With Astrid's arms tightening further into a tight and merciless embrace around Widow's sides, the memory of Theresia's bouts against the Ostberg family was on the minds of everyone who knew how deep their rivalry went - and perhaps no one was more reminded of those events than Cyber Widow herself. She wasn't just up against an opponent in Astrid, or even against the reigning Heavyweight Champion - she was facing a ghost of the past, a living reminder of how she had been outsted from the sport all those years ago. The rage welled up inside her, and she was even more desperate to tear the blonde limb from limb if that was what it took to set right how she'd been wronged. Astrid might have been smiling, feeling the excitement of what she was sure was the impending finish to a match that had truly forced her to work her hardest and triumph over the odds - but as she was about to find out, the very hold that she felt would lead her to victory was only motivating Widow even more to fight back.

The crowd's cheers had reached such a pitch they almost masked Widow's scream. The Norsewoman's muscles bulged as she poured more and more of her energy into maintaining her grip; even as Widow clawed and grabbed at her arm, Astrid refused to let go, hissing through clenched teeth. She'd bear through whatever pain and punishment she needed to if it meant prevailing over Widow, and she could never let herself succumb.

But Astrid had been so assured in the thought that she was heading toward victory that she wasn't anticipating that her opponent might suddenly turn the tides - and when, at last, the veteran reached out and grabbed her by the face, Astrid was caught off guard. Before she knew it, she felt the sting of Widow's nails cross her face, and as she doubled forward with a shout of pain, she let Theresia go! The mood of the arena was quick to change, the eager cheers from a moment before turning to hateful boos.

Astrid clutched at her face and rubbed her eyes, staggering away from her opponent as she panted for breath and tried to center herself. But even as she tried to blink and look around, her eyes stung too much. This time, Widow had indeed raked her eyes, and Astrid was left open!

"God that felt good to do..." Widow thought to herself as she raked her nails across Astrid face and eyes. She wasn't leaving nothing to chance after this close call to defeat, that bearhug took a lot out of her and she can still feel the pain from her ribs being compressed tightly in Astrid grip. But just like always done she grits her teeth and bares it for that shot at victory, and if she makes more fans hate her then so be it she deal with it when the time comes for it.

Regaining her balance and center knowing she has only one good shot at puling this off again, but it a risk she going to take cause as they say Third times the Charm. And there is no way that Astrid would be able to kick out of her finisher again, not after taking another one to her already hurting neck this one will end it and send a statement to the rest of the women in the back. That the Title will go through her and certain wrestlers will not even get a shot at the title as long as she is Champion.

Getting close and shoving Astrid into the ring ropes again, waiting for the bounce back as she in perfect position again. Leaping up and landing on Astrid shoulders again instead of taking her time she falls backward quickly getting a lot of thrust as she flips and spikes Astrid head back into the canvas for the third time in the match.
Image

Laying on her front gasping to catch her breath, it has to be over but there that small bit of doubt in the back of her head telling her that she should have went for the other one. As she goes for the pin placing her arm over Astrid chest, the ref getting down and starts the count.

ONE!!!!

For just a moment, Astrid looked like she had it. Her arms were around Widow's waist, and the feared veteran had been lifted off the ground, her ribs compressed against Astrid's grip. The blonde clenched her teeth and held tighter around Widow's sides, refusing to let up, or to stall for even a moment. She had Widow right where she wanted her - she was closer than ever to coming out on top in this match, one that had seen both of them fighting with everything they had to ensure they would not only crush their opponent, but prove themselves in doing so. The fires of determination burned in Astrid's eyes, as she locked them on Widow. She had to see this through - she was too close to fail!

But Widow had plenty of tricks up her sleeve, and even when Astrid seemed to have her beaten in a fair fight, Widow didn't care about fighting fair! Right as the crowd's cheers were reaching their peak, the fans hanging on the edge of their seats for the moment Widow was going to tap out, the veteran got her hand in Astrid's face, clawing at her eyes - and the champion let go, crying out in pain as her face lit up like it was on fire! Her gaze blurred by pain and the tears running down her cheeks, Astrid went staggering backward, bent at the knees and clutching at her face - and, more importantly for Widow, leaving her vulnerable.

