Lucy Lincoln vs Emily Nelson - Clipping Angels’ Wings

Despite Lucy kicking out, it seemed like she was out of the frying pan only to jump directly into the fire, as Emily would grab the pinkette's ankles, and wrap her legs around her own, before grabbing her arms!

"No! No! NO!"

Lucy knew well what position she was in, and how much it was going to suck...but she also knew how difficult the move was to pull off. So as she was pulled up for the ceiling hold, Lucy would wiggle and shake her body about, trying to make maintaining the balance as difficult as possible for Emily!

The moment Emily tried lifting Lucy up for the ceiling hold, the pinkette began to thrash and twist furiously in her grip, desperately trying to tear herself free. "Gnnngh...hold...still..." Emily growled, struggling to keep Lucy elevated.

Her struggles were in vain, as her grip on the other girl's legs were quickly lost, causing Lucy to tumble down against Emily. Cursing, the Scotswoman shoved the pinkette off of her and rolled to her feet. Grabbing Lucy by the head, she tried to yank her up as well, aiming to grab onto her wrists and clamp her thighs around her head in a setup for a powerbomb!

Lucy's resistance to the ceiling hold bore fruit, as despite the immense strain on her back and limbs, she managed to free her legs out of the hold, making a way out of her opponent's submission!

But Emily wasn't about to let her go easily, swiftly picking Lucy up after the hold, and trapping her head between her thighs, setting her up for a Powerbomb or a Piledriver!

Lucy, however, would try to power through first, trying to lift her body up with Emily in tow, turning her rival upside down...before trying to slam her back down to the canvas with an Alabama Slam!

Emily was determined not to let Lucy escape so easily. Pulling Lucy to her feet, Emily managed to get the pinkette's head between her thighs, giving her head a nice, vindictive squeeze, before grabbing for her arms, hoping to set her up for a power bomb once and for all!

And that would have worked...if Lucy hadn't suddenly squirmed and thrashed hard, tearing her arms free from Emily's grip before she could lock the hold in. Next thing Emily knew, Lucy was grabbing around her thighs and lifting her off her feet!. Shocked, Emily tried to hammer a forearm down across Lucy's back, but by then Lucy was already throwing her down.

The ring shook as Emily was slammed down back first into it, gasping loudly as she marched up off the mat before flopping back down again, devastated by Lucy's sudden and effective comeback.

Though still winded by Emily's attempts to make her submit, Lucy would finally manage to get an upper hand against Emily! Opening a window of opportunity to strike, Lucy decided to make her comeback swift and decisive. Grabbing Emily by her hair, Lucy would lift the hopefully stunned woman to her feet, stepping back to give herself some space. If all went well, Lucy planned to step towards Emily, swiftly turning during her step to try and drive a Roaring Elbow across her foe's jaw!

Emily groaned as she now found herself on her back, which throbbed in pain after she had been so rudely slammed back down to the mat. Lucy, however, seemed to have no wish to let her recover: Emily gasped as her hair was yanked, and then she was pulled back up to her feet. Groaning, she straightened up, ready to lash out and strike back at Lucy--

--when the pinkette suddenly closed the gap and slammed an elbow across her jaw! Emily's head snapped to the side, and she went crumpling down onto her back, utterly dazed by that brutal blow as the fans roared with disbelief at Lucy's comeback.

As Lucy’s strike connected, she could see in the Wrestle Angel’s eyes that she was rocked, about to fall on her back…

…only for Lucy to reach out her hand, grasping her rival’s purple locks to keep her upright, with Lucy wagging her finger at her with a tired smirk, much to the crowd’s chagrin.

”Let’s see if this Angel will truly ascend to heaven!”

With her mocking line, Lucy would trap her rival’s head under her arm, the pinkette lifting Emily up into a Suplex position…before spinning and dropping her down on her back for her finishing Megaton Hammer!

After impacting her back onto the ground, Lucy would keep on top of her rival’s body, hooking her leg for a pin!

Just as Emily toppled backward, Lucy yanked a hold of her hair, causing her to give out a tired gasp. Woozily, she stared up at Lucy as the pinkette wagged a taunting finger at her, before she was unceremoniously yanked back to her feet, her head tucked under Lucy's arm.

And then there was a horrible rush of vertigo as she was lifted upside down, head over heels...before Lucy brought her smashing down hard into the mat! The taller Scotswoman flopped unmoving, onto her back, with Lucy quickly dropping next to her and wrapping a leg for the pin. In an instant, the ref was next to them, starting the countdown.

"ONE...TWO..."
