Midnight and the Angel - Karen Meadows vs Megumi Mutoh

Struggling to breathe and trying to recover while down Karen was hardly going to be springing to her feet after the series of hits she had taken, though by this point the match had to be winding down to something as Megumi was starting to grab her and pick her up. Trying to force her to her feet and then to grab under her and lift her up and over to set up for a body slam of some sort. A move like that after the collision with the body slam Karen would undoubtedly be feelin that for weeks.

"N-Noo!" Karen said attempting to wiggle and fight out of her grip as she was lifted up trying to slip her way free and get behind her, though on shaky legs. From there she would try and push Megumi forward into something to try and stop her in from continuing to use the outside to her advantage.

Megumi hissed when her attempt to body slam Karen into the floor failed as the black-haired woman slipped her way free and got behind her. Knowing that stopping her momentum would give Karen a chance to turn this match around, she would act fast by spinning around, attempting to smash Karen in her face with a spinning backfist!

"THREE!"

The referee had counted up to three as both wrestlers were still outside the ring. Megumi would need to act quick or else they would be counted out. Right after delivering the spinning backfist, the former Wrestle Angel would try to grab Karen by her head, looking to bring her head first into the apron, slamming her into the hard surface of the ring to stun her!

Slipping free from her grip Karen found herself on her feet if only for the moment, her first instinct was to try and push into her into to get her to back off but Megumi was fast enough to turn on her heels and catch her face with the sudden backhand to her face. Knocking her around and leaving her stunned for the brief moment as her head shot back and she staggered on her feet.

Pulled back in by the girl she was dragged towards the ring apron as Megumi clearly had no good intentions now and was trying to pay her back with a vengeance from earlier. Though Karen felt her own adrenaline running, refusing to let her play the victim a second time after those few devastating hits. Her hands came up and she attempted to catch the girls attempts to hit her before trying to drive an elbow back into her looking to get free here and try to turn things back around shortly afterwards.

As Megumi tried to smash Karen's face into the apron to deal some damage, the black-haired woman managed to stop her effort before she drove her elbow into her side, causing Megumi to hiss in pain. She would step back, distancing herself from Karen in order to tend on her aching side. Her momentum had stopped for now, and things had gone to square one at the moment.

"FIVE!"

Knowing that staying idle would do nothing, Megumi would try to close in, looking to smash her forearm right into Karen's chest, hoping to stun her and deal some damage so that she could follow up with a more devastating attack after this.

The fight had boiled down to more a brawl as both girls were trying to get the advantage and set the pace for the rest of the match. Though at this rate she couldn't quite keep up this aggressive pace without a break and with the countdown winding in the background Karen knew that something had to give. At the halfway mark Megumi tried to close in and nailed her chest with a forearm that seemed to send a shock if pain through her as she coughed and backed up.

"Ugghk.." The girl weakly coughed before she tried to throw her foot up and attempt to send her boot into Megumi's gut looking to stop her efforts completely and in a way she really couldn't do with her fists at this point.

Nailing her forearm into Karen's chest, Megumi was looking to follow up with another attack when she took Karen's boot into her belly. "Huughh!!" She gasped out, momentarily breathless, but she would not let this chance slip away as she would grab Karen's boot with both hands, preventing her from pulling her foot back. Giving her ankle a hard wrench, Megumi would try to use a move that would allow her to bring Karen down.

"Hrraaahh!!"

She would try to flip Karen with a dragon screw, hoping that she could bring her down into the floor with the move. At the same time, the referee kept on counting.

"SIX!"

The kick found its mark making the girl fold up and seemingly look out of it. Though Karen felt like she had a chance to strike after that, she suddenly found that her boot was stuck in place. Megumi had been able to grab it and Karent ried to pull her boot away as she came back up hurt but strong enough to try something else. Before she could protest Karen was tossed to the floor with a dragon screw her leg being twisted and dragging her down to the floor as she hit it side first.

"Accghk!" Karen screamed out her body not taking the collision well at all, her back was aching and her whole waist in general wasnt doing well. Plus she was back on the ground with the time ticking down meaning she needed to get back up to her feet and pronot but the pain meant she needed a second just to breathe.

Breathing out heavily after bringing Karen down with the dragon screw, Megumi decided to keep it up as she would bend down to pick Karen up, yanking her up from the floor before dragging her towards the ring apron. Then, she would grab Karen's body, scooping her up in order to drive her spine first onto the hard surface of the apron, hurting her a bit more before pushing her back into the ring.

Right after pushing Karen back into the ring, Megumi would climb up the apron, entering the ring, stopping the referee's count. Still, Megumi's body was aching from all the damages she took from Karen, and she would take some time to recover at the ropes.

Knocked back to the floor while she was trying to get back up to her feet she was suddenly grabbed and pulled up again. As the count was reaching the final few seconds it was clear that Megumi didnt want any part of letting this match end in this manner. Though just because she was leading her to the ring didnt mean it would be that simple as she was suddenly dropped back first against the apron again.

"Aaagghhaaggh!" Karen screamed as her back felt the shock of the impact before she was tossed in the ring. Her body felt weak all around and she was whimpering as she stayed on the mat trying to deal with the pain. For now she couldn't do much to stop Megumi from getting back on the attack, though she did try and roll on her back to keep her from targeting it.

Megumi climbed up the apron, grabbing the top rope as she heaved out a heavy breath. Then, she would slip back into the ring, closing in to Karen who was on the mat before she bent down, grabbing her by her head to pull her up. Keeping Karen on her feet, she would hold her by her head with one hand while she would clench the fist of her other hand so that she could deliver a forearm smash right across Karen's face.

The former Wrestle Angel was planning to follow up the forearm smash with an uppercut under Karen's jaw, looking to soften her up for a bit before she could get her win.
