Kayla vs. Ryuko Rematch!

Ryuko felt Kayla kick out and the thunder empress cursed under her breath as she rolled to the side, slapping the mat in frustration as she was on her knees looking over at the downed woman. She was going to really have to hammer her to keep her down wasn't she.....

Ryuko got up to her feet and pulled Kayla up by the hair, tossing her into the corner and starting to work her over like a boxer hammering away at a punching bag! Ryuko was throwing a couple body punches before sending a fast elbow to the side of Kayla's jaw to stun her and then hammering her in the abdomen again with the biggest knee strike she could muster! Ryuko was pounding away at Kayla to try to really show her who she was messing with before attempting something bigger than before...

Seeing Kayla's tenacity being put to the test against the Thunder Empress, a few fans in the crowd cheered for the Californian challenger. Even if Ryuko's talents as a veteran wrestler and a recognizable icon of the ring had won her plenty of supporters of her own, many were eager to see Kayla standing up to her. They saw she had the willpower to stand up against insurmountable odds, and that was even more apparent now, as her determination spurred her on to kick out of Ryuko's pin!

That wasn't to say Ryuko's moves didn't hurt, of course. Even if she had gotten out of immediate danger, Kayla was still weary. She pushed herself up from the mat, gasping for air and shaking sweat from her brow as she propped herself up on her elbows. That was a moment she was open, and a moment Ryuko could turn to her advantage! Suddenly, Kayla let out a yelp as she was dragged up by the hair, and swung straight into the corner with a thud! What followed was a barrage of punches and strikes coming from all angles, landing too fast for Kayla to keep up. She was thrown from one side to the other as she twisted and buckled from each blow.

Flattened by the onslaught of attacks, Kayla let out a pained groan, beginning to sink lower down the post. But Ryuko wouldn't allow her to get far, and as she landed an elbow to the jaw she sent Kayla's chin flying upward in an arc that straightened her back to her feet as she cried out with a gasp! Soon after, Ryuko's knee strike buried itself in the girl's stomach. Her scream was cut short as the air was forced out of her lungs, and with a wheeze, her face contorted in a wince, Kayla doubled forward over Ryuko's knee, her arms dangling limp below her.

Ryuko grinned ear to ear when Kayla felt like dead weight. She nodded to the crowd, pointing and smiling as she confidently thought herself to be in total control. Ryuko grit her teeth, grabbing hold of Kayla and trying to lift her up. The thunder empress was attempting to heft Kayla up into the air to put her in position for a muscle buster, a move that Ryuko felt would spell certain doom for her opponents chances at defeating Ryuko inside the ring. Ryuko was ready, grabbing her foe and starting the process of lifting her up to get her in position for the painful move.

Pinned in the corner, Kayla had nowhere to go, and nowhere to hide. Even if she could, she wouldn't get far when Ryuko's knee was crushing her abdomen! The blow had knocked the wind out of the Californian wrestler's lungs and left her hanging limply over her opponent's knee, gasping for air. Now, Ryuko had the perfect opportunity to set up her finishing move - and from the way she was playing to the crowd, everyone knew it. The cheers were rising in the stands as Ryuko worked everyone up, and they clapped and chanted along.

As soon as Kayla felt herself being lifted onto Ryuko's shoulders, she knew exactly where this was going. The muscle buster was the same move Ryuko had used to defeat Kayla in their last match, and the Californian's blood ran cold as she recognized the position her opponent was setting her up in. If this hit, she would be done for.

Even worse, she would have been finished off by the same move she had lost to before. It would be the ultimate rebuttal of everything Kayla had tried to prove through this match. If she lost here, she wouldn't have grown. She wouldn't have improved. And everyone would know it.

No. Kayla couldn't let that happen!

The urge to stick it out through the odds and to prevail no matter what rose in her. She felt the strength return to her arms and legs, and she clenched her teeth in defiance. Everything was riding on this, now more than ever, and she resolved to make it count! Kayla reached down to loop her arms around Ryuko's waist while she was held aloft, looking to pull her back and roll her off her footing before she could drop her!

Ryuko thought she had Kayla right where she wanted her, on the verge of finishing off the woman and defeating her again. However Kayla managed to free herself and Ryuko was on the back foot struggling to figure out what went wrong! In this moment of confusion Kayla had taken the initiative back from the thunder empress allowing her to strike back in whatever way she saw fit. This was not at all the position Ryuko thought she would be in, having been confident that she was about to muscle buster Kayla into a 3 count.

