Kyoko Akan (C) vs Katarzyna Zawiślak — Last Woman Standing Match for the LAW Middleweight Title

Kyoko snapped Kate's head down as hard as she could, making the challenger scream out and drop to her butt before falling to her side in pain from the neckbreaker. The sight made her smile knowing that she was getting closer and closer to breaking her down. But her target was still that body, which was where she knew she'd left the biggest mark, with Kate protecting her head after that fall she knew where to attack next and would slowly bring herself to her feet before she'd reach down and grab Kate's waist. Holding her tight she'd lift her up off her feet from the mat, showing off her strength and giving her no chance to escape the same way she did since she gave her no chance to use her leverage.

"This has gone on long enough, some other people want a turn with you so I'm going to give you a little lesson before I put you down and then they can join in after I'm done." Kyoko said. She'd hold Kate up and then try to lift her up even higher before dropping her down so that she was driven into Kyoko's knee. She tried to make the impact as painful as she could, wanting to spike Kate on her knee and leave her writhing in pain after the drop.

Kate was dazed after the latest attack, her neck aching like never before and she was helpless to stop Kyoko from starting to lift her off the ground. She'd look on as her feet slowly left the ground and as Kyoko spoke, the time she took doing that allowed Kate to assess her situation and act. She'd get her legs between Kyoko's own and under her knees to stall the lift as she'd reach back, going against the hold Kyoko had on her. If the woman thought she could easily outpower Kate, she was in for a world of hurt as she'd wrap her arms around her head from the side before releasing the legs and swinging them forward to get Kyoko of balance enough to get her to the ground with a bulldog takedown.

"What was that you said about me thinking it would be easy? Maybe you should take your own advice!" She'd say, keeping the bulldog locked and instead transitioning it to a choke variant as she had done before, but this time she had the hold on the neck already and all she had to do was lean back to make the champion struggle for air!

Kyoko lifted Kate up to hold her high enough to drop her down when Kate's legs interfered with her lift. Normally Kyoko held them from the side or with the head facing them to avoid them, but moving too quickly made her grab Kate from behind and created this moment that Kate could use to stop it, she still had enough control over Kate to try and shake her off until Kate reached back to try and grab her head. She tried to go against the hold as much as she could, forcing Kyoko to try and counter it before Kate could get her down, as her head reached to pull the Belly Queen in she quickly had to act and would try to press her head down to combat the hold and when Kate let her legs free to try and pull Kyoko down would push to force Kate off her, freeing the challenger but stopping Kate's takedown.

"Maybe you forgot this...but you're the challenger. A champ's already proven herself, you haven't!" Kyoko shouted, wondering what she had to do to get control and get back to attacking her body. It seemed anything she did to go for the abs was countered more than anything else, it only confirmed Kyoko's theory that Kate was hurting after the spear and was trying to avoid any more pain.

Kate's plan did not pan out but at the very least she forced Kyoko to let her go, the momentum she had at the moment of being pushed carrying her a few steps before she'd turn. "Knocked you on your ass with punches alone, then outgrappled and choked you unconscious. I already proved all I need, you just don't want to admit it out of spite" She said, getting a big wave of cheers echoing her words. Kyoko might not like it but Kate has been hanging in with her from the start and even that early spear though she was still feeling its effects did not stop her. If the champion didn't see her as worthy by now, it was an issue with her, not Kate's fighting.

In either case, Kate did not come here to convince Kyoko of anything, she came here to fight and she spent far too much time talking for her own taste. She would dart in now, faking a blow to the head as she would instead slip closer, trying to frame against Kyoko's shoulder to deliver a swift knee strike to her abdomen, giving the champion a taste of her own medicine!

Kyoko scoffed at Kate's words. "That's why I'm still standing here, because I was choked unconscious right? Fucking idiot." Kyoko said, bringing her hands up when she saw Kate approaching her again. She was capable of talking and fighting anyone, and was ready to knock her down again to prove it. She watched Kate barrel in aiming for the head, just to grab her shoulders instead, pulling her in for a knee to her stomach rather than another punch.

