Daniel Haines vs Gloria Star — Standard Match (No Submissions)

Gloria kept an eye focused on Danny as she got to her feet. The blonde knew Daniel full well to know how much of a beating the boy could take. Due to that as Gloria climbed up, there was constant thought she had in the back of her mind circulating that Danny might have just enough strength to grab her by the ankle and dragging her back down. Sure, it might not happen, but the blonde superhero had to make sure that didn't come to pass. Fortunately for her whenever she took a glance back at her cousin, he tried to get back up but would always succumb to the pain going on for him to fall back down to the canvas. "Phew.... Well, that's one less thing I got to worry about in this match..." Gloria sighing out in relief to herself as now that Danny was not a threat to stopping her, she knew she could climb over that barricade and take a much needed rest to recover.

Gloria pulled herself up until finally after what felt like climbing a mountain the American superhero finally in a full standing position as the crowd cheered. "Heh.... they think I just won a fight against a villain...while I know... this is far from over..." Glora thought to herself as she looked at the audience, waving one arm in the air back at them putting on a brave smile to for reassurance as any classic superhero would. Still even if Gloria got up first her body was still sore and needed time to recover. She took a glance down at Daniel, seeing he still needed time to recover. "Well Daniel, it seems we both earned a well earned time out, after that encounter." Gloria chuckled shakily as while she could go for a big slam, if Danny managed to counter, it could mean lights out for Gloria, she couldn't take any risks with how far she come in this bout and needed time to let her body rest. So without a moment passing, Gloria pressed a side of her body on the barricade and skid over it getting on the other side back into the outside of the ring before walking over slowly still aching from the experience before rolling back to the ring. The audience was confused by what Gloria was doing at first until the superhero pressed on walking over to the ropes and draping both arms along the side for support while also having full view of where Danny might come from. "Alright Danny.... when you ready.... come at me..." Gloria muttered almost excited at the prospect of her and Daniel going blow for blow in their warn out states of being as if they were true gladiators back in the day. Now all eyes were on Daniel to see if he could get up as Gloria stood there smirking as she continued to regain any energy she could get as she readied herself for whatever would happen next.

Danny got up and was still struggling to see straight. He hadn't been attacked or stomped so he wasn't sure where Gloria was but he was confused as he saw her back in the ring standing there. He was also on the verge of being counted out so he stumbled as quickly as he could over the barricade, falling as he flopped to the other side before hobbling to the ring. Apparently she was so confident she felt like she could just wait in there for him to be counted out and didn't need to properly capitalize on the miscue that had left him still dazed unable to fully see straight even to this point.

He slid back into the ring trying to rise to his feet and rush right at her looking to extend his arm and rush at her with a ig lariat! He had to get back in the fight quick otherwise he was done for although given how his head was feeling? He may already be too far in the hole to climb out.

Gloria settled herself back into the ring with her arms draped along the ropes eagerly tapping her foot in anticipation for her cousin to remerge onto the scene. She could've attacked Daniel while he was done but refused, to Gloria she had to know if Daniel the man she could never beat could rise to the same challenge she herself did and climb out of that hole they were born just in. As she watched Daniel try and fail at first to get back in Gloria leaned her head forward with her eyes entranced by him. "Come on.... Daniel.... get up..." She said to herself as if it were a silent prayer in the back of her head as she tapped her foot faster and faster.

Once Daniel got rose to his feet and got back to the ring, getting closer and closer, Gloria couldn't help but grin as this was the true fight she wanted. Two cousins pulling out all the stops to truly see who is the better of the two, and that alone made the American superhero grin ear to ear as she pulled her arms off the ropes, rolling her shoulders out, even with her chest heaving, she was ready for more action!

Now that the two cousins were back in the ring, it seemed they both had the same idea. "ORAAAAAAH!!!" Gloria bellowed out a war cry as much like her cousin that stood in front of her, she too went charging at him extending her arm out for a big lariat! If both cousins collided then surely both would be knocked to the floor!

