Luck of the Irish: Freya vs Peggy

Gritting her teeth Freya was being out paced and out classed by the quicker wrestler. Every time she did something Peggy would be two steps ahead of her and able to counter her power with ease. As she is again lifted off her feet and slammed into the mat with a release German, her body folded as she let's out a small groan before rolling onto her side.

Slowly getting to her feet before stopping hearing the words that Peggy just said out of her her mouth.... "...What did you just call me...? enraged at being called a dumb gym rat as she slams her fists into the canvas to psych herself back up. Getting into a really old classic wrestling position with her left arm forward and her right low and ready to grapple in needed.

"I show you a dumb untrained gym rat.. instead of charging she starts to edge her way forward again. But this time it is more in a style that the classic older wrestlers used to do when taking on smaller opponents. Reaching out to grab Peggy to grapple her.

Peggy saw that she got under Freya's skin and this could work to her advantage. As Freya reached in to grapple Peggy would swing her leg up for a fast toe-kick to the abdomen before grabbing hold of Freya! She rolled backward keeping her wrapped up and folded over in a small package pin position! Peggy liked the small package since it was secure and the position made it very difficult for power wrestlers to just outright burst out! Peggy herself was on the stronger side of the power spectrum for physical strength although Freya much stronger than her. Peggy hoped the kick, surprise and secure pin would last her to a 3 count!

The referee saw this and rushed in beginning to count as Freya was pinned.

"ONE!"

"TWO!"

Freya was not able to kick out of the small package hold. She started to strain trying to get the smaller woman off but due to Peggy own strength was able to keep her down for the three and victory.

The ref rising Peggy hand up in victory quickly leaves the ring due to the look on the beaten heavyweight face. Running her hand through her hair Freya sighs and makes her way over to Peggy and holds her fist out for a fist bump. "Damn your slippery I guess I need to do more training if I want to keep up with you. Next time I slam you." she says with a big grin on her face before sliding out of the ring, leaving the spotlight for the winner of the match.

Peggy jumped up, having won a solo match for the first time in.... well, quite a while! Thankfully for her the big powerhouse got up and seemed to be in good spirits. Peggy smiled and gave her a nod and fist bump. "Lass once ya get technique behind that power you will be scary. All power without the technical aspect or in-ring know how though is tough against opponents with good gameplans." Peggy said pointing to her head.

Peggy soaked up cheers, another nice departure for once. She won clean and against someone favored to defeat her. It was a nice change of pace and perhaps the words of the crafty veteran to both her and Lauren were working?
