Amy Henderson vs Vamp Suzumori - Raising the Stakes

"ARRRRGGHH!"

Amy's shoulder felt like an entire wildfire was burning through her shoulder. The pain was absolutely unbearable. Even with all the tenacity that the blonde had, this was really pushing her upper limits. Was she really going to be outdone, after all this time of being in the lead?

She smashed her free fist on the mat, trying to rally herself back.

"NO!" she cried as the ref asked her for resignation from the match.

The crowd pounded on the barricade to join her in the rallying attempt. The pain was strong, but Amy's determination was stronger.

Vamp was torquing her arm, but seemed to be more focused on drawing attention from the crowd. If Amy had a chance to turn this back into her control, now was the chance.

She swept her foot backwards, hoping to sweep the vampire girl off of her feet, and stop the attack on her arm and shoulder!

Vamp laughed as she torqued Amy's arm, hoping to weaken her opponent more while getting the crowd to pour out their heat on her. This prevented her from seeing what her opponent was about to do next. Amy went to sweep her off her feet with her leg, and Vamp was unable to see it coming.

"WAAHHH!!"

She ended up releasing Amy's arm as she fell down, crashing back first onto the mat. Grimacing, she would try to roll herself over to her side, exposing herself to any of the counterattack that Amy would try to do. She was hoping that her move earlier would prevented her opponent from doing anything.

Somehow, her desperation move worked, both sweeping her foe off of her feet, and getting her to release the hold. But the damage had long since been done. Her shoulder was severely messed up. Amy was actually starting to lose confidence on if she had a chance to win this match now. It was a rare feeling for her, but things were looking bleak. The blonde wasn't even sure if she could execute any of her finishers anymore.

Rolling away to the ropes, she grabbed onto them with her good arm and pulled herself back up to her feet. She couldn't counter attack due to her condition, and after clutching her shoulder, she wasn't sure she would be on the offense again this match.

It seemed that thanks to the vicious move from Vamp earlier, Amy was unable to take advantage of Vamp being taken down. So, Vamp would push herself up, first on all four before getting herself back up onto her feet. She looked at the direction of Amy, who had rolled away from her towards the ropes to pull herself up. Smirking, thinking that Amy seemed to be severely weakened thanks to her Sacrificial Maiden earlier, Vamp decided to approach her.

"Well, well... will you look at that?" Vamp said in a taunting manner. "It would be much better for you to stay down and let yourself be beaten, you know?" She said, maintaining a distance between herself and Amy. For the time being, she didn't make any effort to attack as she stood with her hands on her hips, waiting to see what the clearly hurting Amy would try to do next, with her shoulder still affected by her vicious move earlier. The crowd booed the petite vampire, and she seemed to relish in their displeasure and disapproval.

The blonde returned to her feet, trying to move and stretch her shoulder out as much as she could. Is it dislocated? she wondered.

Vamp was seemingly content with badmouthing the girl with the injured shoulder, and at first, she was just willing to take it. Maybe the Vampire girl was right? In an uncharacteristic level of self-doubt, Amy was beginning to consider resignation. Perhaps she was doomed to be a loser here in LAW, forever?

But that's when she heard it. The badmouthing of a certain swindler of good and services. It was all in her head, of course, but she could hear it loud and clear. That's right, no one could possibly be more of an asshole than Junko! And she beat her! She couldn't let herself get so down like this. She remembered who she was.

Standing back up straight, she let go of her shoulder and moved it around some more. It still hurt like absolute hell, but she needed to fake a recovery here. Maybe the bluff would work, maybe not. But it was worth a try.

She walked over to Vamp, who was content to just verbally abuse Amy for the time being. As soon as she got in range, she got into a grappling stance, as if to invite her foe to join her in a grapple, and show off that her should was 'fine.'

"You spend quite a lot of time running that mouth of yours. But the way I see it, the impact you make with those words will only last about as long as the pain in my shoulder did." She emphasized the past tense of that sentence, to make sure Vamp got the message.

