Black Diamond vs. The SoCal Connection

"I can see what I am doing," answered Cheyenne as she squeezed her lightweight opponent against her body! She crushed her ribs and her waist, focusing on hurting her spine even more as she struggled against her.

"Break her, Chey!" yelled out Deanna encouragingly, giving a flirty wave to Ashley over Black Rock's shoulder.

Cheyenne would then shake Ash in her grasp, trying to thrash the redhead a bit until she felt the kicking and a hair, potentially lucky kick managed to hit the Native American right in the kneecap! With a grunt of pain, Cheyenne grip began to falter, allowing the opportunity for Ashley to escape were she to push herself enough!

Deanna may have waved at Ashley, but the redhead didn't show much of a response. She was far too busy trying not to have her ribs and spine turned to dust, as she struggled hopelessly in Cheyenne's grip. Her teeth were clenched and she groaned in pain, feeling like she could burst at any moment. When she began kicking at Cheyenne's leg, that was her lasp gasp of resistance to try and save herself.

By good fortune, however, one of those kicks met their mark! With a crack, Ashley's boot connected with Cheyenne's knee, and she felt the heavyweight start to ease up on the pressure as the pain went through her body. It might have been just a little, but a little was something, and Ashley needed anything she could get! With a jerk of her body, she tried to force herself out of Cheyenne's grasp. As Ash's feet touched down on the canvas, she shuddered, struggling to hold up her own weight when her body was still wracked with pain. But she clenched her teeth and looked behind her as she balled a fist.

Ashley knew that, if let to her own devices, Cheyenne would crush her. She would have to throw something her way to slow her down and strike back if she wanted to salvage this. She teetered on unsteady legs, leaning forward and rubbing at her thigh to try and dull the soreness, but she kicked her knee up, aiming to strike it into Cheyenne's stomach in the hopes of getting her to bend over so as to better facilitate her next move. If that worked, Ash would run to the ropes, hoping they would provide her with the momentum her weary body needed to run forward and leap out at Cheyenne. Withe the Chieftess bent to a more reasonable level, Ash aimed at grabbing her head and bulldogging her into the canvas.

Ashley had fallen to the mat, slipping out of Cheyenne might grasp. The Native American would then take the moment to grasp at her hurt knee, having taken abuse, before she was nailed with a knee to the midsection! The biggest girl in the match would then double over with a quiet grunt before her head was grabbed by Ashley and planted to the mat with a bulldog! Black Rock flopped to the mat, stunned for the moment.

Deanna looked a bit surprised in her corner and then slapped the top turnbuckle pad repeatedly and shouted, "Hey, Chey! Get up girl! Smash the redhead!" In response, Cheyenne could only start to bring herself back up to her feet while unknowing of what her smaller opponent may try next.

Going down to the mat, with Cheyenne dragged down with her, Ashley felt her heart quicken in her chest. She could hardly believe it herself, when faced with everything she, and her team, had struggled with up to this point. Cheyenne had pushed the two of them around like it was nothing, resisting all their attempts at keeping her down and delivering crushing blow after crushing blow, to both Ash and Kayla. Yet now, she had managed to catch her off-guard, and for however brief a moment it was, Cheyenne was at her mercy. Ash's ribs were still burning, but she knew she couldn't waste it!

Rolling up onto Cheyenne's back, Ashley reached for her chin, going to pull back on her head as she moved into a camel clutch. Her teeth clenched, and the veins in her neck bulged, as she put all the strength she could muster into this. "Come on, come on..."

Cheyenne still laid on the mat, dazed from the swift bulldog that had taken her down by the smaller girl. Deanna could see Ashley already starting to follow up on the maneuver and began to bounce on the ropes in her corner and shouted, "CHEY! You need to get up babe!" It didn't do much for Cheyenne who was suddenly grabbed around her chin and her body straddled. With a loud grunt of pain, followed by groans, the Native American grabbed at Ashley's hands with her own hand, trying to pull her off to no avail!

With a muted yell, Black Rock was being yanked on rather harshly, her neck being stretched beyond its limit as the redhead put her all into the hold. Cheyenne knew she couldn't just allow it though. She had to do something. Without proper leverage, she couldn't pull Ashley off of her. But she could use her other muscles. Slowly, Cheyenne would start to push herself off the mat. And then, she felt the weight on her back from Ashley, and she began to sit up even more until she gradually got up into a standing position, trying to ease off her foe's grip! Cheyenne would yell out in pain, trying to reach back at Ashley to get her off of her, doing whatever she could to stop the smaller girl's assault!

Ash was consumed with focus, concentrating all her attention on ensuring she had this hold sunken in and working for as long as she could. Against a foe as large and imposing as Cheyenne, she needed something to turn the odds in her favor, and she feared that if she took her focus off of it for just a moment, Cheyenne would make her pay for it. However, Deanna's taunts would nevertheless reach her ears - and Ashley was hardly thrilled about them. Looking up at the white-haired girl, Ash narrowed her eyes and clenched her teeth. "She's not going anywhere!"

