Kyo felt Valley'a powerful arms now straining hard against his as he locked in the hammerlock. He clenched his teeth and held on, not wanting the powerful Californian to get her arms free. All the while, he squeezed into her toned midsection with both legs, pouring pressure onto a midsection that, hopefully, was already quite sore from the earlier abdominal stretch. Valley, other credit, did not cry out: instead she did the smart thing and began the slow, arduous process of trying to roll the two of them towards the ropes.
Kyo responded by leaning back against the roll, trying to slow Valley down as much as possible. It was a losing effort, but it would at least, hopefully, give Kyo time to wring a submission from her. This close, Kyo could feel Valley's arm, back and torso muscles ripple as she strained against him, and he felt sweat slide down his forehead as he fought to maintain control.
"Alright..Valerie...thinking of tapping yet?" he whispered in her ear. If she responded in the negative again...and he strongly suspected she would...then Kyo would quickly release one of Valley's arms and instead wrap his free arm around her throat to add a rear naked choke hold to her woes. True, it would leave her with an arm free, but it would also give Kyo a chance to weaken Valley further as she dragged them towards the ropes...

Re: A Clash of Legacies: Kyo Akamatsu vs Valley Doll III
Ugh, this wasn’t working. As strong as Valerie’s legs were, she was still one person trying to push a combined weight of well over 300 pounds across the ring. It would’ve been a hard enough sell if she was fresh and she wasn’t being squeezed in half while her arms were wrenched, but those combined factors made the task arduous. Maybe she could’ve pulled it off with enough time and effort, but by the time she did, how much of her already dwindling reserves would she have left?
No, she needed a different answer than a simple rope break, and as he wrapped his arm around her neck, that answer came to him.
She was brought back to a match she’d watched her mother in against someone, a powerful redhead with a name that escaped her at the moment. The redhead’s big thing had been her destructive legs, and she’d caught the elder Valley in a similar move, trapping her upper body and crushing her midsection with devastating force. It looked like a desperate situation until her mother turned things around with some positioning and won the match.
She wasn’t sure if history could repeat itself, but she had to try. With Kyo synching in the rear naked choke, Valerie switched from pushing with her legs to arching them, pushing up and bridging, a move that would push his shoulders to the mat. The referee recognized it for what it was, dropped nearby, and started up the count.
”1…!”

Re: A Clash of Legacies: Kyo Akamatsu vs Valley Doll III
It was taking a lot of effort on Kyo's part to keep Valerie locked in place: the blonde powerhouse was inching ever closer to the ropes. Even as he slid an arm around her throat and squeezed, neatly cutting off her air supply, Valerie was still pulling them towards the ropes, albeit a lot more slowly. Truly, this woman's stamina was something else: any other opponent would have tapped, or started to pass out by now. Valley Doll was doing neither.
Instead, Valley was doing something unexpected by suddenly rolling in the other direction.
Kyo gave a short cry of surprise as he was suddenly manouvered onto his back, and then Valley was suddenly arching up off that mat, taking his lower body up with her as he continued to scissor her...and in the process, pushing Kyo's shoulders firmly against the mat in a well-executed pinfall. Kyo's was still feeling the surprise even as the ref came over and started the countdown.
"ONE! TW--"
With a yell, Kyo twisted sideways, kicking out and releasing Valley. As frustrating as it was, Valley was proving to be every bit as cunning as she was tenacious. Kneeling upright, Kyo took a few vital seconds to catch his breath, before grabbed a hold of Valerie's blonde head to yank her to her feet, and then strode forwards, aiming to ram her face-first into the nearby turnbuckle! If that did the trick of stunning her, then he would spin her around and try to follow up, lowing his head and driving a shoulder hard into her abdomen! He had to keep the pressure up on this girl, knowing how powerful she was...