She didn't see it coming as Widow shoved her up against the ropes. She could only feel the cables stretch against her weight before she was catapulted forward, straight into Widow. But she did feel herself crumpling against the weight of her shoulders. She felt the pressure around her temples, and the ground giving way beneath her. And that was when Astrid went stiff - she knew exactly what was about to happen to her.

The canvas shook from the force of Astrid slamming into the mat a third time. The crowd gasped, looking on in shock. Just taking one Frankensteiner from Widow was a terrifying prospect - but Astrid had taken three! Once again, she lay on the canvas, not moving - even as Widow held down her chest, and got into position for a pin.

"TWO!!!!"

Still, Astrid wasn't moving. The arena was silent. All eyes were fixed on the ring, the fans watching transfixed and speechless. Many were fearful that Astrid couldn't possibly come out on top of this match, if she could even stand up at all by the end of it. Others, however, held out hope. Astrid had seemingly done the impossible by kicking out of the Frankensteiner a moment before; surely she could do it again!

"THR-"

Again, the referee raised her hand. She was just about to bring it to the mat when she looked up, her palm frozen in midair just inches away from its surface.

"NO!!! ROPE BREAK! ROPE BREAK!!"

It was true! At the very last minute, Astrid had gotten her leg out, hooking her ankle just over the bottom rope! The fans cheered even louder, seeing proof of what they'd hoped for - that the champion wouldn't let herself go out just yet!

ROPE BREAK! ROPE BREAK!

Hearing those words spikes a yell of anger and one of heart break. Rolling over until her side holding up three fingers to the ref, a look of torment and anger on her face as she slams the canvas with her fist. Getting to her feet slowly her eyes focused on the ref who starts to back away in fear but is frozen stiff by the look in Widow eyes.

Reaching out and grabbing the ref by the collar lifting the woman off her feet. "THAT WAS THREE WE ALL SAW IT BUT SOMEHOW ASTRID PUT HER FOOT ON THE ROPE." yelling out almost screaming at the poor ref, who is wiggling and struggling against the taller enraged woman grip but squeaks out "but.. but.. but her foot was on the ropes..." she says before being cut off again by Thereisa who tosses her aside done hearing excuses.

Her focus is off her opponent as she is glaring daggers at the ref who is shaking her head from being tossed aside like a rag dog. The ref wanting to DQ Widow but knows better then to end a Championship match on a DQ, allows the match to keep going on as Widow is still mad thinking that their trying to screw her out of her victory. Allowing Astrid to recover.

The tension in the arena was so thick, it could have been cut by the proverbial knife. Mere seconds ago it looked as though Astrid was about to lose the match, and her Heavyweight Championship in the process. The referee's hand was barely an inch off the ground as she brought it low. The whole time, she had been nervously glancing between Astrid and the mat below her, her teeth clenched, her eyes wide, and her brow slick with sweat, as she waited for a miracle to happen. She didn't want to see Astrid lose here - no one did except for Widow herself. But it was looking like an inevitability...up until Astrid got her foot on the ropes!

The announcement of the rope break brought relief to the fans, as the ref girl jumped back up to her feet, her voice rising with excitement. But that would swiftly be silenced. The moment she saw Widow glowering at her, she fell silent, the color draining away from her face as she stood motionless before the challenger. She could barely get away as the veteran grabbed her by the collar to hoist her off her feet, her body trembling all the while - and try as she might to calm things down, she could barely get anything in edgewise before Widow hurled her to the mat. She landed with a cry of pain, rolling onto her side as she began to look up at the scene before her.