Dans head was throbbing, still leaving him in a haze. As he rushed in he had been going full speed and wasn't going to slow or change course. He was going to hit Gloria as hard as he could looking to smash into her as hard as she could! Danny smashed into Gloria as she crashed into him. He wasn't sure what happened to her but he took the hit and felt the impact falling down to the mat onto his back.

Gloria was running as fast as she could not slowing down for even a second as both cousins got ever so closure and closer to each other about to ram into the other. The audience was also on the edge of their seats as it seemed both would connect at the same time. That didn't matter to Gloria, her blood was bumping, her biceps bulking, her eyes were like wildfire, all that mattered was knocking Danny down even if she was knocked down in the process! Gloria charged onward still gritting her teeth until both cousins smashed into each other dead set in the ring! "GAAAAAAAH!!!" Gloria spat out as Danny's arm collied with her stomach the same time her arm collied with his, it folded the superhero in half before stumbling backwards trying to keep a hold of her balance before falling back from it as both her and Danny hit the floor at the same time! BOOOM

A loud thud was heard as both heavyweights hit the canvas at the same time as the crowd stood up from their seats trying to get a good look at who would get up first if it was even possible for them to stand at this point. Gloria was clearly out of it as she laid down with her arms and legs spread eagle across the canvas, with her body throbbing in pain. Her head was aching, her shoulders stiff and sore and her chest heaving in and out trying to breathe. "Uh....Huh....uhhh...hah..." Gloria wheezed out as she pulled her head up against her better judgement groaning throughout the entire process and saw her own cousin in the same bad predicament as she was before her head fell back against the canvas of the ring. "It feels like, we're evenly matched.... if I can just get up.... maybe... I can... seal...the deal..." Gloria thought to herself wincing her eyes in pain as she tried to push herself up but her body was still too sore for her to make any proper movement. Instead it seemed, both cousins had no choice but to lay down in pain once again before they could make a move.

Danny was looking up at the lights and groaning trying to shake off the clothesline. He had his bell rung though and was in a haze as he rolled side to side. He was out of it and not sure how badly off Gloria was. Danny at least knew she wasn't keeping up on the attack so that was something. He tried rising only to fall back down to the mat.

He took a few deep breaths and slowly started getting up again. He was on his hands and knees, pushing up and staggering, swaying as he rose stumbling to the ropes but he managed to stay up! He turned and looked trying to see how far along Gloria was in her rise...

Gloria was still left lying on the mat with her body aching in pain from the blow to her chest she received only a few moments ago! Much like her cousin, Gloria was staring up at the light trying to clear her mind and focus. "I.... came so far..... and yet here I am laying on the mat struggling to stand up. Is it possible.... no matter how hard I try...... Daniel is.... my white whale....?" Gloria despairingly thought to herself as it felt like no matter how hard she fought, Danny would always find a way to swing back just hard as she did. It felt as if the world was trying to tell her that she couldn't beat her damn cousin even after all of those years around the world that brought her to this match.

Gloria balled her hand into a fist and smacked it against the mat in frustration starting to grit her teeth as her eyes shot up like daggers into the ceiling. "I know I said this a lot tonight but no! I can't lose! NOT WHEN I'M SO CLOSE!!!" Gloria said to herself trying to push whatever doubt she had to the back of her mind. If she was still conscious, she could still fight in her eyes. Until she was knocked out, she won't stop fighting even if it would push her body beyond it's limit, she could care less of the consequences from this later in life as all that mattered was the here and now, even if every part of her body was sore, she'll keep fighting until she wins like a true superhero! "Eeeeeeeeeee YAAAAAAAA!!!!" Gloria bellowed out in pain as she began to push herself up to a squatting as she threw her head back in pain yelling out her screams of anguish. Once she was done she pulled her head forward and forcing her eyes open to see that Daniel was hanging on to the ropes for support. "Damn it.... he's already up...." Gloria tsked to herself as now Daniel had the high ground and as such would be in a more favorable position. "I guess I got no choice...." Gloria let out a sigh as she let out a deep breath trying to relax her body before she made a move she knew was going to be risky but it was her only option!

