Bast vs "Amazon" Alaina Sanders-Haines (c) for the LAW Heavyweight Title

Alaina ran right in, trying to hammer Bast and keep up her momentum. However the aching amazon ran right into a trap! Alaina was lift up and smashed against the ring, the loud crash landing echoing throughout the arena as her howls of pain were drowned out by the sound of the impact! The ring ropes were shaking and the amazon was down, meekly kicking the mat a couple times in agonies she was in shock at how Bast could so quickly, so powerfully counter her after all she had done to the big ebony hammer of Africa....

Bast executed the move, but she swore, it almost took more out of her than it did Alaina. She collapsed to a knee after she hurled her opponent, and might have gone down all the way if she hadn't managed to grab the ropes, as the toll of the match began coming down on her. There was already a thin pool of sweat beneath her, despite only being in the corner for a few seconds, her body utterly drenched, and she could feel the warning signs of dehydration creeping in.

She needed to rest, to recoup, but as Alaina laid before her, she knew that wasn’t an option. If this opportunity slipped away, she might never get it again.

With Alaina down and close by, she decided it was time to start mixing things up, using moves that she didn’t often go for. Bast gripped the ropes, pulled her way up then leaped forward and tucked her legs in, letting her back come crashing down on Alaina’s chest as she went for a running senton - low energy, high impact.

Alaina knew everything that happened now was incredibly pivotal in this match given that state of both women. Alaina was down but Bast was also hurting despite the counter. Alaina knew Bast was undefeated in LAW. She knew that Bast beat Tina, and was able to win against proven champions. Bast may very well have never been beaten. That also meant that Bast may never have been pushed like this.

However as Alaina tried to get up, Bast crashed down on her the mass of the rock hard muscular frame of Bast crushing the amazon flat against the mat. Alaina let out a gasp of air, laying with her limbs out and raising her left leg up once to weakly kick the canvas as the only sign of life showing from the champion.

”Pin her!” Cersei cried out from ringside as she gripped the ring apron. ”Pin her!”

Bast didn't need to be told that. She wasn’t a light woman by any stretch, and she could feel the way Alaina’s body caved under her impact - that one had hurt, seriously, and she was looking more and more ripe for a pinfall. It wasn’t a sure thing, but she had to give it a shot.

Bast rolled over, pressed her forearm into Alaina’s chest, pulled her leg in, and went for the pinfall. The referee slid over beside them, nearly slipping on the sweat as she came, and started up the count.

Alaina's body was limp as Bast pinned her to the mat. The arena was silent thinking that there was no way the lifeless amazon would kick out. She was up against someone toi big, too young, too strong. Her reign was over.

"TWO!"

"THRE-"

Alaina thrust her body up, bucking her hips while twisting her torso to raise her shoulder off the mat. Still gaspingnfor breath she would try to shove away at Bast, even closing her fist and taking a shot at the face of the challenger as she lay onnthe mat after somehow kicking out!

When the referee’s hand came down for a third time, Bast’s heart skipped a beat. The belt was right there, within her grasp, but she almost didn’t care about it at this point. More than anything, she wanted to be done with this match. She wanted to stop torturing herself, wanted to stop beating on Alaina before something bad happened, wanted to put this all to rest and sleep for a week. It was so close…

And then she kicked.

”God! Damn it!” Bast rarely spoke in her matches and even more rarely cursed, but this was turning out to be a day of many firsts. She slammed her fists into the mat, he frustration clear for the whole world to see, then reached over and grabbed hold of Alaina’s hair. She stood and yanked the Amazon up with her, ignoring the referee’s protests along the way.

She glared down at her foe, looking down on her with a mix of rage and desperation. She had no idea which she had more of. ”I. Am Winning. This match.” She punctuated that declaration with a point blank punch to Alaina’s face, smacking her back to the canvas with a vicious hook.

The kickput caused an outburst and Alaina saw the calm cool exterior crack. Alaina felt pain jolt her as she was yanked up looking into the eyes of Bast. The punch sent her stumbling back downand she hobbled falling to her knees. She shook her head and wobbled up looking barely conscious as she stared groggily back at Bast and then did the unthinkable.


She stepped up and slapped herself across the chest and abdomen. "Hit me like you mean it you big bad bitch." Alaina stammered out, slurring and swaying as she stood there!

Bast was expecting that her punch wouldn’t be able to keep Alaina down. She would retaliate.

What she wasn’t expecting was for the woman to retaliate like that.

The shot to her chest didn’t hurt all that much, but the sheer surprise of it was enough to make Bast cry out, mixing surprise and rage. It wasn’t just physical defiance, either, as Alaina - the normally sweet, pleasant woman - shot back at her with barbed words, practically begging her for another punch.

Bast wouldn’t disappoint, either. She ground her teeth down hard, then stepped back, brought her arm low, and came up with a thunderous right uppercut, going straight for Alaina’s chin with the crippling blow. ”Stay down!”

Alaina wanted Bast to hit back and did she ever. Alainas jaw was crushed and her head whipped back, her lip busted open was she fell back to the mat looking up at the arena lights. Her ears rang and she saw fuzzy double vision. She had her bell rung and there was no way she was thinking straight.

Especially after what she was about to do in her daze.

Alaina wiped her lip and slowly wobbled and waved but sat up like a nearly unconscious Amazonian undertaker. She looked up at Bast as she swayed to her feet smiling with her teeth stained just a bit red.

"Come on!" Alaina said as she hit herself across the chest and slapped the side of her head smiling at Bast before slapping her right across the face! "COME ON!"

Bast was starting to think this woman was insane. It wasn’t possible that Alaina could take this level of punishment, that she could’ve withstood a battering of this calibre and kept coming. Her brain should have been shutting down, her motor functions shouldn’t have worked. At the very least, she should have been unconscious.

And yet, somehow, she kept getting back up. Even worse, she was fighting back, resisting, surging.

Bast stared at the rising Alaina, looking at her life corpse rising from the grave - which, maybe, she was. She marshalled herself soon enough, however, and refocused. It wouldn’t matter how many times this woman got up, she would put her down every time, as many strikes as she needed to get the job done.

Bast reeled back and let fly with a right cross, throwing her full power into the blow and aiming for the center of Alaina’s face - a true knockout punch.
