Re: Daughters of the Ring: Nixanne Severin vs Allen Riley

Nix hesitated, her feet planted firmly on the mat as she stared down at Allen curled up on the canvas. Her brow furrowed behind the frames of her glasses, her mind racing. Why would she do that? It didn’t make sense—curling up like that left Allen completely vulnerable, and Nix could easily capitalize on it. She could stomp her again, drop an elbow, or lock in a submission. Every instinct screamed at her to press the advantage.

But something felt off. Wrestling was as much about strategy as it was about physicality, and Nix couldn’t shake the nagging thought that this might be a trap. Allen wasn’t inexperienced—she knew better than to leave herself open like this without a plan. Nix’s jaw tightened as she took a cautious step back, her eyes narrowing as she studied her opponent.

Allen’s breathing was ragged, her face twisted in pain, but there was a flicker of something in her eyes—something sharp, calculating. Nix’s fingers twitched at her sides, her body coiled and ready to react, but she stayed where she was. If I go in now, I might walk right into whatever she’s planning.

The crowd roared around them, their voices a chaotic blend of cheers and jeers, but Nix tuned it out, her focus locked on Allen. She shifted her weight slightly, preparing to defend herself if Allen sprang forward. For now, she would wait—observe. If Allen was setting a trap, Nix wasn’t going to fall for it. But if this was genuine vulnerability, she could strike when the time was right.

For some reason, Nixanne didn't attack when Allen was down. This gave Allen a window of opportunity to recover as she began to roll away from her opponent, making her way to the ropes. Seeing that Nixanne was still observing her, Allen would try to pull herself up with the ropes, and here, she began formulating her plan, in case if Nixanne decided that it was the right time to attack.

As she pulled herself up, Allen looked at her opponent, panting, her eyes calculating. As a high-flyer, she was used to using the ropes to perform awe-inspiring and sometimes death-defying maneuvers. Making use of her opponent's hesitation against her, Allen had moved towards a spot where she could prepare herself to whatever her opponent might do next.

Realizing that Allen wasn’t bluffing after all, Nix adjusted her stance, her posture tightening as her mind snapped into sharper focus. For a brief moment, she reassessed the situation, reading Allen’s body language and the speed of her recovery.

“Okay… not bluffing.”

The realization settled quickly. Allen was recovering faster than expected, and every second Nix hesitated gave her opponent another chance to turn the tide. Nix couldn’t allow that. Momentum in a match like this was everything, and she refused to surrender it.

With a sudden pivot of her heel, Nix exploded forward. The canvas thudded beneath her boots as she built speed, adrenaline surging through her veins. Her arms swung wide as she closed the distance, aiming to catch Allen square across the chest with a powerful clothesline.

The force of the attack was meant to do more than just knock Allen down—it was meant to send her hurtling over the top rope and out of the ring entirely. Nix committed fully to the charge, her momentum carrying her forward with reckless determination as she tried to seize control of the match once again. Yet even as she surged ahead, she knew the gamble she was making. The top rope was no mere boundary; it was a treacherous line, as merciless as a woman’s scorn. One misstep—one moment’s lapse in balance—and it would cast her out just as eagerly as it might claim her opponent.

And somewhere in the back of her mind, even in the middle of the charge, Nix had the brief, stray thought: Wait…that line actually goes kind of hard. She’d have to remember that one for later when she was writing this match down.

Now that she had pulled herself up at the ropes, Allen was now in a much better position than before, and she looked at the direction of her opponent, who seemed to have decided to come after her, presumably hoping to knock her out of the ring with a clothesline or something similar. Allen knew that her timing needed to be perfect to counter whatever Nixanne was planning to do, and she braced herself for her opponent.

As Nixanne got closer, Allen would duck to avoid the strike, and hoping to use her opponent's momentum against her, she would try to hoist the other woman over the ropes, hoping to throw her out of the ring instead.

Nix’s momentum carried her forward, but instead of connecting with Allen, her arms sliced through empty air. Her heart lurched as she realized her mistake—too much force, too much commitment—and before she could correct her balance, Allen’s hands were on her.

The smaller woman ducked perfectly under the clothesline, her movements quick and precise. Nix barely had time to react before she felt Allen’s hands gripping her waist, yanking her upward with surprising strength. The crowd roared as Allen twisted her hips, using Nix’s own momentum against her, and with a sharp heave, she hurled Nix over the top rope.

For a split second, Nix was weightless, suspended in the air as her body arched backward. Then gravity seized her, and she came crashing down onto the hard floor outside the ring. The impact was unforgivingly painful, her back slamming against the unforgiving surface with a dull thud. Her glasses slipped slightly down her nose, and she groaned, her vision swimming as she tried to regain her bearings.

Nix focused on her breathing, forcing herself to stay calm. Her ribs ached, and her legs felt like jelly, but she knew she couldn’t afford to stay down for long. Allen had just seized the upper hand, and if Nix didn’t recover quickly, this match could slip away entirely.
