Christina Open Challenge #1

Christina stirred slowly on the canvas, shifting onto her side with a pained groan. One hand pressed against her ribs while the other rubbed her forehead, still feeling the effects of the Thunderbird Splash.

“Ughh…”

Losing stung. Especially tonight.

This open challenge had been Christina’s chance to build momentum, prove herself, and maybe even climb those mythical L.A.W. rankings—assuming anyone could actually find the damn things.

Eventually her eyes focused on Alizeh standing above her with an offered hand.

Christina stared at it for a moment. Pride tempted her to get up herself, but after everything they had just put each other through, Alizeh had earned more respect than that.

“Hell of a way to answer an open challenge…”

Christina muttered with a tired chuckle.

She finally grabbed Alizeh’s hand and allowed herself to be pulled upright, noticeably favoring her battered leg. When Alizeh raised her arm alongside her own, Christina initially looked surprised before allowing it, giving the green-haired wrestler a small nod.

“Enjoy this one, Midori,”

Christina said, managing a competitive smirk despite the setback.

“Next time, I’m getting that win back.”

For now, though, Christina let Alizeh have her moment.

She had earned it.