"Uggh!" Kyoko groaned, leaning in from the hit that tried to take her off her feet again. Her abs felt the knee dig itself in but still kept her from feeling the worse, and with Kate so close she would reach around and grab Kate's waist to keep her from walking away before throwing an uppercut to the rookie's face, then going for another to keep her knocking her around.

Kate's knee dug into its target and she was preparing to continue laying the hurt on Kyoko when she felt the woman grab her waist and pull before firing an uppercut at Kate's chin! "Ngggha!" She spat out as her head was whipped back, a string of saliva and blood flying through the air. She'd grit her teeth and force herself to focus despite the dizzying blow, seeing another fist come up, she'd lean back and try to grab the wrist while her other hand would be aiming to get an overhook on the arm that still gripped her by the waist.

"We are running one for one, that choke would have done the job in another match" She'd reply simply, acknowledging that Kyoko got one over her earlier but in other circumstances, the match would be done for twice over which the champion liked to ignore. But she would not linger for a response, instead, if her hold was as she planned, she'd start repeatedly driving her knee into Kyoko's stomach, putting as much power into it as she could with each blow to try and break the woman down!

Kyoko's punch caught Kate and forced her to change tactics. She tried to keep control of the wrist and get control of the arm around her waist while Kyoko fought both attempts as much as she could before taking another knee. "Uggh!" Kyoko gasped, feeling the knee dig into her abs again but refusing to buckle while she had strength, and she still had plenty. She would pull her arm back to try and keep Kate from taking it before she'd throw a knee of her own to Kate's belly.

"In another match my Spear would do the job, in another match I'd be trying different tactics or would be more cautious of submissions. No one cares about what would happen in another match, we're fighting in this one!" Kyoko said, digging her knee in if it hit and then trying to push into Kate while going for another, keeping her balance off while pressing the attack.

Kate's knee connected but her attempts at controlling the engagement up close would fall short as Kyoko managed to get her arms free and drove her own knee to Kate's stomach, digging in deep and reawakening the pain from the spear. "Khya!" She'd let out, leaning slightly forward and stumbling backwards, mercifully out of range of the follow-up.

"That's my point you dumb ass! Both of us had a winning play so do yourself a favour and stop looking down at me while you can!" It wasn't quite a threat, more so a reminder, Kate got Kyoko down once already and if she kept treating her as a nobody, she would do it again and again until this was over. Now she'd charge in, getting into the air to send a tornado kick at Kyoko's head... except, the kick would not come, instead upon landing kate would use the momentum of the turn to fit hook right to the champion's side!

Kyoko wasn't able to keep Kate close, and she backed away after the knee to avoid taking another, freeing Kyoko from Kate's grips when she retreated. The fight wasn't going to end soon at this rate, Kyoko needed a way to completely bring Kate down and find a place to punish her, and bring her down that way. "My point is that your little choke wouldn't work in another match dumb ass. Unless you're saying you'd fall for that spear in a normal match." Kyoko countered, almost sick of Kate's seemingly natural reaction to disagree with her, she was sure she could say her hair was purple and this spiteful rookie would find a way to argue against it. She simply prepared herself for the next move, watching Kate rush in and spin like she was looking for a kick, bringing Kyoko's arms up to block whatever came...until Kate went low and would go for a punch to the her side.

"Ngggh!" Kyoko groaned, taking the punch below her ribs and retreating back closer to the ropes. She felt the pain run across her side, but didn't put her down yet while she checked her surroundings so she wouldn't be surprised. She started to get an idea but it would be a little risky at the rate this match was going, still taking risks might be necessary if she wanted to put this match to rest faster.

After her punch connected and Kate was greeted to the sight of Kyoko retreating towards the ropes and she followed in after the woman. "What kind of point are you trying to make here? You seemed convinced the spear would take me down, what, you would not think that in another match?" She said, getting into a striking range.

"Cause you keep saying I think it would be easy but the only person that actually seems to think that is you!" Kate pointed out, despite everything she thought about the champion, she knew beyond any doubt that the woman was skilled and was a real danger to her and anyone else who'd come to challenge her. She couldn't quite tell why she even bothered talking though, it was not like they were gonna reach any understanding so she might as well save her breath. And so she would, stepping in closer and trying to force a clinch with Kyoko against the ropes, hoping to land a quick elbow to the woman's brow and another knee to the stomach!