Naturally, she hoped that the vampire girl would fall for the bluff by locking up with her, and that Amy would use her good shoulder to then throw the girl up and over onto the mat with a sort of takedown.

Vamp narrowed her eyes when she heard Amy's words. Seeing her acting so resolute after suffering such a damage was unthinkable. The petite vampire couldn't believe the gall of her, still willing to stand defiant before her, the Nightmare Princess, after it was made clear that it was better for her to stop fighting.

"Tch! Seems like I need to break you more for you to understand. Don't say I didn't warn you, fool." She chastised Amy as she would ready herself to grapple with her. She knew that her opponent was still suffering from the Sacrificial Maiden earlier, and she would make sure to take advantage of this. So, she was planning to target her hurt side in order to press her advantage.

Seeing that Amy was eager for a lock up, Vamp decided to entertain her as she would rush over to her, looking to lock up with her in a grapple. But what she didn't expect was her suddenly being hoisted up. It seemed that Amy was using her good shoulder to lift her up before throwing her down into the mat. "UWAHH!!" Vamp cried out as she hit the mat with her back, grimacing.

Seemingly, the bluff worked like a charm! Vamp went in for the grapple, and Amy managed to spring her trap and launch the dark-haired girl onto the canvas. Amy had no idea whether or not her opponent truly believed she had no pain, but what was important now was that she managed to do what she set out to do. Maybe she still had a chance in this match after all.

The threat that her foe made was something she needed to keep in mind, of course.

But she wasn't letting up with just a shoulder toss. She immediately would follow up with a leg-drop to Vamp's neck, looking to get a clean hit on the stunned girl's airway. Should she be successful, she would try to bend over and grab the dark-haired girl's leg and go for a another pin!

Vamp remained on the mat, eyes widening in disbelief. She couldn't believe that she was fooled by her opponent. She couldn't immediately register the fact even as she remained on the mat, which allowed Amy to continue with her momentum despite her hurting shoulder.

So, while Vamp was still on the mat, Amy went for a leg drop, hitting her straight at her neck. "HAAKGHH!!!" Her mouth was wide open as she took the hit, and the pain left her momentarily stunned and paralyzed.

From there, Amy went for the pin, grabbing one of her legs, and the referee came over and started counting. For a moment, Vamp didn't realize that she was being pinned before she heard the referee slapping her palm on the mat and counting.

"ONE!"

"TWO!"

But before the referee could finish the count, Vamp would buck her legs, breaking the pin. She was still having difficulty to breathe, but she wasn't done yet. Despite kicking out, she was still on the mat, unable to push herself back up.

Two counts sounded off, but Vamp made sure there was not a third. Amy keeled over to the side for a moment after the pin was broken up, trying desperately hard not to show how much pain her shoulder was in. While Vamp was looking to be struggling to make it to her feet, Amy pulled herself together and crawled over to her foe. She would push the vampire girl onto her front (if she wasn't there already), and use her good arm she send a clubbing blow into her foe's back.

She would do that a couple of times in total, hoping to both weaken her opponent, and discretely let out some frustrations in the process. She wasn't sure if the latter goal would really be achievable.

But Amy knew that she couldn't keep doing this for much longer. As it was, she was already pretty exhausted from the match. It would only be a matter of time before she ran out of gas all together. And the ever-present shoulder pain wasn't helping matters in the slightest. She needed to finish the dark-haired girl off. But the question was, how?

She attempted to grab Vamp by the armpits and neck and pull her back up to her feet. However, she would find the task to be quite a struggle, giving her foe a chance to counter attack, if she was able.

Still on the mat, Vamp struggled to recover, but Amy wasn't stopping as she went to get Vamp onto her front before the petite vampire took a few blows to her back.

"AAGKHH!! AAGHHH!!"

The pain from those blows left Vamp a little winded, which allowed Amy to pull her back up. Still, she wasn't going to let her opponent do whatever she wanted as she tried to lash out at her, swinging her arm at her, hoping to at least deal some hit on her body.
