She got a shoulder up. Just as the three count was going down, Sheena twisted and got a shoulder up, breaking the pinfall. Around them, the fans went wild at Sheena's utter refusal to stay down; Kyo, for his part, knelt upright and rubbed a hand through his hair, partly out of frustration and partly to wipe his face from the accumulated moisture of this fight. Of course Sheena wasn't going to stay down, he thought to himself. Again and again, the girl had been impressing him in this match with her tenacity, and it seemed she wasn't about to stop now.
So, he decided, it looked like he would have to end this with his signature finisher. If he couldn't pin Sheena, then he was going to have to make her tap.
Standing up, Kyo grabbed one of Sheena's booted feet and used it to flip her over onto her front. After delivering a hard stomp onto Sheena's upper back-- more to keep her stunned than anything else-- Kyo would grab at her boots and try to fold her legs under his. If he managed this, then he would reach forward, trying to cup Sheena's chin and arch her head back.
If all went according to plan, then he would drop down onto his back, tucking Sheena's head under his armpit and using his legs to elevate her body up, stretching her upwards in his signature dragon sleeper/romero special finisher!

Re: Blood Feud: Kyo Akamatsu vs Wisteria Khan
Rammed into the corner of the ring and significantly dazed by the blow and left on noodle legs things were looking exceptionally bad for Sheena in every conceivable way as she was suddenly pushed back into the ring and pinned by Kyo. Perhaps for the last time going off the hushed silence that fell over the crowd as they waited with baited breath... only ot break out into cheers of astonishment as Sheena suddenly kicked out, managing to stay in this contest!
However she was far from out of the woods just yet. Kyo wasn't done with her and he wasn't about to give her any chance to recover, not when the match had gone on so long and it was clear he had a golden opportunity before him. Feeling herself forced over onto her stomach by the man and the backs of her legs gaining the pressure of her opponent's feet on top of her own, followed by her chin being grasped by Kyo's hands, all before she was suddenly pulled back and bent backwards with Kyo's arm coming around her neck for a dragon sleeper!
Eyes widening in shock and releasing a choked gasp from the move being locked in Sheena would waste no time in struggling and writhing within Kyo's submission! "Agh! Ngh!" Sheena gasped out, grabbing at Kyo's bicep, attempting to pull it back and gain some breathing room. Literally! It wasn't easy however, and the ringing she felt in her head from the contact with the corner, making this a particularly difficult position for her to be in, and leaving her little options for right now but to take it until her head cleared!

Re: Blood Feud: Kyo Akamatsu vs Wisteria Khan
The crowd was going wild now as Kyo managed to successfully lock in his signature finisher. With Wisteria's head tucked under his arm, and her legs intertwined with his, he was able to elevate her lower body up vertically, pushing her legs up towards the ceiling and hyperextending her legs and back, even as he relentlessly stretched Wisteria's head and neck back under his arm. It was a move that he had spent a lot of time practicing, and given how Sheena was frantically pawing at his arm and gasping, it was having the desired effect.
"Give up, Sheena!" He shouted, shaking his body once to give Sheena a painful jolt even as he stretched her relentlessly. "You're not escaping from this one! Tap out!" The crowd did not agree with Kyo's sentiments, hyowever: even as Sheena's body was arched upwards, her flexibility being tested to its limits, the crowd chanted her name in unison. "WI-STER-RIA! WI-STER-RIA!"
The ref girl dropped beside them, checking in case Sheena passed out, and more importantly, watching to see if she did actually tap out...

Re: Blood Feud: Kyo Akamatsu vs Wisteria Khan
This was bad. Really bad. About as bad a position as anyone can be in for a match at this stage in things. Trapped in one of her opponent's signature submissions, limbs restricted, throat gripped tightly, practically suspended in midair and without much recourse to do much of anything! Despite it all though Sheena wasn't done. Not yet, it was something she refused to concede!
Further motivated by the fans chanting her ring name Sheena would grit her teeth as she dug her nails into Kyo's arm, turning her focus from there... to her legs. Kyo's hold was good, but it was dependent on keeping her legs bound. Twitching and twisting her legs within his grip Sheena was slowly, but surely loosening his grip, all she had to do was stay conscious until then.
Luckily for her she'd manage to do just that, managing to pull her legs free from Kyo's own and falling backwards to the mat with a groan, the force of the fall surely breaking Kyo's grip on her neck. Desperate and running on fumes Sheena would use this brief opportunity to grab Kyo's shoulders, forcing him to a seated position before snaking her arms around his neck, squeezing down tight, putting all the strength she could muster into the surprise sleeperhold!

