For the first few seconds, Megumi managed to secure the leglock on Tina, applying pressure on her legs with the figure four leglock, but then, the middleweight champion decided to roll herself and Megumi with her, reversing the pressure. Wincing from having her move reversed, Megumi gritted her teeth as she would be forced to quickly relinquish the hold, freeing Tina from the figure four leglock.
The first thing she would do after releasing Tina would be taking a few seconds to regather her thoughts and get herself some air to breathe in. After her taunt earlier, Tina had showed quite an improvement in her performance, but she would need more than that in order to take the Genius One down.

Re: Megumi Mutoh/Tina Armstrong - Meeting the Champion
Tina felt Megumi slip away right after she had reversed the submission back at her and Tina rose up to her feet shaking out her hurt leg. She didn't want to waste time or give her a chance to mount any more offense. Tina dashed right at her, trying to leap into the air and plant Megumi in the chest with a dropkick! It would put her back o the defensive and grant Tina a chance to try to really take control of the tempo of this match! She wanted to employ her mix of power, speed and strikes.... Anything she could do to keep Megumi on the receiving end of the offense!

Re: Megumi Mutoh/Tina Armstrong - Meeting the Champion
Seeing Tina coming to her, Megumi prepared herself. As soon as Tina leaped up to deliver the dropkick to her, the former Wrestle Angel would move aside, avoiding the dropkick. In retaliation, Megumi would try to perform a standing moonsault on the grounded Tina as soon as the current champion landed onto the canvas, hoping that the impact would weaken the younger girl.

Re: Megumi Mutoh/Tina Armstrong - Meeting the Champion
Tina jumped up and tried to kick Megumi but she missed! She hit the mat and was getting up to her feet when Megumi landed on top of her back! "Oomph!" Tina groaned as she hit the mat again. Thankfully she didn't take the hit on her abdomen. Still, it didn't feel good and Tina had Megumi on top of her. Tina tried to do her best to push Megumi off of her, truly feeling frustrated and aggravated at her inability to really hit Megumi with any sort of offense that stuck or had an impact on her.

Re: Megumi Mutoh/Tina Armstrong - Meeting the Champion
Despite hitting Tina with the moonsault, Megumi didn't hit her on her abdomen. Right after that, the current middleweight champion pushed her off of her, and Megumi responded by pulling Tina up with her, getting her back on her feet before she attempted to land a forearm smash right into her chest, looking to hurt her a little before she could come up with her next move.

Re: Megumi Mutoh/Tina Armstrong - Meeting the Champion
Tina was aching but aware as she was pulled back up to her feet by Megumi. She saw Megumi swinging and she stepped back, just out of range of the forearm smash! "Nice try!" Tina shouted as she tried to step back in at Megumi, leaping forward as she extended her own arm, trying to hit Megumi with as hard a clothesline as she could!
Megumi was proving to be a tough, smart foe. Not the kind to take lightly. Tina hadn't taken her lightly at all yet Megumi still put on an impressive show in the spar. Tina loved watching women like her, and facing women like her was proving to be quite the challenge for the champion even if it is just a spar!

Re: Megumi Mutoh/Tina Armstrong - Meeting the Champion
Megumi clicked her tongue when her forearm smash didn't connect, and it seemed that Tina was trying to retaliate with a clothesline. Seeing what the younger woman was trying to do, Megumi would duck under Tina's extended arm, avoiding the clothesline. She would then get behind Tina and try to push her towards the ropes as hard as she could so that she could return back to her.
Upon returning, Megumi planned to use a drop toe hold on Tina, tripping her down so that she could start trapping one of her legs between her thighs in preparation for an STF!

Re: Megumi Mutoh/Tina Armstrong - Meeting the Champion
Again, Tina failed to connect or even put a dent in Megumi. She found herself flying down to the mat and screaming out loud in agony as she was caught in a STF submission hold! She clawed and pulled at Megumi's grip trying desperately to free herself from the hold! This was not a good spot and Tina was feeling a mix of embarrassment and frustration as she seemingly was unable to take the fight to Megumi in any way. It was humiliating to say the least....

Re: Megumi Mutoh/Tina Armstrong - Meeting the Champion
Securing her hold around Tina's neck while applying pressure on her leg, Megumi got the younger woman locked in the STF, and she would make sure that the double-pronged attack would result in the current middleweight champion submit. Squeezing Tina's neck and wrenching her leg, Megumi would then speak to her.
"If you know what's good for you, you better submit..." Megumi gave Tina a friendly advice. The longer she was to be put in the STF, the more painful she would feel, and Megumi certainly didn't want Tina to suffer a crippling pain from this hold, not in a spar like this.

Re: Megumi Mutoh/Tina Armstrong - Meeting the Champion
The pain mounted, as did the sting of Megumi's words... not to mention the truth to her words. Tina was a young, headstrong, and proud wrestler. However, there were times words of advice from various sources did seep through her determined, thick skull. "Ngh.... alright. Ya got me this time...." Tina said, sounding resigned, defeated and somewhat embarrassed at her frankly terrible showing in the spar.
The tapped out. She felt relief from the hold being released, knowing it was just a spar and her title didn't go anywhere. However she felt like a bad champion and that she didn't represent the middleweight title as it deserved to be represented. She stayed down, looking at the mat for a few moments after being freed by Megumi too embarrassed to make eye contact with anyone at the moment.
