Toshiko Ito vs Amy Evans - Apex Qualifier

Amy was pulling back on her legs, holding Toshiko down and using her remaining strength to force Toshiko to stay still. The assassin gave her a fight just putting the hold on, and now once it was applied was putting up just as much of a fight into escaping. Amy didn't just use this hold for fun, she knew it well and how to keep it, trying a few times to pull her back to keep Toshiko from getting at the ropes, however it was hard to move them and maintain the hold at the same time so she could only move Toshiko a foot back while Toshiko cleared a little more than that already. She was fighting hard but she could also tell Toshiko was pushing herself so making it hard for her was all she could do.

"Guess I need to pull harder." Amy said trying to pull on the legs and sit down more to stretch them and Toshiko's back further, this position would make her unable to stop Toshiko from pulling them around if she could still do it but she knew Toshiko's entire body would a burning mess, after her powerbomb she was surprised Toshiko could move so well at all. But everyone had a limit and she knew that even if this submission didn't stop her she was close to finding the assassins.

Toshiko was trying her best to reach the ropes despite Amy's efforts to keep her from making her progress there. Gritting her teeth and groaning in pain, Ito was not going to give up to any sort of hold. She was trained against ever giving in like that. She wouldn't be able to look herself in the mirror if she tapped out to any hold such as this. The Japanese performer knew she needed to gut it out.

But then she felt further weight onto her back and Toshiko shrieked out in pain, pounding her fist on the mat multiple times in pain and frustration, and also to psych herself up. She was in agony, but she couldn't let herself go down like this. The sudden jolt of adrenaline saw her starting a more steady crawl towards the ropes, blinding through the pain and focusing just on the those ropes. And then eventually, Toshiko reached out and then grabbed onto the bottom rope, hissing in pain and gasping as the referee called for the rope break!

Toshiko was being bent to as far as Amy could pull while staying on her feet but all she did was strike the mat to force herself to keep going, her arms eventually continued the treck towards the ropes and eventually she would grab them and hold on to break the submission. The ref would start to demand the end of the hold and Amy would comply only after a few seconds before turning back to Toshiko, the calm look on her face replaced with pain and desperation, it was the most vulnerable Toshiko had looked since the bell rang.

"Toughed it out, but she's close. I keep hitting her, she won't be able to get back up." Amy said to herself. Telling her how she had a chance even when most of her moves had been used, Toshiko's limits were close to being met and Amy knew she just needed to keep striking. Though she would have to wait for Toshiko to get back up she would stay close and try to goad Toshiko into attacking before she was ready by giving her leg a slight kick.

Ito grabbed hold of the ropes, grunting and groaning as she coped with the pain from the hold after being let go. She hated to be in this position--looking vulnerable to her opponent. She had no choice with the agony her legs and back were in now. Toshiko knew she needed to get through it though and stand. She couldn't let up. She needed to take it to Amy and fight back before she could be beaten. And as Ito was starting to get back up, grabbing onto the ropes for leverage. Her body shook as she powered through and attempted to get back up.

Toshiko then felt a kick to her leg and she nearly collapsed right there as her legs began to fold, but she clutched onto the ropes tight, letting out a growl of annoyance. Then, she would use the leg that wasn't kicked and fire it back towards Amy, aiming to hit a mule kick directly towards her knee cap, hoping to at least slow her opponent and open her up for further attacks.

Amy and Toshiko were worn down and fighting the pain they both felt everywhere, she would follow her when she grabbed the ropes knowing that if Toshiko was retreating she was in real trouble. Just from the way she was always after her told her that Toshiko did not want to take a break without reason and Amy had a bunch of reasons to not give her that kind of freedom. Amy kicked her leg to force her down and make her easier to control, but Toshiko wouldn't stay down like that, she would try to keep them at an even level by throwing her leg back and kicking her knee.

"Grrngh!" Amy growled while falling. Tired as she was she couldn't stay up on one leg and Toshiko's strikes never seemed to lose too much power. But she could be just as stubborn as Toshiko, her hand moved up to her side and she would press into Toshiko's back with both of them down and Toshiko on the ropes, Amy would throw a punch in her side twice, trying to stun her and attempting to pull Toshiko off the ropes .

