Party Hard & Rock Out

Mic continued to help Hinoka off the floor, taking her hand and then slinging Red's arm over her shoulders. "You're good, Red. We're just going to get you up and out of here," said the rocker, offering a more reassuring smile to Hinoka. She didn't want her to feel bad over this, and it was the most genuine concern she seemed to show her redhead companion the whole night thusfar. But as she began to try guiding Hinoka away, it looked like Hina was there to intercept them.

The Japanese woman, dressed in a rather slutty black dress that matched her black hair, smirked at the two. "That bitch is Hina Sazaki. And you're at her party." Hina had a smile on her face, but her word cut deeper than her smile suggested. "And you're welcome for all the alcohol you clearly assumed so you could embarrass yourself at my party," she added.

Mic gave Hina a dangerous look and then said, "Cool it, Hina. She had one too many. We're going to go sit down and I'm going to give her some water."

"Oh, no. By all means, I'm used to you doing embarrassing things at my parties. I just expected you to bring a date who had a little more sense than that, Michelle" retorted Hina, glancing at Hinoka again.

"Okay, we're out of here," said Mic Chick with a bitter tone to her voice, glaring at Hina before glancing over at Hinoka and then attempting to help her walk off of the dance floor.

"Wait...we are leaving? I was actually having some fun" the last part was almost inaudible and sounded like drunken babbling. Whether it was the music, her date or the drinks, she was feeling a bit more composed now and tried enjoying the experience. Everything was going fine besides a minor hiccup and the irritating third party.

"Oh I remember her...my great date told me a few things.." she exclaimed up until she heard Hina speak further. What was that part about embarrassing?! I have you know Mic Check is just being awesome!" the redhead shouted unintentionally drawing more attention to the duo.

Before Hinoka could start a fight or at least a small argument, she would hear Mic's suggestion to leave. "Fine...thank you" she grunted as she helped off the stage. The redhead kept an arm around Mic's shoulder. "What do you do at these parties she hates?" Hinoka whispered into her friend's ear.

Mic Chick had given Hina a final angry glare before her and Hinoka got off the dance floor and the rocker helped her date onto a couch off to the side. She then offered Hinoka a smile and said reassuringly, "Red, we're both having a great time tonight, alright? You've been awesome." She then pat the redhead on the head and said, "But I told you not to trust anything anyone says. And that means especially Hina, even if it is her shitty party."

The frontwoman then leaned in, giving Hinoka a kiss on the cheek. "I'm going to get you some water. Don't cause any trouble," added Mic Chick, smiling again and patting her cheek where she had just kissed her. She was, at that point, trying her best to make her friend feel better. She knew how much it sucked drinking a little too much, and she thought the least she could do was make Hinoka feel like she was okay. Mic would then walk through the crowd to go fetch her Red Hot date a water.

While she did so, however, Hina moved to sit beside Hinoka on the couch. "I just wanted to apologize for how things got back there," said the Japanese hostess of the party, smiling sweetly at the redhead. "It's just... where Michelle Cooper goes, trouble follows. And I hate that you got roped into it there," explained Hina, resting a hand on Hinoka's shoulder.

She was no longer at the risk of collapsing thanks to Mic's helping her to the couch. Hinoka just hanged back and relaxed while listening to Hina. Her date was eccentric but had good intentions so it seems. Maybe she had to lighten up more often and maybe this crazed party stuff will grow on her. "Sorry...again it just slipped my mind. I swear it won't happen" she tried keeping herself calm, promising to go by Mic's guidance, someone more experienced at this type of stuff.

Then she was given the kiss. It seemed the so called 'Red' started turning a bit pink. Getting a bit frisky was rather common at LAW, but the intention of comfort made Hinoka burn up on the inside. "Umm...yeah! No fighting from me!" she gave a delayed response as Mic was already walking through the crowd. How long that promise will last?

Another voice emerged beside her and it was Hina. She had to stay put otherwise she may get lost. Hinoka planned to shuffle to the edge of the couch and cover her ears, but then she heard a so called apology. "It's alright I...." she stopped midsentence upon as Hina started to smear Michelle. Hinoka thought back to running from the paparazzi and the awkward dress up inside the car. She then recalled Mic helping her find another connection, giving all sorts of advice about staying safe. Most importantly she inspired Hinoka to cut loose every now and then. Of course she wasn't going to take Hina badmouthing her but how?

She looked at Hina in the eye and smiled back. "You are a little right about her being trouble. I almost lost to her and look at my body! " she took a page from the blonde and tried being witty. "However she likes being called Mic Check remember. I was only drunk not deaf when you were talking about me on the dance floor. If I wasn't having fun here then I wouldn't be talking to you right now " she responded casually, turning her head away. Mic wasn't the sole target of Hina's words definitely. The host just wanted to make herself look better atevery angle.

"Although I'd probably leave myself after looking at at dress for five seconds." she whispered and then covered her mouth trying not to let out an immature giggle. Now that would lead to trouble.

Hina's mouth slowly slipped into a scowl as Hinoka began to reply to her. She had expected her to at least understand her points on Mic Check, but Hinoka seemed to fall for none of it. And then she made a grave error: insulting Hina's outfit.

