This was fun. A lot of fun. Lovers had almost forgotten how much she loved tag team wrestling - or, more specifically, tag-team wrestling with Yuri. She’d gotten into singles action after they’d split up, and that had been okay, but it was, well…lonely. She didn’t have anyone in her corner, no one cheering her on, save for the audience. And they were nice, sure, but they were an impersonal mass that changed from night to night. Having a partner, one partner, giving her specific support was so much better. It helped her fight, helped her focus, made her feel centered…
It was everything she needed, and she was glad to have it again. If only for one night.
But everything had to come to an end, and she knew exactly how to close this up. With Morgan sitting like this, she was the perfect target, and she was more than willing to pull the trigger…that was, until she got a last request from her would-be victim. It simply wasn’t in Lovers’ nature to deny someone a kiss, so she went, fully accepting as Morgan pulled her and giving the woman one of her sweetest kisses. A gentle touch, not too aggressive, with a willing and adventurous tongue, slipping in and sliding about.
Hot heavy. What a perfect way to end a match. ”Mm. So tasty.” She bopped Morgan on the nose. ”Sweet dreams, beautiful.”
With that, Lovers broke out into a run, dashing back towards the behind Morgan. She bounced off, came dashing in once more with a full head of steam, and swung her knee at the back of the woman’s head, looking to take her out with a decapitating strike - the Heart Attack.

Re: The TBDs vs. Scary Love - LAW Is For Lovers
Mmm, saliva.
Morgan loved making out. It was so personal and sweet without being too committal. It was also a great way to read personalities. Hanako had such a soft temperament, carefully balanced with passion and gentleness to make whoever she was kissing comfortable and know they are desired. It felt great but while they were making out, Morgan concentrated on deep breaths through her nose which was a little difficult considering the distraction. It was doing wonders to clear her head of all that fog she felt like she still had. It was a shame when the kiss finally broke.
Aww. Morgan got her boop on the nose but this was going to be the end.
Callie stood there with an upturned eyebrow as she watched their kiss linger and advance. It finally broke and Morgan was just content to sit there? Wait, Lovers turned to run off and...
Shit. That was bad. All the makings of a finisher or something grand. Morgan would be out cold and this match would be over.
"Morgan! Finale!"
Callie hollered. It had been the first time really in the match that she called out to her partner and such a strange thing to use. Not duck or move like before. Finale? She never understood it either, but Morgan's love of performances made her want to heighten the drama. To her, everyone just using their proclaimed signatures and finishers without a heightened sense of drama. Of course she had never been in a wrestling match so she didn't know when the drama would be at its highest, but she always said she'd love to hit her own finisher when the other is trying theirs. It is such a subvert of expectation, she always said.
So when Morgan heard Finale, her grin sharpened. She had a chance to perform the grandest of subversions that would be much better than just going out. Throwing her torso forward so her forehead tapped the mat, Morgan shortened her profile just in time to avoid the oncoming kick. With the revitalizing time she had in her makeout, there was plenty of energy for her to hop up to her feet and meet the turning stunned gaze of her opponent, Lovers by reaching out to circle an arm around the lower jaw. She turned and leapt, pulling Lovers in with the maneuver to bring her down to the mat in the Magician's only special move. Deck Cut.
The mat shook and Morgan swung around to flip Lovers over and throw an arm over her opponent's chest, a leg over her midsection as the ref slid in to start the count.

Re: The TBDs vs. Scary Love - LAW Is For Lovers
Halloween saw the kissing. She couldn't not see it. It was anything but subtle - the two blonde just deciding to make out, right in the middle of their match, the same antics that had been going on from the start. It shouldn’t have bugged her, she knew it shouldn’t have, but damned if it wasn’t. Lovers being Lovers.
She fought the urge to say something. The two of them were going to have a little chat about all this when they were done, anyway, to see if this whole tag team thing was viable, and they could discuss the whole ‘kissing’ thing, then. She was pretty sure Lovers was looking to get involved in hentai matches, and she had no intentions of getting dragged into that craziness.
Later. For now, she sat back and watched as-
”Shit!”
That expletive came flying out the moment Morgan ducked under the knee, letting it fly overhead and leaving Lovers to stumble. What came next was like watching a car wreck in progress - seeing what was about to happen, knowing what mistake had been made, having enough time process it, but not nearly enough to stop it. Morgan leaped up, caught her with the cutter, and down she went crashing into the mat, easy prey for the pinfall. ”Nonono-”
Halloween dove into the ring and scrambled towards the downed pair, hoping against hope that she could reach them before the final fall. Just one second, all she needed was one second-
”2…!”

