Sheila Chihara vs. Kimiko Bando - POW Match

When Sheila was coming at her with lightning-fast offense, Kimiko needed something to break the momentum long enough for her to catch her breath and collect herself. But nothing she could do seemed to keep the Australian girl down for long! Even when she flipped Sheila into the pin, she kicked out a moment later - and with that same momentum, rolled herself over to the side to clamor atop her foe. Sheila was determined to win this, and she was going to put everything she could in pursuit of her goals. She wouldn't let herself stay down for long!

From her mounted position atop Kimiko, Sheila tried to fling an elbow in her direction. Kimiko was knocked by the blow, going reeling with the momentum of the strike, but she still struggled to pull away from Sheila. Sheila, however, wasn't about to let her get away that easily! Even as Kimiko wormed her way out from under her, sending her toppling over onto her side, her teeth clenched in a snarl. She wasn't going to concede the upper hand like that!

"Heeey, get back here-!" Sheila roared. Throwing her arm out, she attempted to sling it around Kimiko's throat, trying to latch onto the Japanese girl with a sleeperhold!

Being beneath an opponent in most situations was a bad position, and Sheila proved this one to be a bad one with one simple strike that rattled Kimiko and left her on the defense trying to squirm and get away! Unfortunately for Kimiko though her worming succeeded in two ways, getting away and angering of opponent. Temporarily free, Kimiko rolled onto her stomach trying to crawl and scramble to the ropes only for Sheila to be back on her quickly.

Only getting a few feet the Japanese woman felt her opponent's arm wrap around her neck. "GACK NO!" Kimiko protested desperately reaching towards the ropes as Sheila trapped her in a sleeper hold!

Kimiko was trying to take back the momentum and regain control...but Sheila was determined to make sure that wasn't going to be so easy. The Australian girl was still riding high on her momentum, and she wouldn't even let Kimiko breathe easy with the knowledge that she was free before she went on the warpath again! In fact, she wasn't about to let Kimiko breathe much at all. Pouncing on her foe, she swung her arm tightly against her throat to try and pull her back against her chest, going for a sleeperhold!

But just as determined as Sheila was to keep Kimiko under control, Kimiko was determined to press her advantage and escape! She kept working closer and closer to the ropes, dragging herself across the mat an inch at a time. Sheila, tangled up with her, had no choice but to go along for the ride. She hissed through her clenched teeth, trying to pull back at Kimiko's throat to keep her from getting too far. Whatever happened, she couldn't make this easy!

"I said...stay down-!!" she hissed, her eyes narrowed into a piercing glare. Trying to keep Kimiko away from her goal, Sheila would pull her head back even further, looking to twist her spine into an arc to put more pressure on her back. If that worked, she would then swing her other arm toward the girl's skull, with an elbow aimed at the side of her head to stop her in her tracks!

What was worse than being choked? Being choked and having one of your only ways to escape including dragging an extra hundred pounds with you! As she got a few inches Sheila would yank back straining her neck even more! This hold wasn't only limiting her oxygen supply, it was now extremely painful! Sheila's words became more angry too with her ordering Kimiko to stay down. "Nnnnghhh No!" Kimiko managed to reply as she continued to crawl. Sheila then pulled back even farther on her neck bending Kimiko's back causing an agonizing pain to shoot through her spine before and elbow crashed into the side of her head. Kimiko completely stopped tempted to tap as she felt herself begin to fade.

Kimiko rallying her remaining willpower began to crawl once again though, pulling Sheila along for the ride and once we was just close enough she would reach her hand out attempting to grab and latch onto the bottom rope!

Sheila had gotten her hands on Kimiko, but the Japanese girl wasn't planning on making that easy for her. No matter how hard she clamped down at her throat, Kimiko refused to budge! Getting desperate, Sheila yanked as hard as she could at her head, forcing her back into a painful arc - and when that still didn't work, she would whip out a powerful elbow strike right to her opponent's head!

As the blow landed with a crack, and Kimiko fell flat, a few groans of sympathy could be heard from the audience. Now, Sheila could feel the last bit of strength draining away from Kimiko's body, and she knew it was only a matter of time. She leaned in closer, and her muscles went tense to try and stay in position. She just needed this to last a little bit longer. Come on, come on, she thought to herself. It was more important now more than ever that her hold didn't fail!

But as tightly as Sheila was holding on, it was Kimiko's resolve that would prove stronger - and at last, her hand reached out to grab the ropes, causing the referee to call for a break! Kimiko's supporters sent out a cheer - the fact she'd been able to pull it off at all stood as a true testament to her willpower! Sheila was so shocked that she was even capable of such a thing that for a moment she stayed right where she was, staring down at Kimiko with a blank stare of disbelief as her jaw dropped open in a gasp. But she soon shook that out of her head and released the hold, rolling over onto her side. She couldn't let this slow her down!

"Okay...second time's the charm!" Sheila cheered as she hopped back over to her feet, prepared for what lay in store for her next. She'd come close - she just had to hold out!

The trip to the ropes was agonizing and was it even worth it? Would Kimiko be able to fight after suffering this much? She or the crowd were not sure but once she reached the ropes she latched onto it for dear life wishing her opponent would release her sooner and when she did Kimiko sank into the canvas, one of her hands reaching back and cupping her neck. Her entire spine felt like it was on fire and she was breathing heavily trying to suck in as much air as she could. Kimiko was starting to think so long the referee had to come and check to make sure she could continue to which Kimiko answered him with a soft yes before moving both her hands beneath her and pushing up onto her hands and knees. "I have to do something" Kimiko thought to herself as she reached out and grabbed the second rope and then the third to pull herself back up onto her feet.