Re: A Clash of Legacies: Kyo Akamatsu vs Valley Doll III
Damn it, so close. Too close. When her mother had tried that, it had been enough for her to win the match, but her opponent had been relatively inexperienced in the ring, coming over from a MMA background. Kyo, by comparison, was far more competent when it came to things like pins - when he heard the count start-up, it was like a reflex, breaking out before she could get past the second count. Valerie flopped over to her chest and went into a coughing fit, sucking in air, grasping her throat with one hand while she smacked the mat in frustration with the other.
However, she wasn’t given much time to wallow in her failure as Kyo moved in, grabbed her by the head, and forced her to stand up, making her rise on wobbling knees. Still dazed and trying to refill her lungs, she could only put up a token resistance as she was marched forward and had her face rammed against the turnbuckle, a move that left her seeing white for a wild moment.
Valerie was spun around, pushed against the turnbuckle, and then had what little air she’d been able to recover driven out of her one again as Kyo shot his shoulder into her stomach. His strategy was getting clearer - targeting her midsection, attacking her core, robbing her air, taking away her best assets. He was wearing her out. If she couldn't breathe, it wouldn’t matter if she was stronger or faster than him.
She needed out of this corner. Now.
Valerie gritted her teeth, brought her arm up, and hammered his upper back with her elbow, aiming for the soft spot where the shoulders met. She would try that same move a few more times right after - she wasn’t able to muster much power for them at this angle, but she figured quantity could make up for quality. Anything to make him back off, if only for a few seconds.

Re: A Clash of Legacies: Kyo Akamatsu vs Valley Doll III
Kyo felt the reverberating thud of impact as his shoulder slammed home against Valerie's midsection. Heard his opponent's grunt of pain as his spear hammered into her already sore midsection. Felt her bosom press a little against his upper back as she doubled over. Took a deep breath and tried not to be distracted by the sensation. Readied himself to hit Valerie with another spear, or to drag her out of the corner for a bulldog.
And then her elbow came down between his shoulders like a pickaxe piercing through rock.
Sharp pain exploded along Kyo's spine, and her nearly fell to his hand and knees. It took a lot of effort on his part not to, though he still staggered back a few steps, wincing hard from the blow.
And then went right on the offensive again, rushing forwards, spinning at the last second to whirl his entire body around to deliver a stunning forearm chop to Valley Doll's temple. He had her literally on the ropes: after everything that Valerie had done so far in this match, Kyo knew he couldn't give this blonde powerhouse a chance to recover.

Re: A Clash of Legacies: Kyo Akamatsu vs Valley Doll III
Valerie needed to get out of this corner. Kyo had been hounding her the entire match, especially turning it up in the second half, and she was savvy enough to know that kind of aggression would spell doom with her current position. As big and strong as she was for a female wrestler, she still had her limits, and she found herself rapidly reaching them.
This had to reach an end. The elbow to his back was a move born of desperation, a frantic attempt to make some daylight between them, and it worked…for all three seconds. When they were over, he was back on the offensive, rushing in and slamming his forearm across her skull with a clubbing blow. It was a wild hit, and it might have knocked Valerie clean over if the ropes hadn't been there to catch her. As it was, it was enough to leave her sagging against the turnbuckle, aching and gasping, fighting for every conscious moment.
But not defeated. Not yet.
Valerie sucked in a lungful of air and gripped the ropes tight, preparing her body for exertion. With a solid hold, she pulled up, tucked her knees in towards her chest, then shot both of her legs out at once, firing them at Kyo’s upper body. It would likely hurt him if it connected clean, but that wasn’t her main aim - she wanted space, first and foremost, and she hoped to knock him back towards the center of the ring.
At the same time, she’d used the momentum from the kick’s recoil to help pull herself over the top rope and make her way out onto the ring, only narrowly avoiding a slip on the ring apron when she landed. She kept her hold on the ropes as she walked along the edge of the ring, stalking her prey, getting into position…

