging it up and over her head, exposing her trim midsection to the open air.

The shirt is tossed to the outer corner of the ring, and she leaps up onto the apron. Whirling around to face the audience, she grabs ahold of the top rope to either side. Hips cock and she shoots a wink out over the audience, followed with a slow arching over her back over the top rope, and eventual somersault back into the ring proper. From there, she moves back into her corner, giving the referee-girl a chance to check her for illegal weapons.

"Hey!," she shouts to Navi. "Listen!"

Oh yes, she's starting early.

"You were in the title tournament, right? I know why they call ya Navi!"

Beat.

"Because Navi's only ever the sidekick, never the champion!"

From what Navi read about this particular Kat is that she was quite a brash and loudmouthed wrestler, not unlike herself. So when Katsumi's theme hit, she expected boos aimed in her direction as well...

...only for good amounts of cheering to emerge from the crowd as the Japanese girl came out! The message from them was clear, they wanted Navi to get beaten up for what happened at We Are LAW...and she couldn't wait to put all their hopes down...

Tauntingly, Katsumi would shoot a skeptical look at Navi while still at ringside, before waving her off...Navi calmly shaking her head at her opponent's antics, as she quickly took off her shirt, and entered the ring.

After working the crowd some more (or, as Navi would call it, pandering), Kat would finally settle down, and allowing the ref to check her for illegal objects on her person...

...as Katsumi would say the two words that pressed on the blonde's massive berserk button...

Gritting her teeth, she tried to not give in to anger at first. Saving that after the match, telling this particular Kat that she would regret ever playing OoT, before Powerboming her...multiple times...

...but then...

"Navi's only ever a sidekick, never the champion"

Beat.

Navi's eyes shot wide open at what Kat just said, just as the ref finished checking the girl for weapons.

Beat.

As ref asked the blonde whether she was ready to begin...the blonde have had already shot out of her corner, and straight at her opponent. Not giving a damn about the bell, she was looking to start the match with a hard boot to Katsumi's gut, with her opponent doing the unthinkable, and setting off 4 of her buttons (2 of which were freshly developed) with 2 sentences and her name!

Katsumi may have been bitter enough to consider it pandering at some point, as well. But even when the crowd is booing her - and they've done their fair share of that - it's still fun to play with. After all, she knows why they more often boo her. She makes that choice willingly! It's all a part of her image.

But this turn? This? It's unexpectedly warm and addicting. It's so alien, being liked. Or maybe that's going too far. She's the better of two evils? She's been in that position before. But this is still almost overwhelming. The question is, will they stick with her even after she delivers her terrible sass? Or are they vindictive enough to encourage the emotional turmoil the Punk Princess peddles?

Katsumi can't focus on them, though. Not after she's delivered her barbs. The look on Navi's face is priceless, and Katsumi takes a mental photograph. So sweet, she's pretty sure it can cause diabetes. She usually just has fun with people, but on some occasions, she really feels like an artist at getting under people's skin. She didn't intend it, but that smile on her face has spread, pleased with herself.

Suddenly, Navi is bearing down on her. The smile vanishes, her eyes widen, and Katsumi attempts to jerk out of the way in surprise. But it's too little, too late. Navi's boot plunges hard into Katsumi's toned belly, popping the girl a couple inches off her feet! When she lands, she's doubled over, gasping in pain, eyes squeezed shut.

Worse than the words hurled by Katsumi at the blonde was her shit-eating grin in her direction. She said that, and now she DARE be cocky to HER about that?

As Navi's boot rammed into Kat's, the surprising expression on her face made the blonde feel good about herself...

...and if one boot to the gut did that, would a few more cheer her up even more?

"Only one way to find out...", Navi would think, with an evil smile on her face...

She brought the boot to Katsumi. Multiple times, barely aiming as it came crashing into her stomach, into her chest, and into her shoulders. Amidst the boo of the crowds, the referee had no choice but to motion for the bell to be rung:

DING DING DING!