She readjusted her position back to focusing on Daniel before aiming to reach out and grab the ropes trying to keep her focus on her cousin in case he tried something. "If your waiting for me Daniel that's fine, after all it wouldn't look good to hit a lady while her back is turned ya know?" She chuckled at her own joke as she began the climb up, and much her cousin it was a bit tricky as she also swayed back and forth trying to climb until she finally reached the top leaning heavily on it for support as she looked backed at her cousin. "So what now? We fight until one of us loses their lifeline or are we just gonna gawk at each other till they call time?" She added giving her causal quippy remarks as she positioned her feet to be on the mat steadily incase she had to move in or dodge from an upcoming attack.

Dan watched Gloria rise and stayed silent as she spoke. He didn't have time for talk right now. He needed to win this. He had been around for years as a trainer and then as a wrestler as he attempted to learn, building up his record. It took that long to get a PPV spot and he knew if he blew it now it would be years before he was on a PPV or major card again.

As Gloria got up he moved in but cautiously. He was stepping up and reaching out attempting to grapple with her. As soon as he got hold he was going to try to wrap his arms around Gloria and lift her up spinning before planing her to the mat with a belly to belly suplex. Nothing fancy, nothing crazy. Just an impactful move to help him get control and start building momentum provided everything went right.

Gloria stood there patiently waiting for Danny to show any signs of movement to try and get an idea of what her cousin was planning. She respected the fact Daniel gave her the chance to rise as if he was paying her back for giving him the chance to get back into the ring earlier, but even so Gloria knew her cousin was plotting something with his subtle foot steps getting closer to her. Once he was close enough, she saw him trying to reach out looking for a test of strength. "Oh? So that's how you wanna go!?" Gloria snickered as she perked up with excitement as she reached out aiming to grapple with her cousin as if it were for the final time in this bout.

As soon as they interlocked, they're fingers with each other, Gloria did everything she could to push Danny back into a corner. She gritted her teeth as even though both competitors took a lot of punishment, both still had some left in the tank as Gloria leaned forward trying to hold her ground. Now everything was happening too fast for Gloria as she was now being pulled in against her will to Danny, even as she tried to press her heels against the canvas to stop it, she couldn't fight back as she was dragged in now gritting her teeth in disappointment trying to shake Danny off but to no avail as she felt Danny's arms wrapping around her tightly as she was hauled into the air! "WOAH!" She gasped alongside the audience who were impressed by Daniel's strength, only to then have Gloria be spun around in a circle!!! Gloria bellowed out a light scream as she began to grow dizzy from it with now it finally reaching to a screeching holt as Gloria still in the air tried to catch her breath before being slammed down from cutting through the air! "WOA-OMMMMMPFFF!!!" She bellowed out as her back collied with the canvas letting out a big thud as a result. "Damn....it..." Gloria coughed trying to make sense of everything as once again she was left heaving her chest in out but she wouldn't just lay down there and take it. When Gloria and Danny locked up they were right by the ropes and thankfully that remained too with their current predicament as the ropes were hanging right above Gloria's head. "I...gotta...try..." She groaned as she went to lift up one of her heavy arms trying to reach the bottom rope and take hold of it incase Danniel tried anything like a pinfall or a follow up attack.

Danny sent Gloria crashing to the mat and managed to get himself back up to his feet. She was reaching out for the bottom rope and trying to rise to her feet and he knew he had to pile on. He couldn't let up right now. He grabbed at her ankles and pulled her away from the ropes, keeping hold of one ankle as he knelt down. He was trying to not only get her away from the ropes but to put her in an ankle lock so he could try to keep sapping her dry while he himself got a small chance to recover!
