Jessica Wright vs. La Mariposa

Jessica looked up in time to see her opponent flying at her. It was a beautiful thing, really, to watch the Immortal Butterfly to soar through the air right at her. As a lifelong fan of wrestling and one of the foremost practitioners of the insane sport, she had to appreciate the intricacy of what La Mariposa had just pulled off.

As a wrestler, she also appreciated how much it hurt. La Mariposa plummeted down right on top of her, causing the air to be ripped from Jessica's lungs. The Violent Violet felt like she had just been turned into wrestler paste, such was the force of splash, as once more Jessica had no choice but to lie on the mat, open and vulnerable

If tonight would've been an athletics routine, Mariposa's beautiful splash would've gotten her 10s all around from jury...and even though she appreciated the kind cheers at her move from the fans, right now, she was only worried about how much damage it did...and if it did enough damage, it would allow her to go for the kill.

Mariposa would drag Jessica to her feet by her head, intentionally staying with her back to her rival as she kept the Violent Violet's head at her shoulder. Grasping at it, she jumped and flipped, aiming to sit down on the floor to nail the back of Jessica's head with the mat with a Shiranui!

Jessica didn't like being on the mat, not one bit. Her opponent had already proven her prowess at flying down at her while she was on the ground, and now that was precisely where she was. When La Mariposa's hand met her head, she wondered what was going on. It was entirely possible that the previous blow had made her too groggy, and thus she was incapable of understanding the world around her. She was the one who had all the power moves that required a standing opponent, not the Immortal Butterfly. So it didn't make any sense that Jessica was on her feet.

Then the world made sense again. La Mariposa's beautiful move sent Jessica crashing back down to the mat where she had just been, and this time she lay more still, feeling the ringing in her head throughout her entire body. She groaned and tried to get up, this time under her own power.

With her foe still being half-awake, and quickly shaking the daze after her Shiranui, Mariposa knew she needed something more powerful to keep Jessica down for the count.

She grabbed at her rival's purple mane and lifted her back to her feet, grabbing at her head with one arm and snaking the other one under Violent Violet's knee, planning to lift her off her feet, and nail her with a Northern Lights Bomb, prelude to her finishing Bullet Wings!

Jessica felt her hair being pulled. She knew that both women had already given so much to the match that the person who struck next would likely be the winner. And as La Mariposa lifted her from the mat, she recognized that she would have to be fast off the mark to make sure that she was the one getting her hand raised. Her mind raced, as much as it could given the immense pain that she was in, thinking of ways that she could win the match that she had fought so hard for.

As soon as La Mariposa had her to her feet, Jessica sent a quick blow to her opponent's gut. She knew that the power of the blow wouldn't be enough to stall whatever La Mariposa was doing, but she hoped that it was surprising enough that it would keep La Mariposa from doing what she wanted to. And that was followed with one or two quick ones, followed by a deep uppercut that was aimed at La Mariposa's gut.

Jessica hoped it was enough to bend her opponent over. From there, she would force her opponent's head between her thick thighs before she moved to tie her opponent's hand up. From there, she would go for her finisher, the Queenmaker!

Right as Mariposa tried to lift Jessica off her feet for the final time, she felt a massive force making her lungs expel all the air out of her lungs. She still tried to persevere, trying to get Jessica off her feet, fearful that if she didn't fight through the pain, it would be all over...

...her efforts were only met with 2 more hard blows to her stomach, as she left Jessica on her feet, and doubled down in pain.

Her theory proved right. Jessica seized the opportunity in an instant and trapped the Luchadora between her legs. With 3/4 of her limbs trapped, and the adrenaline rush she felt earlier leaving her, Jessica lifted her off the ground and onto her shoulders...

She tried to move any of her limbs...but it was as if she was frozen in place.

"AAAAAAAAAGH!"

As her back met the ground, her scream was the final act she could do in the match, as she lifelessly laid on the ring canvas

Jessica was on her knees for a second after the blow. La Mariposa had pushed her nearly to her limits. There were a few points in this match where Jessica knew that she was only a hair's breadth from losing this match. But here she was, just having completed her finisher. For a second, her triumphant countenance darkened with the thought that the Immortal Butterfly could still kick out of this, could still escape the pin.

She would not know that until it happened, though. Jessica wheeled around and lay across her opponent, hooking La Mariposa's leg in classic wrestling style. She looked up at the reg girl with her large purple eyes, expectingly.

ONE!

The ref girl counted.

The pin was a simple formality. If ref looked closer, than she would've seen that Mariposa was out. As such, she couldn't move a muscle as the pin was counted up:

"TWO!"

"THREE!"

DING DING DING

With the bell ringing, Jessica was officially the victor.

Jessica popped up, and shouted out her glee at having defeated her opponent. She raised both arms up high, whooping loudly. The crowd booed at seeing the hated Jessica Wright win, so Jessica flipped them off so that they would understand that the feeling was mutual. She turned to look down at her opponent, and smirked when she realized that she was unconscious. Even after she had been pushed to her limits, she still had that raw power that she coveted.

It was with feelings of power that she exited the ring and made her way up the ramp. She did not once look back.
