While the Traveller succeeded in knocking the axe out of the king's grasp, she did not react fast enough to the king grabbing her by the throat. She felt herself being picked up by the king and immediately slammed onto the floor.

She grunted as she retorted, "That isn't the way to treat a lady." As she quickly rolled out of the way and tried to respond with a front dropkick to knock back the king; as during the choke slam, she dropped her sword.

The Traveler rolled out of the way as the king tried to stomp onto her- leaving him open to being dropkicked and stumbling back. Oscar was already back on his feet and charged his father from behind- following up with her attack by wrapping his arms around the king and german suplexing him into a pile of plates that scattered across the floor! With the king reeling and dealing with the broken plate pieces cutting his head a bit, the prince released his father and rolled away- glancing to the axe his father dropped and making an attempt to grab it!

The Traveller got back to her feet, after being choke slammed, as she saw Oscar performing a suplex on his father. While this occurred, she saw the king's axe and Oscar making an attempt to grab it.

To give Oscar a chance to get that magic axe, the Traveller leaped at the king to bring her sword down on him; to make him block the hit and make him more focused on her.

The King attempted to make a grab for the axe as well- but was intercepted by the traveler as she struck him with her sword. All the King could do was rause his arm and ket his bracer take the attack- mostly protecting him from any wounds. Oscar in the meantime, would grab the axe and roll to his feet- gripping it tightly as he stared his father down. The king instinctively took a few steps back.

"Oh come now, boy. You don't expect me to believe you're a threat to me with that thing, do you? I've never seen you use magic once in your life- you have no idea how to even use that thing"

As the Traveller's attack was blocked, she was shoved away from him as Oscar succeeded in taking the axe. She got to her feet and as the King was talking, especially about Oscar not knowing how to use it, she noted that he was backing up a bit. The tables turned and now it was the King who was in a bad position, as the Traveller regrouped alongside Oscar.

"I mean, aside from the obvious swing and hack." Fang retorted, making a light jab at the King's comment before continuing, "I'm sure he can figure it out." Of which she immediately whispered to Oscar, "You do know how this thing works right?"

"... I have no idea. But an axe is an axe. I can use it traditionally at the most"

The Prince whispered back to the Traveler before tightening his grip and staring his father down.

"Out of courtesy of giving life to me I am willing to let you walk away with your life, Father. You have dragged this clan's name through the mud for too long. A change in leadership is required. If you have any sense of honor left in you-"

"Honor? What do I care about honor? Tis' but another fancy word for weakness- that's all that it is. You disgust me, boy, worrying about such trivial things"

The King laughed at the Prince, mocking him as the room started to get progressively hotter- steam coming off from the King as flames formed around his hands.

"It was I and I alone that rose us out of poverty when my blessing came to me, boy. This castle? Your royal status? All of is only yours because of ME!!! I don't know what world you live in, boy, but this is a world where the strong are entitled to whatever they can claim- to conquer! You would want to take that away from us, idiot!? Don't make me laugh! You don't have the strength to rule- or to do what needs to be done!"

A few small sparks crackle in the air before an explosion erupts from the King- launching Oscar and possibly the Traveler away from him as fire completely consumes the King's body- his power being shown to the fullest.

And Traveller did indeed get launched back by explosion, and she went as far as Oscar did. Thankfully, they both did not hit anything hard so that they could get back on their feet. As they were getting back up, the Traveller shook her head and looked at the fiery visage that was now present before them.

"Ok, so that's new." The Traveller commented before sarcastically suggesting, "Think we got enough water to put him out?"

"I... don't know. I've never seen him do this before... not against only two people"

There was fear in Oscar’s voice as he gripped the axe tighter- his knuckles turning white. Smoke started to come out of the blade of the axe- catching the Prince's eye before he whispered to the Traveler.

"I don't know if we can beat him... it might be best to retreat. I think I can try something. I can't explain it but... just trust me. On my mark- make a run for the throne room. I'll be right behind you"

As the Traveller was thinking about what to do, she heard Oscar suggest that they retreat, but also have an idea in mind for what to do. She nodded as the two would make a run for the throne room.

"Ok, so what is it that you want to try?" The Traveller asked as the two were running to the throne room.

"Something very dramatic and... possibly stupid"

As Fang ran, the Prince gripped the axe and focused intensely at it- more smoke coming out of the axe as the king's eyes slowly widen in surprise. Before the king could speak, Oscar swung the axe into the ground- causing an explosion that launched him backward and out of the dining hall as it was completely engulfed in smoke! Said smoke made for a perfect smokescreen as it blew out into the halls- earning coughing from the king as Oscar rolled across the floor with the axe in hand and scrambled to his feet to run with the traveler.

"OK! Not exactly what I wanted to do- but it's enough! Hope you have enough energy to run"

Oscar was covered from head to toe in soot- a comedicly large amount of it as the smoke was threatening to swallow the two!
