Toshiko Ito vs Amy Evans - Apex Qualifier

Amy would stay in place letting her body rest for the first time since the match started, Toshiko was taking some time to get back up as well, but the fact she was getting up at all showed how tough she was since Amy's powerbomb usually had her opponents taking a long nap. Soon Toshiko was back on her feet and moving towards Amy, giving her the moment to strike Amy decided she should take. Her hand came up to strike Toshiko in the chest before she would rush up and go for a double leg to lift Toshiko off the floor.

"Just because you're still standing doesn't mean I can't hit you with something harder." Amy said. Running across the ring holding Toshiko before she would throw her to the ground the takedown, pulling back she brought her arms up and would throw her hands down on Toshiko's face with a clubbing blow to the girls head.

As Toshiko began to pick Amy up, she suddenly felt herself hit in the chest. She recoiled slightly, dropping Evans' leg as she staggered back, letting out a low groan. And before she knew it, she was being grabbed under her leg by Amy and carried the distance of the ring. Getting ready to fire an elbow on Evans, the Japanese wrestler was instead planted into the ground and Evans followed up wit h punishing strikes and punches to her head.

"Gnnn...!" growled Ito as she held her arms up to guard her head, but the hits kept coming. Toshiko was savvy enough to know guarding her head would be unsustainable with her opponent on top of her like this. Toshiko would then block one punch and grab Amy's left arm to cease it from striking her any further. And after taking a club flush to the head, Ito would fire a palm strike directly towards Amy's head, hoping to dislodge the blonde from her now and just put an end to her current onslaught.

Amy was punishing Toshiko to make sure that she was unable to stop her from getting up and starting her attacks like before. The lion was going to make her suffer for her insults, her disrespect towards Amy by rushing her like that needed to be punished. Her punches knocked Toshiko around and forced her to try to defend herself, Amy used that time to secure a better position and readied herself to punish her defense until Toshiko was unable to defend herself until the fighter quickly threw her hand up to her chin.

"Gaah!" Amy groaned, her head turning up and looking at the lights before Amy stood up and off Toshiko, the two separated once again. Amy knew she was probably being overtly cautious but right now she didn't want Toshiko to start turning things around, if she could keep some distance whenever Toshiko fought back she wouldn't be able to continue what she was doing before.

Fortunately for Toshiko, her block and palm strike had managed to punish Amy, rattling her jaw and knocking her away. Despite having been battered repeatedly by blows, Ito's strikes were measured and aligned for precision still. Still, after Evans had been forced off of Toshiko, the Japanese striker held her head with one hand, letting out a low groan of pain as she tried to deal with the repeated shots she took. All of it was starting to add up as the Twilight Edge didn't make a move to get up immediately, and instead she simply laid there to recover.

The stinger that Ito had given the blonde was enough that it gave Amy enough fear knowing how she could strike out of nowhere with a devastating strike that may well stop Amy right where she was and turn the tables. Getting to one knee first, Ito scowled behind her mask, glaring at Amy, nodding her head a few times before bringing herself up fully. "Face me!" shouted Toshiko in a domineering voice. She didn't know how her opponent would react: fear, caution, anger, or recklessness. But the Japanese girl was making it clear that she still had more in the tank and that she was unafraid of whatever Amy Evans may try next, even despite the toll her body had taken through this match so far.

Amy had backed off and when she did Toshiko returned to her feet, but instead of getting back at her like she would have done when they started she called to Amy demanding that the Lion confront her again. A bold demand and one Amy was not going to turn down, now that they were on even footing Amy knew she could put Toshiko down without her trying to jump up at her again with another painful kick.

"You're funeral." Amy said as she would do exactly what Toshiko said she wanted and closed in to face her. She watched her arms for any signs of an upcoming strike and wanted to quickly bring her down by not giving her much time to react. Amy would close in and once she was in range she would feint, making a move like she was going for Toshiko's chest but would instead try to throw a right to her face.