Re: Blood Feud: Kyo Akamatsu vs Wisteria Khan
Kyo clenched his teeth as he kept Sheena's head trapped under his arm, keeping it locked tightly even as he rocked his body back and forth, contorting Sheena's neck and upper back even more as he stretched her even further. The Akan girl had to be in a world of hurt right now, he knew, with her entire body being elevated and stretched backwards even as her air supply was cut off. Kyo had spent a lot of time working on this finishing move, and so far in his career, it had almost always made his opponents tap out.
And yet, somehow, Sheena was still refusing to tap.
Sweat beaded Kyo's forehead: by this point in the match, both wrestlers were starting to shine with sweat. Despite himself, Kyo was starting to feel frustrated again, and rocked his body again, hoping to send another jolt of pain up Sheena's spine and convince her to tap. All the while, though, Sheena grabbed at his arms, sinking her nails in. Kyo winced at the biting pain, almost not noticing Sheena swivelling her legs. It was then that Kyo realized what Sheena was doing: as effective as this elevation was, the interlocking of Sheena's boots under his was the weakest part of the hold...and now Sheena was working steadily to get her legs free.
No sooner had he realized this when Sheena's boots finally slipped free of his, and gravity kicked in, causing Sheena to fall down against Kyo. He gasped at the impact: his grip on Sheena's head, and their combined sweat, allowed the purplette to twist free and spin around. The next thing Kyo knew, he was being grabbed by the shoulders and yanked up to a sitting position, before Sheena suddenly pressed her whole body against his, her arms circling around his neck and her shoulder pressing into his windpipe as she cinched him in a guillotine choke.
"HKKKK--" Kyo gasped, startled by this sudden turnaround and his even more sudden inability to breathe. Unbalanced, he toppled onto his back, with Sheena pressed down on top of him, and pried at her arms, frantically trying to free himself as his opponent began to choke the life out of him...

Re: Blood Feud: Kyo Akamatsu vs Wisteria Khan
Desperation. It's the only word that could describe Sheena's counter and last ditch submissions hold on Kyo. Everything from her escape to scrambling back on top of Kyo and locking in the guillotine choke submission on him.
None of it was clean or graceful in the slightest, but instead was wild and aggressive, befitting the absolute battle the two of them were having so far and it would only get more desperate as Sheena gritted her teeth and closed her arm tighter around Kyo's neck.
"Give in! Just... Give up!" Sheena barked out, turning and moving with Kyo as he resisted, withstanding him grabbing her arm as best she could.
Pulling her weight to the side Sheena would try and turn over, pulling Kyo with her onto their sides, all so she could pull her legs up and wrap them around Kyo's waist, squeezing him for a bodyscissor submission on top of the choke which would press their bodies even tighter against each other while she hissed and growled softly as she moved to force a submission from Kyo, or knock him out completely!

Re: Blood Feud: Kyo Akamatsu vs Wisteria Khan
The crowd watched intently now as the two wrestlers toppled onto their sides, with Sheena now clamped tightly against Kyo as though in an embrace as she squeezed the life out of him. Even as Kyo tried to fend off Sheena's squeezing grip, her thighs came up around his firm abs, and the purple-haired wrestler put the entirety of her body into the squeeze now as she threw all of her strength into defeating her male opponent. Sheena's fans were on the edge of their seats as she made this sudden, desperate comeback...although more than a few members of the audience couldn't help but note how suggestive the close embrace of the two fit, attractive wrestlers seemed.
This was all lost on Kyo, however, as he found himself struggling and fighting to breath. His sides were screaming with pain now as Sheena's scissorhold began to crush his core, even as he felt her bicep pressing against his windpipe and cutting off his air supply. His own arms were pulling uselessly at Sheena's all encompassing grip, pying at her wrists, even pushing at her chin and cheek in a desperate, fading effort to free himself, the two wrestlers' sweating arms crisscrossing as they grappled up close on their sides.
The ref girl knelt down and, echoing Sheena, asked if Kyo gave up. He gave voice to nothing except ragged grunts and gags, the air caught in his throat, but shook his head, sweat spraying from his damp hair. He was not going to tap, not to an Akan. His family honour depended on him breaking free...
But slowly but surely, he felt his limbs becoming leaden and a grey haze settling across his vision. Hearing nothing but Sheena's clenched hisses and pants against his ear, his struggles faded, then ceased, his eyes going glassy as his arms finally went limp against Sheena's side.
Moving quickly, the ref girl ran over to grab one of Kyo's arms, raised it, and released it: the limb fell limply without resistance. She lifted and raised it again, and let it fall, then did so a third time. Kyo's arm fell lifelessly to the mat.
The ref girl immediately told Sheena to release Kyo, even as the bell rang and the audience erupted into cheers. It was over: after a grueling effort, Wisteria Khan had won.