Re: The TBDs vs. Scary Love - LAW Is For Lovers
She couldn't believe that worked.
Callie was amazed her Morgan had not only managed to avoid a crushing defeat but also managing to flip the script entirely. Lovers was out, Morgan had the pin. Yet, Callie had missed it all, only hear the results and catching it in the edges of her vision, because she had a more important duty. Earlier in the match she caught they were the kind to intervene in a submission hold. So on the crux of a crucial pin, that was guaranteed. Her hawklike gaze focused on Halloween just in time to catch the initial movement that Halloween made to get into the ring.
Not surprising.
Ducking into the ring, Callie booked it towards Halloween, barreling her whole weight ahead as she sought the angle to intercept Lovers' attempted savior. Turning her shoulder, she rammed Halloween with all 120lbs in the nick of time, just beyond the toes of Morgan as she laid stretched out. Callie's shoulder throbbed as she fell to the mat but she sat up just in time to see the referee's hand come down for the third and final time.
"3...!"
Ding! Ding! Ding!
They had won.

Re: The TBDs vs. Scary Love - LAW Is For Lovers
…what just happened?
Lovers was still trying to process the last couple of seconds, as if her brain needed to catch up with everything that had just happened to properly make sense of it all. A hard reboot.
She had been running at Morgan from behind, getting ready to hit her with the Heart Attack. One of her best moves, a sure match ender, never failed…when it hit. Which it did, 99.9% of the time. People couldn't dodge what they couldn't see, and she was always sure to come at them from that angle, take them down before they knew what was happening. Good, reliable stuff.
Or so she thought, until the moment Morgan managed to do it, somehow, someway. She’d missed, but okay, she could spin around and land something else. It wasn’t the end of the world.
She had spun around, and she remembered her head being grabbed, and now-
”3…!”
Oh.
Lovers blinked, twice, as her focus came back and she was able to make sense of her environment. The crowd was cheering, the bell was ringing, and she could see Callie and Halloween nearby, with her partner on her back and groaning, looking none too pleased. Morgan was draped across her, her shoulders were on the mat, and you didn’t have to be Perry Mason to solve this particular mystery.
”Uh…oops.” Lovers grimaced as she looked over Halloween’s way. ”Sorry, Yuri.”

Re: The TBDs vs. Scary Love - LAW Is For Lovers
"Aha!"
Morgan hollered as the bell rang. She hopped up onto her feet, the pain and exhaustion of the match fading away to the cheers of the crowd. She turned and bounced on her feet watching as Callie was staggering to her feet in a hurry. She looked positively shocked because she was. Callie couldn't believe her debut in the big leagues with a win.
"Morgan! Nice work!" She meant that. Despite how rough her wrestling ability was, they still managed to put together a win against a team that, by all measures, was good. There was probably some diminishing measure considering Halloween and Lovers had been a former team, reunited and not at peak form, but they were still good wrestlers. Was Callie on par? She didn't know, really. Maybe it was luck that netted them a win but hey, she'd rather be lucky than a loser. No offense to the other team, of course.
Morgan and Callie high-fived with both hands and then embraced each other as they were high on emotion. Breaking apart, Morgan was back to her giggling ways as she ran over to the ropes to cheer with the crowd. Callie allowed her shoulders to slump, relieved that today turned out pretty good.

Re: The TBDs vs. Scary Love - LAW Is For Lovers
”It’s okay, Hanako.”
Halloween couldn't hide the disappointment in her voice - or maybe she just didn’t care to - but it really was. This was a tag match, so it wouldn’t affect her singles record, and it had been one that took her by surprise, anyway. Considering how rusty she and Lovers were as a team, they vastly overperformed, and it wasn’t like the TBDs were pushovers. They were both good wrestlers, even if Morgan was a pain in the ass. Hell, she had to respect the girl’s tricky style, from one troublemaker to another.
She huffed, stood up, and helped Lovers do the same, dusting themselves off as they faced their celebrating rivals. ”Good match, good match.” Halloween folded her arms as she looked their way. ”Not half bad, for a cocky little brat. Maybe I’ll see how well you do without a babysitter, sometime.”
Halloween stuck her tongue out at Morgan and proceeded to make her exit out of the ring, followed shortly by Lovers - after she’d blown a kiss towards the rookie, of course. ”I’ll be seeing you later, beautiful. Count on it.”
She winked, a silent promise and slipped the ropes as well, trailing only a few feet behind Halloween.

Re: The TBDs vs. Scary Love - LAW Is For Lovers
Callie nodded to her opponents. "Good match." She wasn't that big of a celebrater like Morgan was. Wasn't much of a gloater either.
Morgan hopped over and joined the others in their goodbyes. She giggled as Halloween sort of offered a challenge in a singles match. Also brat? Morgan was cocky but she didn't think brat fit her. "Anytime Halloweenie. I'm about to hit my stride in wrestling so another win wouldn't be so bad."
Then Morgan offered Lovers a wave with wiggling fingers in response to the blown kiss. She would be sure to figure out something with Lovers at some point. She was too fun otherwise but who knows. Either one of them could be fun. "Bye bye for now, Hanako!"
With that all done, Callie gestured to outside the ring. "Well a win is a win. I guess we should celebrate."
Morgan bounced as she lead the way. "I pick the place! I saw some cool rooftop place online and I already picked it out as our place for a victory drink!"
Callie turned her head, stepping out of the ring. "You booked a place knowing we'd have a victory?"
"Weeelll a drink to celebrate or a drink to lament. Could have been either."
Callie chuckled. Yes, it could have very well gone either way. Oh well, onto a very nice evening.
