Huan stretched her back in the chair before reaching for a cup of coffee, her mouth twisting in discomfort as she overestimated this place's quality and ordered it black, with no sugar, something she would surely not repeat if she ever comes again, then turned her attention to Alice. "For the most part, it's well equipped and close by. I do go somewhere else when I'm teaching through." She said before reaching for food. "Though there was something we were supposed to talk about, ummm... Yeah, your work I think, seems it bites your ass pretty hard from what I can tell so far." She said before taking a bite

Alice was taking the first bite of the slice of bread when Huan froze her in action, indirectly reminding her of their agreement. Her eyes arched wide at her even.

She would have plunged the matter into the depths of her responsibilities, but here, the issue is revived, and it is rude to go back on her word.

"Very well," she would say, averting her gaze to the other corner of her eye. "It's a demanding job, yes; but it's what you aspire to when you take it; however, yes, I'm annoyed by right now there is an administrative decision that I don't support, and I don't like the changes it brings." Alice would taste the breakfast again after that explanation.

"And you teach often?" The secretary commented with a slight curiosity in her tone.

Huan would sigh, hearing the response she just received. "You sure like being vague, I won't push if you really don't want to talk about that." She said, going back to her breakfast for a moment before a question was directed at her.

"Quite often, and increasingly so, I just got involved with a young lioness program at LAW... Though, to be fair, I don't have much to teach my main student." She paused for another bite before continuing. "I always found training in singular art stale, I try to keep it varied for my students. I suppose that's what I'm known for anyway."

Alice snorted a comical laugh at Huan's first response, by feeling uncovered. With her you can't beat around the bush. And it's true, there are times when she likes to give overly underhanded answers, and the reasons feel up in the air. Although it's somewhat natural, A woman this organized has to dodge some complicated issues like ego and romances so they don't hinder her career, and she's grateful that Huan gives her space to let it out or not - Alice's right shoulder still hurts from that sparring, and she liked it, she'd like to repeat some other day.

"How humble you «are», Lei." She commented sardonically, to seeking to break the ice further. "And I also prefer mixed-art training, you know." She commented to further validate, while giving her salad a few turns with her fork before taking a bite.

"There's a little bit of everything with me now, and it's all thanks for my stable." Sometimes it surprises her how very specific some martial techniques can be, or how useless certain arts are against other ones, plus how easy it can be to overcome a difficult submission or prevent it if you have the proper discipline. And within such a diverse landscape as L.A.W. it all comes back to experience and good intuition.

And she added one more question- "And your student is one of those they call a promise for the sport?" For someone like Huan to feel that she doesn't have much to teach her, that rookie must be very well prepared, or so the Englishwoman interprets it.

Seeing Alice's reaction, Huan would smile and go back to her food, raising her eyes back up when asked a question. She would rise her hand to signal she needed a moment to finish before she spoke. "Oh, certainly. She does need some polish here and there but I honestly can't think of anything in serious need of improvement." She said before wiping her mouth and reaching for the coffee, again grimacing as she took a sip.

"In all honesty, for the wrestling scene, I think she is in some ways better suited than I am. Her style is more showy if you know what I mean." She said before trying to figure out how to put it exactly. "Like, I stick to the simple and effective right? That girl has a tendency of tossing people across the ring and making it look easy. I honestly am not sure how she does that as efficiently as she does but can't argue with the results." Then she paused and chuckled as she caught herself boasting about her student. "I must sound like a mother talking about her kid, huh? Well, there are some things she could polish for sure, her kicks for one, they sure pack a punch but her form could be better."

Alice gently opened her lips to articulate something when Huan finished the first line, but she respected hers raised finger. She was going to try to contribute something again, but Lei again asked for time to continue narrating; so the secretary put her elbows on the table and crossed her fingers to give herself face support and be attentive to this moment.

And when the Sea Serpent held her tongue at discovering herself being so maternally proud of her pupil, Alice finished it off with an "Oh, you think so?" complicit in it. "You're anxious to see what he'll turn into tomorrow, aren't you?" She inquired before taking a sip of her cold tea. Suddenly breakfast wasn't so exciting anymore And the grimaces the mixed martial arts expert made with that coffee made it clear that she consumed it more for commitment than for pleasure. "That's why I didn't order coffee, but I thought you knew that too..." She added.

Huan waved at the coffee comment. "They just brewed a bad cup I suppose, I like coffee but this is just sour." Then she waved a waiter forward and asked for a cup of water. "As for the kid, anxious isn't the right word, I know they'll do great, curious fits more." She said then sighed with a slight chuckle. "But I'm here purring my guts out and you bearly told me anything. Come on, you mentioned the stable of yours, tell me something about them." And just as she finished the waiter returned with a cup

She has had journeys where she has criss-crossed from one corner of Japan to the other for several days, grading and assisting or organising and directing the next matches her team will have, and what kind of stories could be started or pursued in these, deciding where it would be best to stay and sharing information with other managers and assistants. So being continuous in only one gym is not common for this brunette, the gym next door to this venue has only hosted her about 3 times these past two weeks, and truth be told, when she tried the coffee here, she completely disqualified it - it's just not what she expected, but she wasn't going to complain about her taste, it's not polite to be like that.

So, when she saw Lei ask for a cup of water to top it off, she couldn't help but give a half-smile and exhale, barely restraining herself, and lowering her brown head to disguise the gesture. Then came the question and she used it to regain her professionalism.

Something about my stable, she thought as she looked up at the ceiling in search of something that wouldn't break her confidentiality and was worth mentioning. "Hmm.... I don't think stable would be the right way to call them...," she expressed hesitantly. "... have you ever seen a fight club?" Alice asked while, in turn, she twirled a pen between her fingers before clicking it and transcribing something in her notepad. It wouldn't be relevant us what she have just remembered.

Taking a sip of the water and listening to Alice, Huan couldn't help but raise an eyebrow. "Well, yeah but to be honest here, the way you talk makes me think you'd rather not. First, you tease the subject, then when I ask you evade, what's the deal with that?" Huan noted rather bluntly as Alice was not giving her much to go off of in their entire conversation.

"Oh, no, it's not that!" she excused herself. She was so engrossed in just listening to each other's stories that she forgot that this was a mutual talk. "I was thinking about how to exemplify it, because my stable started like this," she added. "Like a fight club's roster," she took the last sip of her cold tea, before calling a waiter to order another drink, as she continued to narrate: "that's why they're so diverse, both in styles, tastes, areas, interests... you know, they seem more like a community than a stable, if you ever see a match of them, you might understand me."