Toshiko Ito stared down Amy, feeling the adrenaline pumping through her now as she got a reaction from her opponent after her demand. She came back just as boldly, getting into her face, which only made Toshiko glare at her even more furiously. When Evans got close, however, she would feint going for her chest, causing Ito to react accordingly before she was nailed directly in the face, head jerking over to the side as her head hung from the pain of it.

Ito growled and then she turned to face Amy again and threw a double palm strike directly for the blonde's chest, hoping to catch her before firing another kick towards her midsection. And finally, she would attempt a rising knee towards her face. Despite her condition, she was still a wicked striker, using her energy to come back at Amy hard and push through her fatigue.

Toshiko learned that Amy was willing to push through any pain and go face to face with her foes when needed, if called out it guaranteed she would do it. But Amy knew that the strikes from Toshiko were dangerous and she hadn't forgotten about that when feinting to misdirect her attack and hitting her face instead of her chest. Toshiko quickly turned back to take her down but Amy was ready to counter and block the palm strikes. The pain in her arm from the strikes was still unpleasant and needing to use both of her hands left her unprepared for the kick.

"Ugggh!" Amy groaned. Her belly struck by the kick and it lowered her just enough for Toshiko's incoming knee strike. "Gaaggh!" Amy screamed as her head shot up. She looked dazed as the pain seemed to make her head feel like it had cracked, but life quickly returned to her eyes and she quickly attacked again, another right to her face before trying to slam a left into Toshiko's belly.

Toshiko had landed her strikes that mattered, finishing with that knee strike to Amy's head while she had doubled over. The Japanese girl taking a moment to recover, but it seemed like Amy's adrenaline was flowing just as much as her's, as Evans immediately struck back. She sent a right to Toshiko's face, hitting her flush, followed by a left directly into her midsection! Toshiko Ito would stagger back, groaning in pain airlessly, "Huhhnnnnn..."

Her feet kept going back as she slowed to a stop. Toshiko could have stopped there, but her body was simultaneously rejecting it while she willed it to do what she wanted. So she would try an unorthodox move she knew would hurt like hell to perform in her condition, but she absolutely needed to close the gap and surprise Evans now to try squeaking out a win. With a growl, Ito would then roll forward towards Amy, closing the distance between them. "Yah!" she yelled as she sprung up, turning and grabbing for Evans' head to hit her with a Rolling Cutter she named Slice the Wind, wanting to take her down and potentially get a win!

Toshiko's struggles were bad, but so were Amy's. Neither one of them could keep going like this for much longer, exchanging blows until someone dropped would end with both of them doing so. Amy thought for a moment that she had changed that with her last punch, hitting Toshiko and making stumble back from the blow to her abs made her think that Toshiko might be hurt enough Amy could push in after her. But soon Toshiko came back at her, rolling towards her and then jumping up to catch Amy in a cutter, and bringing them both down when she hit the mat again.

"Uuuugh!" Amy screamed. Her head bounced on the mat as another big move came out of nowhere, it wasn't just her strikes that she had to look out for Toshiko just made everything hurt more. Amy laid on her back groaning as her body rolled in place before she settled on her back,Toshiko might not be getting back at her like before but she still knew she had to move soon, even if her body resisted her attempts to get up.

Toshiko had thrown her all into the Slice the Wind as she managed to connect with the maneuver and drop Amy's face directly into the mat. While Evans was clearly stunned from it, the exertion of performing the move after having gotten into such a scrap had put Ito in a state of unrest herself as her body throbbed. She laid in front of Evans, taking the opportunity to recover as well, not moving even after the referee began to count them both out.

"Gnnnn..." groaned the Japanese girl, eventually rolling onto her side, grimacing in pain. Gritting her teeth, she would then grab hold of Amy and then rip her to her feet, looking like it took a lot out of her to even do that much. She would then grab hold of Evans' arm and drape it over her own shoulders. She was ready to try to finish her off now and get a win, as she wasn't sure how much she could endure after that. Rising a leg up high, she would attempt to sweep it and flip with her opponent, trying to hit the Ranhei maneuver she calls Daggerfall, and if successful, she would try for the pinfall as well!