Even as Cheyenne tried to grab at her hands, Ash wouldn't let herself be moved. She only pulled back harder to try and compress her back while her legs clamped tightly around the heavyweight's waist, her brow furrowing and her face reddening as she bit down on her lip. Ashley's back arched, and she fought with all her might to apply as much pressure as she could.

Despite all this, Cheyenne would still find a way to get up. It was no secret she weighed a lot more than Ashley, and if she wanted to make herself budge, she was certainly able to do it. Ashley tried to hold on as best she could, clenching harder to Cheyenne's waist and neck to anchor herself as she straightened herself to her knees and then to her feet. Even as she shook, Ash was desperate to stay on.

"ASH! Get off of her, now!" Kayla called out from the sidelines. Ashley let go of Cheyenne's chin then, choosing to relinquish the hold before the Native could capitalize on their positions. She would, however, swing herself around to Cheyenne's front, where she would attempt to grab her head with her legs to bring her down with a tilt-a-whirl headscissors takedown.

Cheyenne Black Rock had managed to muscle her way to her feet with the California girl on her back, trying to tug at her still. Her body had been bent in pain, despite the girl trying it being much smaller than her. She attempted to reach back, trying to throw the girl off of her. A feat that might have been easier without the hold having been forced on her earlier.

And then, she felt Ashley release her hold and she began to swing around, using Cheyenne's arms as a fulcrum to wheel around before her legs wrapped around the Native American's head. And then right after, a Tilt-A-Whirl Headscissors Takedown had slammed Cheyenne face-first into the mat. Her body didn't move. She stayed unmoving on the mat, stunned from the impact!

Deanna threw her head back in a loud groan and then paced her side of the apron and shouted out, "Cheyenne, get UP babe! Tag me in and I'll dismantle this chick! Come on!" Duncan would then pound a hand on the top turnbuckle pad before reaching out for her partner. Meanwhile, Cheyenne would start to stir on the mat from Ashley's maneuver, not able to immediately act.

Rolling aside from Cheyenne as she landed on the mat, Ashley got to her knees, panting and wiping her brow. "Whew..." she muttered, still coming down from the tense struggle she had made to hold onto her opponent despite all odds. Her legs were still burning, the redhead having put all her energy into clinging to her foe against her resistance. So too she was aware how close she'd come to disaster; if Cheyenne had been able to capitalize on having Ash on her back, it surely would've been all over. But she had swung the heavyweight's head down into the canvas at the last minute - and now, the coast looked clear.

Through her gasps, Ash looked back to see Deanna was cheering for Cheyenne to tag her in. Even if she might not have been as readily frightening as her partner, Ashley still wasn't about to entertain the thought. She knew that her team wasn't faring too well, and with Cheyenne down, she now had her chance to end the match in their favor. She threw herself onto the Native's shoulders, trying to press them into the canvas, in the hopes the pin would be counted before anyone could intervene!

"One!"

Cheyenne Black Rock continued to lay there until she felt her bigger body be rolled over by the lightweight redhead. And then shortly after that, she felt herself being pinned to the mat.

"One!"

"T--"

Then, the Native American threw Ashley off of her with impressive force, heaving her away from her body. Cheyenne would then start to sit up, wincing and then shaking her head clear. Then she would turn and look at Ashley, only looking mildly annoyed at her opponent as she rolled onto her front, getting up to one knee and almost staring her down, waiting for her next move. And then, behind Ashley, she would hear Deanna yell out, "Rip her apart, Chey!" With a gleeful grin on her face, Duncan looked thrilled at what she had seen her partner do plenty of times--kicking out with authority, especially against a smaller girl.

For Ashley, time seemed to stand still, as she sat perched with her knees on Cheyenne's back, her hands propping herself up on the canvas as she leaned her weight forward to stabilze herself. The arena around her faded into the distance as she honed in on the referee counting at her side. Ash took in a few pants for breath, trying to collect herself. She heard the first count. Could this be it? Could she have done it? Would this all be over? Her heart pounded in her chest, the anticipation swelling within her.

But it wouldn't be enough, as Cheyenne bucked off the canvas - and with the discrepancies in weight between the two of them, all she needed to do was to bring herself up to send Ashley flying off her and across the ring. "WHOAH-!" the Californian exclaimed, coming to roll to a halt a distance away from Cheyenne.

After taking in a few deep breaths, Ash rose to her knees as well, watching as Cheyenne straightened herself. The Native American woman was staring her dead in the eye, with a glare that was enough to raise the hairs on the back of Ashley's neck. She gulped, wondering just what her next move would be; she didn't know what she could do against a foe like this! But it soon became apparent that Cheyenne was waiting for her, and she would have to make her move.

Slowly and tentatively, Ash began to creep closer to Cheyenne, raising her fists. She prepared herself to react to the slightest stimulus, be it to dodge or to block, while she contemplated how she could catch her opponent off guard. Kayla was watching just as tensely, as she leaned over the corner, biting anxiously at the corner of her lip for what might befall her partner next.