Turning around Kimiko looked at Sheila with some weariness in her eyes before getting into a fighting stance. Kimiko approached the woman cautiously looking for the best opening. She would act as if she was going for another lock-up before ducking under the woman's arm to go behind her and from there she would hook her arms underneath Sheila's before interlocking her fingers behind the woman's head for a full nelson hold!

Sheila had fought hard for dominance over Kimiko, and now that she had attained it, she wasn't going to let it go that easily. No matter how far Kimiko dragged herself across the canvas, or how close she came to the ropes, Sheila wasn't going to give up - her teeth clenched tight, and her body was held rigid, refusing to budge! In the end, though, Kimiko's equally strong determination won out, and Sheila was forced to let go of her, hopping back to her feet once she grabbed the ropes. Sheila had definitely done a number on her - as the Australian girl stepped back, she looked over her opponent, seeing her laying there panting and groaning on the ground. And that only made her fists tighten at her sides, standing straighter as she steeled her determination. If she had come this close, then surely she could do it again!

When Sheila saw that Kimiko was offering another lockup to her, she came a step closer, nodding her head and raising her arms. This would be easy, she thought - if she was going to lock up with Kimiko in this state, when her strength was this spent, it would be no trouble at all to overpower her! Unfortunately for Sheila, that wasn't Kimiko's intention at all - and when it came to feints and psychological tactics, Sheila was an easy opponent to mislead. The next thing she knew, Kimiko had slipped behind her, and she barely even had time to gasp before her arms were locked behind her, pulled back in Kimiko's grasp!

As the felt the muscles and tendons in her arms stretch to their limit, Sheila hissed under her breath, her face contorted in a grimace. She wriggled from side to side, but she could barely budge. But she wasn't going to give up - not when she knew that victory was well within her grasp! As Kimiko pulled her back, she would attempt to swing her head behind her in an attempt to slam the back of her skull into her foe's face! If she couldn't use her arms, she wasn't afraid to improvise.

Kimiko couldn't risk letting Sheila get the upper hand on her, she had to play this cautiously but she had to also be bold and brave in her choice of offense, she needed to wear Sheila down, drain her energy, tire the wild animal that she seemed to be sometimes. Kimiko's game plan came in the form of a full nelson she managed to trap Sheila in. "Come on Sheila... just give up... please" Kimiko pleaded in between pants of exercise, this match had taken a lot out of her but she felt that she had more than enough energy to put Sheila away. As Sheila's head flew backward Kimiko loosened her hold and pulled her face away away just in time to avoid a nasty headbutt before immediately tightening her hold again.

Wanting to avoid a no doubt imminent second attempt at a head butt Kimiko turned her body and lifted Sheila slightly aiming to slam her front first onto the canvas with her still maintaining the full nelson as she came down on top of her. From there Kimiko would maneuver herself so that she was straddling Sheila's back in a position similar to a camel clutch but while also having the added pain of a full nelson. It was Kimiko's first time attempting a move like this but variety was the spice of life and it was early in her career, it was good to expand her move set if anything.

Kimiko had latched onto a strategy - Sheila was wild and unpredictable, so if she wanted to stand a chance, she was going to have to drain her energy and make her a little more manageable. But that was an easier task said than done, considering the Australian girl seemed to be a boundless fountain of stamina! Even when she had her arms trapped, struggling in Kimiko's grasp and trying in vain to yank herself free; even when the stinging pain in her back was growing stronger and stronger with every inch she was hauled backward, Sheila was determined to fight back! And if she couldn't get a good strike at Kimiko with her arms or her legs, she would just use her head - in the only way that statement tended to apply to her!

However, it wasn't to be. Sheila tried to throw her head back at Kimiko, but the Japanese woman only dodged out of the way! And from there, she managed to drop down, slamming her opponent face-first into the mat! Sheila fell with a thump; she let out a groan, but it was muffled into the canvas. And Kimiko was still on her back - and still cranking back hard at her arms!

Sheila's teeth clenched in a pained grimace. She tried to toss her weight from side to side, but Kimiko barely seemed to budge. If she was still on her feet, she could have kicked behind her, but now that they were down on the mat, that option was out the window too! But Sheila still wasn't ready to give up until she had tried absolutely everything in her arsenal! She tried to plant her knees against the mat, attempting to get a good foothold to brace herself with before she bucked up as hard as she could to try and jostle her foe!

Sheila certainly was wild, fighting like an animal! Hell if Kimiko hadn't reacted in time that headbutt might just have freed her and turned the match back around in the Australian woman's favor, but instead Kimiko took things down to the mat still working her over the best she could aiming to drain as much energy as she could from the woman! Sheila was stubborn though and didn't tap out... yet at least Kimiko was doing her hardest to make her do just that.

"Come on... just give!" Kimiko pleaded once again wrenching back even harder as Sheila squirmed side to side. Sheila couldn't possibly have that many tricks left could she? Kimiko continued to keep her hold locked in as Sheila managed to get her knees beneath them before bucking, slightly unseating Kimiko but the Japanese woman was willing to let her go just yet! "TAP!" Kimiko shouted continuing to keep her hold locked in even as Sheila tried to work her way out of it!