Re: Blood Feud: Kyo Akamatsu vs Wisteria Khan
Desperation and determination alike was definitely fueling everything Sheena was putting into this guillotine choke. Knowing that this was her last ditch attempt at winning this match and if it failed she likely wouldn't be able to put up anything close to winning this. As such it was do or die in the biggest ways possible, coiling her limbs on end and gritting her teeth tightly to wrest the last of Kyo's air from him possible, even enduring his hands grabbing and pushing at her arm and face. Not allowing it to disrupt her Sheena would remain steadfast until finally she felt his resistance give way until finally he remained still in her arms, the ref coming to check once, twice... and finally three times with his arm falling to the side limp meaning that this long, arduous bout between legacies was over.
Heeding the referee's calls to let go Sheena would unwrap herself from Kyo's body, rolling him off of her before relaxing against the mat, panting and breathing heavily in the wake of the battle, but smiling now that it was over, that her name was being called over the speaker. Sitting up and holding her arm out in victory Sheena would be helped to her feet where she posed for the fans a bit before turning to look down at her fallen opponent. If he was starting to stir and wake back up, than Sheena would approach the downed man and hold her arm out, extending a hand to help him up in a show of sportsmanship!

Re: Blood Feud: Kyo Akamatsu vs Wisteria Khan
Kyo was visibly out of it for a few seconds as he lay on his back, breathing shallowly after having been so decisively choked out by Sheena. After those few seconds, though, his eyes fluttered open. Staring up at the painfully bright arena lights, he groaned, as realization finally began to slowly sink in for him.
He had lost. Family honour and pride had been riding on him and him alone...and he had lost.
An overwhelming sense of shame began to overwhelm Kyo. He wanted to hide his face from the cheering crowd, to roll out of the ring and leave as quickly as possible. He had failed his father, and his family, in a match where his family's honour and dignity had been on the line.
He had just been about to hurriedly roll out of the ring without saying a word...when he saw Sheena standing over him, looking out of breath and exhausted after their brutal match, extending a hand down towards him.
Kyo was silent for a few seconds. Then, wordlessly, he accepted Sheena's hand and allowed her to pull him back up. The crowd burst into applause at this display of good sportsmanship. Yes, Kyo had lost. But he also knew Sheena had fought hard enough to deserve win, and she had shown nothing but good sportsmanship and honourable conduct in this battle. While it stung Kyo to have lost a match as important to him.as this one, he was glad that it was to an opponent like Sheena.
"Good match," he breathed weakly, stumbling up to his feet as Sheena helped him up. He still made a point, though, if shaking Sheena's hand in a firm grip as she helped him up. "I guess the score between our families is in your favour...for now at least."

Re: Blood Feud: Kyo Akamatsu vs Wisteria Khan
Sheena wasn't sure if this was the right call, hell she half expected to get a ear full from Kyoko about this later on their weekly call, but to Sheena it felt right.
Kyo had fought hard as hell in this match, the only... less than reputable moments happening by accident as far as she could tell, he gave her no reason to wish him ill, other than the shared history of their families, but Sheena was trying to actively not let that define her.
Hence rather than be stoically neutral or worse yet disrespecting Kyo while he was down, Sheena would instead offer him a hand up, wanting to start this next chapter between their families on a more positive note, if Kyo was willing to accept that at least.
Seeing that he was though as he took her hand Sheena would help him up and reciprocate his hand shake, even as she stumbled slightly herself from helping him to his feet, but she nodded, accepting his words in good faith.
"Yeah, you fought well." Sheena said in acknowledgement of his skill before using their still shared grip to turn and raise his hand up as well as her own, making sure the crowd gave Kyo his flowers too as they cheered and whooped for both competitors.
"I don't think this will be the last running between us or our families, but I hope we can keep this energy in the future." Sheena said before finally dropping his hand and making her exit, casting one more look over her shoulder at Kyo before exiting the ring and heading up the ramp.
