Re: Best way to make friends
"I didn't mean that I was too heavy for you, just that your hips were against the mat, I didn't think you would contort like this. And besides, it's not like you were making it easy for me to choke you."
She replied grabbing some of the offered dish. It was true enough that she focused more on maintaining control than the coke itself but she knew it would do the job if slightly slower.

"I see. Well, I'm not a contortionist. That leg lock you managed was flexing my back a lot."
Senji responded as he was referring to when she'd sat on his back while performing that Boston Crab? He wasn't familiar with a lot of pro wrestling moves. He could get around them since he managed to escape that situation despite losing in the end. Senji's spine had also flexed outward when she'd performed the Dragon Sleeper due to her having to bend him over her middle to perform it properly and keep her feet crossed. Naturally, since his endurance and tolerance for pain was very good, he'd managed to endure for the most part. This should be noted that she had cautioned him against moving while torquing the hold and was legitimately not desiring to snap his spine or damage his leg. Still, Senji had been and is durable. He slowed down his speed of eating to continue to listen to Geun, averaging a piece of sushi much slower than last recorded.

"Yeah, like the bottom crab, it puts pressure on the spine but is not likely to injure it. That particular variation can be more painful, both teaching back and rotating. Though there is more risk of injuring the leg, as you could see back there."
She said pushing the plate of Boosam to Senji to share with him as well.
"Though it's a very wrestling move, not really practical."

"I'd...prefer to dislocate something. I obviously know joint locks are dangerous."
["I can risk fighting chokes for a small time longer. But Huan cautioned me against being too stubborn. I knew that already. I'm not sure what possesses me to do it, exactly?"]
This conversation caused Senji to reflect on his previous sessions. More specifically, when the opponents managed to snag him. He was aware of the limits of his body, thus contributing to why he tended to fight fiercely more often than not. As with Geun and Huan though, he'd tap out to reset and go again. At least it hadn't been a lopsided beat down in the hands of the former because he had gotten a point after she used the armlock on him. That had been his most successful action and the Triangle Choke trap was a worthy addition despite it failing. He could try it again at some point in the future. Concerning the Boston Crab, Senji noticed both in hindsight and during the match that the pressure had been reduced when she wasn't sitting on it or he'd been planking. That is, keeping his elbows to push himself up. If only he was faster, the game might've been set using the inverted heel hook. Senji's yellowed eyes looked at the Pork bestowed upon his pallette. He took up his chopsticks and enclosed them around the slices, taking up a few pieces of the cabbage served alongside the Korean pork before starting to consume it.
Senji gave her his gratitude next. The tone sounded...perhaps what could be described as careful or not used to it. He kept to himself, after all. Wasn't used to thanking a lot of people. Quite the shame since he isn't hard on the eyes.
"Thank you, Geun. I haven't been taken out to dinner after a match before."

Re: Best way to make friends
"Don't mention it, I like to do that sort of thing. You know, you were not an asshole on the mats and that is surprisingly rare in my experience. I'd rather stay in your good graces."
She said with a smile as she reached for another price of pork. Senji so far seemed rather reserved, she thought he might be nervous, now that she thought of it she wouldn't be surprised. Trying to pull at his tongue a little more she came up with another question.
"So, outside of fighting, what do you like doing in your spare time?"

Re: Best way to make friends
Well, Takijima was nervous to an extent, most clearly by the occasional stumbling of words. But still, he had a hardened exterior and a calmed composure he always attempted to maintain. Remaining that way allowed one to not be surprised easily. He had to develop that habit due to his past deeds. Senji did not get a chance to reply to her first speech, as he was then faced with another question. He wanted to walk carefully around this. Senji wasn't one to directly lie. That'd be a negative stamp on how he went about matters.
"Exercise has to do with fighting---I do maintain my car as I should. It's particularly sought after, especially since there aren't any third-party modifications. Going across the winding roads here in Japan feel amazing. It's a...1997 Toyota Supra. They obviously don't make them anymore, so as I told you, I gained it from my inheritance. As for other things, I do enjoy cooking. I'm still learning but I guess I could cook for you...later. Music is great too, but I don't have time to play.---I gravitate towards listening to rock and heavy metal."
Senji hoped that was sufficient. The occasional pauses were for the sake of phrasing things properly. Short, concise, and gave her information. Senji took another piece of Sushi, popping in his mouth and letting the slight sweetness continue to bring him happiness. Well, it may have turned out to be a good thing for him to have not pulled away from Geun. Besides, Senji doubted she had any ill-intentions for him to worry about judging by how she acted when they were opponents. He started to see why Huan was friends with her. No cause for alarm just yet....

"Are you always this careful with words?"
Geun teased as she noticed Senji's very deliberate phrasing. Altogether his statement was very dry, almost as if something she could read in his bio if someone compiled one.
"We agree on music though, and exercise doesn't have to do just with fighting so it counts, I always liked rock climbing."

Re: Best way to make friends
Crap, he screwed up hadn't he? Senji pursed his lips before responding. He needed to fix this since he'd managed to kill the conversation's momentum.
"Usually, yeah. I try to keep calm and stop myself from saying stuff like 'what a crock of shit'. Guess I got that from Hiroyuki. I didn't want to sound like a robot."
He shrugged at the use of an expletive now that she'd got him to use his tongue more. It was foreign on the vocals but would probably give her the spice she wanted. In that case, Senji should probably work on giving his statements some more flavor. All in due time, then. Senji, by this time, finally finished off the last of his sushi. He pushed the plate towards the middle, a non-verbal indication that he was pretty much finished. Fingers then swatted over to the cup, picking the water up before putting the mouth to his lips. Thereupon, it'd be washed down in a moderately paced long drink. The absence of a substance brought the note to his attention that he'd finished all of the water.
"Mmm! I'll need to work this off soon."

"I suppose it's common to speak like that where you are from, right? Either way, you should relax more, I doubt you could say something inappropriate about your interests and besides, I have a high tolerance."
She said before reaching for the last price off her plate. Before replying to his statement.
"That shouldn't be too hard, mostly protein, and one cup of sweet tea won't have that much of an effect."

Re: Best way to make friends
"I'd say so, yeah. And Huan tells me the same thing."
The thought to ask Geun whether she wanted to leave entered his mind. However, Senji kept his throat from vocalizing it. It was unneeded. They'd leave when it was time. No need to rush this, he supposed. Senji was fairly filled up. He could eat more but this was a comfortable limit. Senji wasn't really a health nut. Sticking to a Japanese diet was better than the alternative. He wished to keep a handle on what he put in his body though. Something like an energy drink could only be an occasional thing he enjoyed. Plus, there'd be the issue of having to drink more for a proper buzz of energy. The boy was assured that he'd not a worry about losing his gains provided he kept a schedule. With Lei in the corner, it'll be hard to fall out of any training.