A minute ago, all of Ryuko's fans had been cheering on her, eager to see her finish the job and put her upstart of an opponent in her place. As she got Kayla into position for the muscle buster, it looked like her victory was imminent, in much the same fashion she had taken out her challenger before. But then, Kayla managed to get her arms down under her and get a hold on Ryuko - and that was all the leverage she needed to get her off her feet, rolling her down to the mat!

At once, the voice of the crowd experienced a sudden shift. Now, all the cheers were for Kayla, as the Californian girl looked as though she was on her way to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat! As Kayla looked up from where she landed, on her back beside Ryuko, she smiled, feeling the confidence rising in her. If she could win this, she'd prove herself, both as the capable wrestler she was trying to demonstrate herself to be and as a rising star capable of standing up to the best opponents around. Her heart was pounding in her chest just thinking about it!

If she wanted to turn things around, Kayla knew she'd have to act fast. Luckily, Ryuko was still recovering from the upset, giving Kayla a chance to seize control. Rolling herself into place on the mat, she threw her legs around Ryuko's head and went to clamp down the pressure with her thighs, attempting to lock the Thunder Empress in a headscissor!

Thunder Ryuko was down and in shock, wondering how she got there. she groaned and was about to sit up when Kayla wrapped her legs around Ryuko's head! "ACK!" Ryuko shouted as she kicked the mat frantically while reaching her arms up, clawing at Kayla's legs trying to free herself! Ryuko grabbed and tugged, trying to loosen up the grip while she kept kicking. Ryuko's face was red and she began punching at Kaylas legs to hurt them before tugging again to try to get herself enough breathing room to hopefully slip here.

Kayla knew that Ryuko was going to fight back. In as heated a match as this one was, there was no doubt that the veteran would go at any means to keep Kayla from claiming victory. All Kayla knew was that no matter what happened, she would need to hold on! She held tighter to Ryuko's head, her thighs squeezing against her temples as she bit her lip and tensed her muscles to remain firm. It wasn't easy, and Ryuko kicked and bucked, each motion threatening to break Kayla's grip. But she knew she had to hold on! This was one match Kayla couldn't afford to concede anything in!

Even as Ryuko clawed and punched at her legs, she did her best to steady herself. Her eyes narrowed in focus, and she groaned under her breath, determined to remain firm. She had to keep this up as long as she could, to wring every bit of air out of Ryuko and to withstand her resistance no matter how hard she fought. Eventually, though, Kayla could hold on no longer, and she was forced to release the Thunder Empress, rolling herself back to put the distance between them.

Getting to her feet, Kayla panted for air. She reached down and rubbed at her sore legs, which were showing the bruises from where Ryuko's fists had struck. Even now, though, she couldn't concede to the woman who had become her rival. Raising her arm, Kayla charged back toward her opponent, looking to hit her with a clothesline as soon as she was getting up!

Ryuko was free, gasping for breath as she staggered up. However the Japanese powerhouse would be humbled as she was not yet upright and Kayla took her down with a clothesline! "Auuugh!" Ryuko groaned as she kicked the mat, rubbing her chest as she sat up.

Kayla would wait for Ryuko to get back up, but only insofar as it allowed her to set up her next move. She knew what it felt like to be at the Thunder Empress's mercy, and it wasn't anything she was keen on letting happen again. She had only narrowly managed to escape from Ryuko's assault a moment before, and she was well aware that if she was a moment too late the muscle buster would have flattened her. If she wanted to stand up to Ryuko, she would need to keep the pressure on her and not let up; any break in the action was one that could be turned against her.

By the time Ryuko had centered herself, Kayla was already in motion. Crying out with a roar, she flung herself into her opponent to strike her upside the chest, sending her straight back down! The sight of Kayla retaking control caused a few cheers to ring out from the crowd, and she turned her head toward the stands with a smile. No matter what happened, she still had a chance to turn this all around!

She looked back at Ryuko, watching as she rose to a seated position. Kayla bit her lip, her eyes narrowed into a glare. She couldn't let her get back up on her watch! Running in closer, Kayla would attempt to jump up onto Ryuko's knee as she brought it up, hoping to use the boost to throw a kick into her skull for a Shining Wizard! It was a risky move, but Kayla was running high on adrenaline, and she was determined to keep Ryuko down!