There, she could see Astrid slowly getting up. She watched as she rose up to a seated position, reaching forward with one hand to take the ropes. Her movements were stiff and labored, weighed down by fatigue, and her head was spinning. Her body shook with pants for breath, the sweat glistening down the side of her neck. The blood dripping from her forehead had stained her blonde hair red. Astrid had fought hard, and she was showing all the signs of the strain. But if she really believed in what she stood for...she wasn't going to let herself be done yet!

"I...already told you..." Astrid said in between pants, dragging herself to her feet. There, she turned to face Widow, slowly moving closer. "While you used the Frankensteiner, I held my head still and my neck stiff so that it wouldn't move. If I kept it as still as possible, I could protect it from breaking! Your attempts to break my neck didn't work on me last time, Widow, and they won't work on me again!"

The confidence and conviction rose in Astrid's voice with each word she spoke, and she lifted herself back to her full height. Although she was shorter than Widow, it didn't seem to hold her back - she looked at her proudly and defiantly with a fire burning in her eyes, standing just as tall as if she towered over her foe. Her teeth clenched into a grimace as she took a step closer, getting into Widow's face. She put her hands on her hips, leaning in against the veteran closely enough to press her chest to hers, their breasts mushrooming against each other.

"But...I can't stand for this! Your attacks on other wrestlers are one thing...but when you bring innocent people just trying to do their jobs into this, you're going too far! They can't fight back, or hope to stand a chance against you, and you know that, even when you treat them as though their lives mean nothing! My father told me about you...and I see now that he was right about every single word he said! You're a disgrace to the sport of professional wrestling!"

Turns around slowly seeing Astrid getting to her feet more shocked then anything seeing her getting closer and closer to her. Talking about how she prepared to handle her finisher and that they won't work on her again, that alone sends a shiver of fear down the woman spine. That her move that has ended many people careers is not up to snuff anymore, against the newer women of the Era her once feared finisher is considered weak or not able to put a opponent way.

Glaring down at her smaller opponent hearing each word coming out of her mouth until she says that she is a disgrace to wrestling... That right there hits harder then anything, but she not going to let those words get to her... But they already have as Widow just throws a closed fist punch right at Astrid face, a wild swing wanting to hit her and to get her to shut up.

'You don't know me... You don't know what I been through, And you have the nerve to mention your Father in my presence... Fine If I'm a disgrace to wrestling then you and your whole family are a Drittsekk" cursing the woman in her native language, enraged at being called a disgrace.

The very fact that Astrid had the strength to kick out of Widow's Frankensteiner was enough to rally the crowd behind her, as they lit up with claps, chants, and cheers. But the fact that she was standing up to Widow, a woman who had done nothing but menace and threaten her family, who had ended the careers of several wrestlers and made efforts to do the same to many more, elevated her higher. Astrid wasn't just the champion of her sport; she was standing up for what it meant to be a wrestler, upholding the values she held herself to against an opponent to whom they meant nothing. If Astrid were to lose, it would take all of wrestling with her - at least, that was the conviction she held herself with!

With Astrid berating her, the anger was growing more and more in Widow by the second, her fist clenched and her arm readied to strike - and at last, it all exploded, with the veteran whipping a punch toward Astrid's face. But just as it was about to hit, Astrid ducked. She let Widow's fist whiff by over her head before she straightened herself to her feet, meeting her with a glower. Astrid's muscles tensed as she stared her opponent down, ready to strike.

"If you don't believe me...then I'll prove it!" Suddenly, Astrid sprung into action, throwing her arms around Widow's waist. She sucked in a breath, steeling herself just to lift a woman of Widow's size, but her determination stirred her on. Turning her back toward the corner, Astrid moved to swing Widow over her head and shoulders, prepared to slam her into the corner with a German suplex!

Everybody could sense it. That the match was about to end in the next few moves but who would come on top is anybody guess, even through Astrid has taken three Frankenstieners and was able to kick out and keep fighting. But nobody knows how badly she is hurting right now, only Astrid knows how badly she is hurt and she can't show weakness right now.