Re: A Clash of Legacies: Kyo Akamatsu vs Valley Doll III
Kyo's head was still ringing from the elbow even as he retaliated, delivering a brutal forearm chop of his own to Valerie's noggin. It was a wild strike, but not an unpracticed one: his signature hari waza forearm chop was designed to disorient his foe with a simple but decisive blow to the forehead, and it looked like it had done the trick. Valerie was now sprawled against the corner post, visible dazed, seemingly close to defeat.
It was the moment Kyo needed to rush forward clamp an arm around her head, and, squeezing that head tightly against his chest, run forward to bulldog her face-first into the mat. From there, with Valerie now stranded in the center of the ring, Kyo could go for another pinfall, or another debilitating submission hold: either way, the match would be his to hopefully win.
Like all plans, however, it didn't survive the enemy intact.
Both of Valerie's boots kicked out at that point, hammering Kyo hard in the chest. The blow nearly knocked him over-- nearly. Instead, though, he was sent stumbling backwards, trying to regain balance, breathing hard and trying to regain that breathing, even as Valerie began to clamber up to the top rope...

Re: A Clash of Legacies: Kyo Akamatsu vs Valley Doll III
This was it. This had to be it.
Valerie could feel that she was rapidly nearing the end of her rope. She’d been trading hard with Kyo since the start of this match, putting herself to the test physically, mentally, and maybe spiritually. While her wrestling career was still fresh, she doubted she would be tested this way anytime soon, and she was glad for that - there was only so much of this she could take.
But now, as she reached her peak, she could sense that the end was closing. One way or another, she needed to bring some finality to this match, and as she launched herself out on the apron, she saw her chance.
Valerie had developed a few finishers, moves that she thought would be good choices to close out a match. She’d never used them in that roll before, so this would be a learning experience. They were both in a good position for it, too - Kyo was staggering near the center of the ring, while Valerie was on the apron. She skipped along the skirt until she was directly parallel to his position, looking straight towards him. She grabbed the ropes tight with both hands, took a deep a breath…
Ready.
Aim.
Fire.
Valerie pulled her way into the ring, using the ropes to aid her as she did a front flip. She came down on her feet, then used the bounce and momentum to propel herself forward, aiding her as she swung her arm at his chest, looking to hit him with a Buckshot Lariat - or, as she called it, the Big One.

Re: A Clash of Legacies: Kyo Akamatsu vs Valley Doll III
Valerie had to be close to dropping. She had to be: after all of the punishment Kyo had inflicted upon the atomic blonde, it amazed him that she was still standing. Come to think of it, he was amazed he was still standing after the way Valerie had all too happily ragdolled him for much of the match. He was ignoring his body's every instinct to just lie down even as he was sent staggering by her double kick.
He fought hard to regain his balance, cursing under his breath. He righted himself just in time to see Valerie propelling herself off the ropes, one powerful arm raised like the descending blade of a scythe...
Hard worn instincts kicked in: Kyo ran forward, and ducked. A lot was riding on him ducking this one, pivotal move: if he managed it, then he would be able to come rebounding off the ropes. And if he failed...well, then he would get to feel firsthand just how powerful this airborne lariat was...

Re: A Clash of Legacies: Kyo Akamatsu vs Valley Doll III
Valerie had never executed this specific move on anyone before in an actual match, only nailing her brother with it a few times in practice. That alone was enough to make her believe this move could serve as a finisher, but there was only way to know with absolute certainty. Kyo was going to be the test subject. If she could put him down with this, then she could put anyone down with it.
She landed, surged forward with the momentum of her bounce and speed combined, swung her arm, and…
…missed. Damn it.
Valerie cursed under her breath as she went hurtling forward, still heading to the ropes with a head full of steam, no way to slow down. Kyo would be rebounding, too, she was sure of it, and whatever he came with was likely to drop her. She wasn’t in a good position to dodge, so her only options were to either counter whatever he was about to do or just hit him before he had the chance to execute. Both risky. Both gambles.
Valerie opted for the second option. There was another move she could hit him with, something she had only workshopped a little. She wasn’t sure what kind of impact it would have on him, but in theory, it could do the trick. Something uniquely suited to her speed and explosive power, something that would bring him straight to the mat all at once.
Valerie hit the ropes with her back, dashed towards Kyo at top speed, ducked down at the last second and threw all of her bodyweight into his midsection with a wrestling classic - the Spear.