Toshiko's kick landed hard, nailing Amy's kneecap and stalling her for at least a few moments. The two bigger women were now going at a slower pace due to the exhaustion, and Ito was struggling as she reached back to hold her own hurt leg with one arm resting on the ropes still. She knew she needed more time to recover, especially with what she's been through in this match up, but she wasn't sure what she could do immediately to get that time.

But then Evans pushed Toshiko down into the mat by her waist, getting a grunt of pain from the pressure as she tried to move, but then felt two punches into her other side. "Ah! Hssssshhhh...!" she yelled out with each blow, closing her eyes tight as she was now stunned entirely. The Japanese wrestler was now not able to fight back from those two hard shots and helpless for Amy pulling her away from the ropes as she let out stifled grunts of pain.

The fighting between the two of them had reached a point that it seemed anyone could win just off who got the next lucky hit in the match. That seemed to go in Amy's favor who managed to hit Toshiko in the sides and stun her, before pulling her off the ropes to bring back to the center. Toshiko might have been stunned and Amy wanted to make sure that she didn't get a chance to fight back. Holding her close Amy would try to lift Toshiko up for a big German, letting Toshiko go at the last second of her lift to drive her to the mat as hard as possible.

After the German, Amy would turn back around to get up, moving slowly while trying to get a good idea on what to do against next before just deciding that her next best attack was to try and go for the finish after dropping Toshiko like that. Grabbing her arm she would force Toshiko back up before trying to lift her up on her shoulder to set up her other finisher, putting everything she had into the final set up on an F-5 and finish Toshiko off.

Toshiko was running close to empty on her strength, and Amy's shots were making it worse for her. Sweat poured from her brow as she clutched the mat, letting out wheezing breaths. And then, she felt her body be grabbed more firmly from behind. With a grunt of exertion, Ito had tried to use her leg to block whatever may happen, but Evans was just a little quicker. She raised Toshiko up into the air and then released her, sending the Japanese girl crashing into the mat hard! Ito landed on her head and shoulders before continuing to roll, folding forward limply. Her mind was in a haze of pain as she let out deeper grunts of pain and could only stay there with her head buried in the mat.

After some time, Amy had managed to grab hold of Toshiko once more and was hoisted onto the blonde's shoulders. Toshiko Ito's limbs hung over her shoulders as she kept her eyes closed, trying to will herself to break out somehow, but she couldn't. Next came the F-5 that spun her around before sending her spiraling into the mat, smashing down onto her head! Toshiko lifted up, body bouncing off the ground before flopping back forward onto the mat, not moving. If there was any fight left in Toshiko, it was clearly gone now, as the Japanese performer was now laying on her front, no effort made to even get away. Her body wouldn't allow it.

Amy dropped Toshiko with the F-5 but couldn't jump on her like she did the Powerbomb. She was tired, and everything hurt since her adrenaline kick had finally run dry. Her crawl to Toshiko took only a few seconds but in wrestling those seconds were precious, once again grabbing a leg and pulling it up for good measure. The ref wasted no time and quickly dropped down to start the count.

"ONE!"
"TWO!"

Toshiko didn't move, and neither did Amy. She had to believe that everything was over after that last hit, but she was too tired to think about anything besides holding on for the pin until a kick out or decision was made. Whatever came next wasn't up to her, the Lion could only sit back and wait for the next turn of events.

Toshiko Ito's body had completely shut down at this point. All she could feel was the pain and the numbness in her body and head. She felt herself being rolled over onto her back again and her leg hooked, but for Toshiko there was nothing that she could do. She could barely hear the count around her.

Toshiko was done, finally taken down by another giant maneuver from Amy Evans who had gutted it out to take her down. Ito had been defeated, and she wasn't able to even comprehend in her head what that meant for her right now. But she knew when she had an opportunity to consider her failure to win, she knew it would be bad for her.