Hina stood up and then glared at the redhead. "Who do you think you are? You come here to hang out with Mic Check of all people, which is already awful enough. But you come here looking like this? And making an ass of yourself at my party? And then you come at me to try insulting my outfit? You look like you raided your grandmother's closet and then tried hard to look like some alt girl troll. You should be lucky to be at my party. Do you not understand what a big deal this is and what a pathetic, immature child you are? And I--"

Hina stopped with a gasp, a cup full of water being thrown directly into her face by an irate looking Mic Check who had returned long enough to hear Hina's rant. She then reached down and grabbed a hold of Hinoka's hand and said, "We're leaving. Thanks for hosting, Hina," and she began to walk away with Hinoka in tow while Hina let out a frustrated scream behind them. Mic would continue to look angry as she tried to guide Hinoka through the crowd and then eventually to the entrance of the building again.

Predictably Hinoka would have to deal with more insults but directed at her this time. She may have to explain a few things to Mic if she gets kicked out. The redhead thought of literally slapping some sense into Hina, but there were a few issues. Firstly, that would lead to arrest as this wasn't associated with the promotion. Even then it probably wasn't worth the hassle. She didn't like bullies but only fought back to prevent any significant harm. This was definitely not on that level. Hinoka did her best to look away and ignore the host. If her ears get sore, she could just interrupt Hina midsentence and-


It seemed the redhead didn't need to think any further as Mic came to the rescue with a glass of water. However the blonde looked a bit mad herself. Could this be about causing trouble? She stood up and followed Mic as they were brought closer to the entrance. If Mic saw her as a liability, she may as well accept it now. "She kept getting into my space so I said something about her dress. I thought it would make her quiet but it did well..." Hinoka followed with another sigh. It was rather common for her to be self-loathing.

Mic Chick was brimming with anger, looking like she was ready to burst as she pulled Hinoka with her towards the entrance of the building. She didn't respond to her date until after she had gotten them both outside. When they did, Mic released Hinoka's hand and yelled, "No, fuck Hina!" She looked angry still as she continued, "She can talk shit on me all she wants, but she has no right to insult you! We don't need her crappy party, Hinoka. And don't you dare feel like you did anything wrong! Screw her!"

With a loud huff, Mic Chick shook her head. "I'm sorry I roped you into this, Hinoka." Mic's anger seemed to subside, turning more into sadness as she reached over, patting the redhead on the cheek affectionately before turning to walk to the steps and sat down on them, resting her head in her hands and closing her eyes.

Once again making the wrong assumption, but Mic being so agitated was rather discomforting for Hinoka even though she wasn't the target. If only the host was someone who didn't have a vendetta against Mic, then the night would have gone rather smoothly. This entire night gave Hinoka the opportunity to see an entirely different side to Mic Chick; Somebody who is willing to express their emotions and cater to others needs. Although she still had her limits clearly.

Realising how sad her date was, Hinoka also walked to the steps and sat beside her. She brought an arm out and wrapped it around the blonde's neck, pulling Mic closer to the redhead's right shoulder. Now grabbing her attention, Hinoka whispered into her ear. "Hey don't cry. You don't want anyone walking to get the wrong idea. There is nothing for you to be sorry about. That Hina bitch had no right to talk either of us like that. Her party or not. She is probably jealous of how you can have a lot of fun and still have a heart to help weird girls like me. Cmon where is the spunky Mic Check I know and love?" she said trying to be as supportive as possible

Mic Chick had just frowned at the concrete below her sadly while Hinoka sat beside her and pulled her head over to rest on the redhead's shoulder. The rockstar seemed surprised at first but then smiled, putting her arm around Hinoka's waist as she spoke. When she finished, Mic let out a laugh. "Jesus, Red, I'm not crying."

She then waited a moment, taking in everything else that Hinoka had said and continued, "It's cool. Just... a shitty party, you know? Thanks." Mic Chick would then kiss Hinoka on the cheek again and smile even more. "You did great tonight, babe." Mic would then wait another second to grin at Hinoka, then leaned in, giving her a proper kiss on the lips, hand resting on her cheek. "And you've been a damn good date."

The rocker stood up and then let out a sigh. "The night is still young. You wanna bounce from here and do something else? Another party? Grab a milkshake? Head back to your place? My place?" Mic would then smile, looking at Hinoka expectantly.

Hinoka was relieved upon hearing Mic laugh. While there were no tears, she expected some but luckily they were completely deterred. The blonde's body felt rather warm, maybe staying out here arm in arm wouldn't be such a bad idea.

Everything seemed to go well for the two. There was something in the back of Hinoka's mind urging to embrace her date. Mic gave the redhead yet another kiss on the cheek. Hinoka enjoyed the feeling of the rock star's lips on her face. "Thanks" she replied smiling back only turning slightly pink.. Maybe she could return the favour with a quick peck. She curled her lips and was ready to lean forward but Mic already beat her to it. Time seemed to stop for Hinoka as she closed her eyes and took in Mic's intoxicating scent.

It took around 15 seconds after parting lips for her to pay attention to the question. She didn't mind enjoying the night with a companion by her side. Now standing up "I think Hina is plotting to kill us so let's get out of here. Maybe we can get some milkshakes to get that tiny bit of alcohol out." thinking of a good excuse and trying to amuse Mic at the same time
