Monaka vs. Mika Matsuda - Brawlin' Cuties

Monaka successfully threw Mika over her head with a vertical suplex, and the boxer was left spread eagle on the canvas, presumably too weakened to even get up. Smirking, she would look down on her opponent. "See the difference between us, rookie? Don't say I didn't warn you," she taunted before she bent down, grabbing Mika by her arm, looking to drag her closer towards the nearest corner in preparation for an explosive end.

"Alright, time to end this..." Monaka said as she would then slip out of the ropes before climbing onto the turnbuckle. She would face away from her opponent. After keeping track on where Mika was, she would then try to leap up into the air, hoping to make use of her light weight to perform a corkscrew in midair as she flipped, planning to land onto her opponent with her finisher, a corkscrew moonsault, also known as Silver Arrow!

Mika winced as Monaka rubs salt in the wound with her words. She couldn't even muster a comeback. She was good. And, short of keeping her at bay, she hadn't really developed much of a defense against her style.

She feels her arm being grabbed, and sliiides across the canvas as Monaka tugs on her arm to drag her closer to a corner. What... what was she doing?

She turns her head, watching her climb out from the ropes. For a second, she thought maybe she was leaving the ring, but then she watches her climb on top of the post. What was she doing??

She could hear the crowd starting to cheer, and cameras flashing. Wait... was she planning to-?!

Her question was answered before she could even ask it. She watches as she leaps gracefully up in the air, and twists her body. If she got hit with her body like that, it would be over for sure! But her body was too tired to move!

An idea popped into her head as Monaka was coming down on top of her, and she raises her knees up, curling her body to prevent a full impact down on her, and makes it so that Monaka comes crashing down on her knees instead!

Monaka was thinking about ending this match with her spectacular Silver Arrow, performing a corkscrew moonsault in the air before landing on top of Mika's body, taking whatever left in her before finally seizing the win. But, what she didn't expect was for Mika to bring her knees up, and Monaka was unable to change her trajectory in midair. As a result, she ended up landing right onto Mika's knee instead of landing on top of her with a splash.

"GUGHHH!!!"

Feeling Mika's knees digging into her abs, wind was knocked out of her lungs, and she ended up flopping onto the mat, gasping for air as she clutched onto her wounded belly. She looked like a beached fish as she struggled to breathe, and she lost her momentum thanks to Mika's sudden action. She coughed and gasped for air, unable to do anything at the moment.

"Gouhhhh... *cough* *cough*... merghhhh..."

Mika was surprised by how effective the simple counter was. Monaka crashes down onto her knees, and she watches her flop back, holding her belly. Now was the time to fight back!

"Gh... that's... for dropping your knees in my gut!" She says, trying to force herself to sit up. She felt weary, still feeling the effects of Monaka's slams and blows, but she had to push on.

She starts to get her feet under her, and reaches for Monaka's shoulder with one glove. She tries to pull her up to her feet while she tries to get to her feet as well.

"Get.... up..." She says between pants while trying to rise to her own feet.

Monaka was left breathless after landing onto Mika's knees belly first. Having trouble breathing, she was unable to stop Mika from grabbing her before she was pulled back up as her opponent got back up onto her feet.

"Hnnghhh..." Monaka struggled to breathe as she looked at her opponent's face. Due to her condition, she was unable to focus on her opponent, leaving herself unable to attack and unable to defend against whatever her opponent would try to throw at her next.

Mika shuffled one step back. She was about ready to unleash a flurry of jabs on her dizzy opponent. Before she flicked out her first jab, however, she stops. Part of the reason for being here was to learn new things. She wasn't going to get any better if she didn't step out of her comfort zone. Still, she hadn't learned a whole lot. She goes for what would likely work.

She steps in, and grabs her around the waist. Her movements are hesitant and awkward, but she gets her arms around Monaka's waist, then hoists her up off her feet, and turns around and tries to fall on top of her while throwing Monaka onto her back "T-taaake this!!" She says as she lifts her and spins and slams her on her back.

Monaka was pulled back up onto her feet by her opponent, who prepared herself to launch her attack. Monaka was in no shape to defend herself, and as a result, Mika managed to close in and wrapped her arms around her waist. Still too winded to even do anything, Monaka couldn't stop Mika from trying to lift her up, spinning around before slamming her down into the mat.

"AWGHH!!!"

Monaka was left dazed on the mat, pain spreading all over her body. Her brow scrunched up as she endured the pain, and on the mat, she was in no shape to get herself back up, leaving herself an easy target for Mika.

Mika was honestly a little surprised how well the move worked. It seemed like it did a number on Monaka. Now she was laying on top of her. So... she should pin her now, right? To pin, she needed to lift her leg by the thigh...

She's a bit hesitant, biting her bottom lip subtly before reaching down with one arm, and hooks her leg up while the ref goes for the pin count.

"1!"

Monaka was left dazed on the mat with Mika on top of her. Then, she could feel her opponent trying to go for a pinfall attempt as her leg was then lifted before she heard the voice of the referee counting for the pin.

"TWO!"

Grunting, Monaka would try to muster her strength to kick out, and before the referee could bring her palm for the third and final count, the pinkette would buck her feet, kicking out of the pin.

"THR-!"

And with that near fall, the match would still continue. Grunting in pain, Monaka would try to push Mika off of her so that she could regain her composure and bearing in order to get back into the match.

Mika's watches as the referee counts. She's surprised when Monaka doesn't move at first. All she needed was three seconds, right?

Her smile grew bigger as she slapped it down for the two count. Just one more count! This would be it!

She then feels Monaka forcing a shoulder up right before she slapped the three. She looked confused for a second, because it was so close. Did she win? She didn't hear a bell, so, she had to guess the fight was still on. She felt a little disappointed, but then Monaka gives her a shove off her body.

"Uff!" She falls off the side, landing on her side, and tries to roll away before trying to get back on her feet. "Nh... couldn't you.. have just stayed down for a second longer?" She asked, sounding disappointed.