Navi barely paid attention to that, however: "Where is your tough talk now, you cheap rockstar parody?! Where is your shit eating grin, huh?! Or is a "sidekick" too much for you to fucking handle?!", she would scream into the Punk Princess's face, stopping in between her kicks to the girl's torso...and they felt just as satisfying as she expected...

Each successive boot that would've nailed her in the stomach fortunately met arms more than anything. Score one for reactive defenses in a doubled up position. That position does her no favors when the boot swings towards her chest, though. Katsumi is not what most would call a well-endowed girl, and each hit is a punishing slam - a bit extra painful, and shocking to say the least. Her eyes go from squeezed shut to bulged wide. The kicks to her shoulders get her position to jerk around, aching at the joints, but Katsumi remains turtled up as much as she can, hoping for an opening.

Navi presents just that when she leans in to scream at her. She suddenly unfurls and attempts to grab the blonde by the neck and arm. With a pivoting step, she aims to slam her berserk opponent face-first into the turnbuckle she had just been occupying, hoping to reverse positions with her!

"I would've thought you'd know to 'watch out'!," she continues. Despite the fresh pain in her torso, that grin has returned.

As Navi paused for a second, to scream her displeasure at Kat's taunts, the girl would suddenly grab her by her neck and arm!

Before the blonde could react, Katsumi would pull on Navi, slamming her head straight against the padded turnbuckle, with enough force for her to connect with the steel ring underneath!

"AAAAGH!", she screamed in pain...but didn't fall down, holding on to the rope to her right, while holding her hurt forehead with her left hand. If this wasn't bad enough, the Punk Princess definitely didn't learn her lesson from last time:

"You...FUCK!", she screamed, trying to rotate her torso, blindly aiming her balled left fist to try and connect with Kat's face...of course, without properly aiming her attack in her blind rage, this seemed rather unlikely to land...

The roar was enough warning for Katsumi. It was the sound of frustration meeting embarrassment meeting the uncompromising surface of a turnbuckle. And though it put the punkette on alert in an instinctual way, it also tickled the cockles of her heart - the dark, dark little cockles that delight in the satisfaction of knowing she can ruin someone’s mood. And to have the audience cheer her, despite it? It’s a terrible fuel.

Navi spins and swings, but her fist finds only air! The slender agitator has ducked the blow intended for her face, and instead returns the attention paid her earlier by driving a fist into Navi’s trim stomach! Her blonde for seems to want to take things in a brawling direction to start, and Katsumi is perfectly fine with that. Despite her fondness for slams, her strongest game is in her strikes!

“You don’t lock onto targets like you used to!”

"DAMN YOU! STAND STILL!", Navi shouted as her wild punch missed it's mark, turning to see Kat trolloshly smirking at her...and audience cheering for punkette's antics.

As Navi prepared one more punch at her foe's head, Kat would launch her fist into the cornered blonde' s stomach!

"GUAAH!"

As she met the corner once more with her back, Kat continued to taunt her. She knew she shouldn't have fallen for the Punkette's taunts, but something in her head was forcing her to go on an auto-pilot. Before Kat's sentence was even finished, she would launch one more punch, aiming right for the woman's nose!

Katsumi's having a great time, despite that initial kick hurting her stomach. This Navi girl is like a gift that keeps on giving. And the more she opens herself up for punishment, the more Katsumi will oblige her! That returned strike against the blonde's bare stomach is a deeply satisfying one. It might have been more damaging to give her a kick like she did her moments ago, but Katsumi's punches are harsh. Besides, it's only the first of many!

Suddenly it isn't so fun. Katsumi's vision whitens in a flash, her head whipping back as a punch nails her directly on the nose. She staggers back, hands covering her face and eyes tearing up. "Wh-.. ah-..," she stammers, mind having to catch up with the surprise hit. Her mind is clouded with a mixture of concern that her nose might now be bleeding - though, thankfully, it isn't - the fact that her eyes are watering like a bitch, and the pain that comes with it all.