Widow wild punch was easily dodged by her opponent, putting a lot of power and anger behind that punch which sent the taller woman stumbling forward and loosing her balance. Caught and unable to recover from her blow Widow is not able to counter whatever Astrid has planned as the champion wraps her arms around her waist, turning back around and lifts tossing Widow into the Corner with a German Suplex.

"AAAAUUUUGGGHHH" a loud dull thud is heard as the Back of Widow head slams into the middle turnbuckle. Her body folding into a nasty ball before falling onto her side, a dazed look in her eyes as she not moving from the move. Laying prone on the mat much to the crowd cheering thinking that Astrid may have KO the woman with one move.

Astrid's body ached. Her muscles shuddered and jolts of pain ran through her as she moved her joints, her teeth gritting and her fists clenching with every step forward she took. She didn't know how much longer she could last - she had worked herself to her limits, and that was before she had taken multiple brutal finishers from Widow targeting her head and neck. Even if Astrid had managed to protect her neck, her head still throbbed from where her skull had been driven against the canvas. But no matter how much it hurt, Astrid had to keep going. She knew that Widow, too, was nearing the end of her rope, and if she just kept at it a little while longer, she could end it all - and when a victory that had this much riding on it was so close within her grasp, Astrid knew she couldn't hold back!

Everything seemed to go by in slow motion, the way things fell into place. Widow's arm swung closer, but Astrid saw it come near. She felt herself duck down, getting out of the way of the blow. She watched as the arc of Widow's strike threw her off her balance, the veteran going staggering after its motion. And she felt it as her arms snapped shut around Widow's waist. She felt her arms pulling the veteran tighter against her body, her weight falling against her own. Astrid pushed off the ground beneath her, straightening her back. She could feel the shift in Widow's weight as she was pulled higher and higher, and then, as she let herself fall back, she felt it all come crashing down.

The two of them dropped, and a clunk rang out from Widow's head hitting the turnbuckle. Her body sank lower, the canvas rumbling beneath her as she hit the mat, and then, it all went still.

For a moment, the crowd looked on in silence. It had all happened so quickly, such a sudden reversal of fortune, that they were left trying to register if they'd even seen what they had thought they'd seen. It seemed too good to be true. But soon it became all too clear what they looked on at - Widow laid flat out and motionless, with Astrid slowly rising to her knees beside her. The Norsewoman took a few breaths, collecting herself after the fall, and shook herself as she looked out around her. She was weary - but she was moving. And Widow wasn't! As far as anyone could tell, she was out cold!

This was it, they thought! Astrid had fought her hardest, and in the end, it had been enough to triumph even over Cyber Widow! The crowd rang out with a roar of cheers - and Astrid, too, would rise to meet them. She was tired, beaten, and sore, but in the end, she had made it.

The exhilaration of victory awoke the will in her to get back up, and, straightening herself to her feet, she walked over to the ropes, lifting herself onto the middle rope as she held her fists high in the air. There, she lifted her head skyward, belting out a roar in celebration!

The fans cheer louder seeing what they thing is the greatest win in Astrid career beside winning the title. Seeing Widow prone form on the canvas not moving and prone, while Astrid is on the middle rope with her arms raised sends a message that the Champion was able to grit and grind her way to an hard fought victory.

Everybody thought the match was over.... except the ref who hasn't called for the bell seeing was Widow is starting to move after hitting her head on the turnbuckle. Their faint but their there and till then she can't ring for the match to be over.

Her body moves on it own, the feeling some wrestlers get when your mind not there but your body keeps telling you to fight. That point of reaching your limit and going past it, that the feeling Widow is at as she get's to her feet and quickly jumps onto the middle rope behind Astrid. Knowing what move she going to do but she only hit it once.

"....THAT TITLE IS MINESSSSS.." the desperate scream of the challenger seeing her title hopes going up in flames, as she makes one last attempt by climbing to the top rope and steps over Astrid shoulders. Trying to set for a move that nobody has seen in ages the Infamous Avalanche Reverse Frankensteiner but due to the dazed concussed feeling she not able to as she wobbles on the top rope losing her balance.
