A reliably standard match - Kotone Shiomi vs Húxiān Li

Hearing Kotone yell out in pain from having her eyes poked caused Húxiān to laugh. To Húxiān, seeing her opponent in pain and at her mercy was amusing in and of itself. However, seeing Kotone give in to her anger was just as thrilling. This marked the second time that Húxiān had managed to make the normally kind, good-natured, and tough Kotone lash out in anger. It gave Húxiān immense satisfaction to know that she had gotten into Kotone's head---something that Húxiān had initially failed to accomplish.

Although Kotone tried to squirm out of the choke, Húxiān kept the hold locked in tight. Húxiān would attempt to pull down on Kotone's head to make the pressure on Kotone's neck greater. After doing this for a few seconds, Húxiān would then begin to throw an elbow but would be interrupted.

"STOP!" commanded the referee. "Eye gouges are illegal!"

"It was an accident. I was trying to pull her head down to tighten the hold," stated Húxiān casually.

"Alright, but I still need to examine Kotone so please release the hold."

After hearing these words, Húxiān squeezed even harder and then released the hold after a couple of seconds. "That's too bad. I was going to make you pass out. Then, I was going to take you home and make you my personal sex slave," taunted Húxiān flippantly. Húxiān wanted to see if she could get yet another rise out of Kotone by saying something crude and disrespectful. Afterwards, Húxiān got up and walked to a specific corner of the ring---but not before sneaking in a quick jab.

"Weakling," said Húxiān to Kotone in yet another attempt to piss Kotone off. Húxiān would then reach the corner, slide out of the ring, and begin looking underneath the ring for something. After a short amount of time, Húxiān would find what she was looking for: rope. The rope was probably meant for a hardcore match but there was nothing to stop Húxiān from taking it.

Meanwhile, the referee would be too busy checking on Kotone to notice that Húxiān had exited the ring. Instead, the referee would be focused on checking on Kotone. "Nice woman, huh? A real paragon of kindness," the referee would state sarcastically to Kotone. The referee would wait for Kotone's response and then say "Now, let's take a look at those eyes of yours."

Kotone was released from the choke at the referee's discretion, as the ref was hoping to check on the condition of Kotone's eyes. But Kotone used her hands to shove the ref away. "No , you are not ending this match. I don't care if I go blind or deaf, I will not let that bitch win. As this point, I rather die than let her win, so let me continue!" Kotone slowly started to get back up to her feet.

Kotone then waited for Huxian to make her next move, hoping she could feel Huxian out.

"GAH!" cried the referee as she hit the mat. Upon being shoved by Kotone, the referee had pretended to trip and fall onto her back. Gasps of shock could be heard throughout the audience as no one expected the babyface Kotone to seemingly assault a referee. Since the referee managed to do a good job of selling the fall, the crowd was unaware that the fall had been faked. Then, some boos rang out from the crowd; although most of the crowd stayed silent, some of the audience members did not take well to seeing someone like Kotone act like a heel. The boos were clearly audible and there would be very little chance that Kotone would have not heard them.

After Kotone finished speaking, the referee rose to her feet. Then, with an edge in her voice, the referee said, "You do NOT lay hands on a referee under ANY circumstances." The referee would walk towards Kotone. "Do you hear that booing? It's not for Húxiān---it's for you." Because the referee had a microphone, the whole arena could hear the referee chastise Kotone. "Whether or not this match ends is up to me. It is not up to you to decide," scolded the referee as she would attempt to grab Kotone by the arm. If the referee managed to grab Kotone's arm, the referee would then attempt to guide Kotone to the center of the ring. "Now, I am going to check on your eyes. If you object, I will disqualify you. And if you assault me again, you WILL be sanctioned," the referee would state bluntly. "Do you understand?"

Then, assuming that the referee was able to guide Kotone to the center of the ring, the referee would then attempt to grab both of Kotone's upper arms and force Kotone to face directly at her. The referee would then begin inspecting Kotone's eyes for damage while attempting to firmly hold Kotone in place. Since Kotone had taken a pretty nasty poke to the eye, the referee doubted that Kotone would be able to see for the remainder of the match. Still, the referee could not be one-hundred percent sure about the state of Kotone's eyes without looking at them.

Meanwhile, Húxiān would be watching the events unfold in the ring. If the referee was not successful in leading Kotone to the center of the ring, Húxiān would simply place the rope back underneath the ring for later. Otherwise, if the referee did succeed, Húxiān would silently enter the ring, holding the rope in her left hand. She would make sure to enter on a side that would position her towards Kotone's back. Then, Húxiān would slowly creep towards Kotone and the referee.

Side note:
Húxiān's manager, Ryūji Endō, had manipulated the referee to act in her favor. In addition to being bribed, the referee was also being coerced as well---her husband was hopelessly in-debt to Endō, so Endō had considerable leverage over both the referee and her husband. Specifically, in exchange for temporarily freezing the interest on the debt and not resorting to extreme measures to collect on the debt, the referee was supposed to do Endō's bidding. The implication was that if the referee did not do Endō's bidding, Endō would have some of his men collect on the debt: forced labor, loss of property, bodily harm, and worse things would befall the referee and her husband if the former did not comply. The referee was given specific instructions to do the following: make sure the match does not "prematurely" end, do not give anyone reason to believe that you are being "influenced", and if you see a chance to help Húxiān that would not blow your cover, do so. Thus, even though the referee had sympathy for Kotone, the referee would still work in Húxiān's favor whenever possible.

Needless to say, Kotone was not happy with the actions of the referee, trying to check on her and possibly stop the match as well as the crowd booing. "Alright fine, but yu are not stopping this match or else Huxian ain't gonna be the only one I'm gonna beat tonight." Kotone said in an aggressive tone unbefitting of the usually happy babyface. Huxian had really got into her head. But she had to keep calm to avoid a disqualification, and the ref led her to the center of the ring.

Kotone was busy getting her eyes checked, not knowing what will happen next.

Although the referee could see Húxiān creeping towards her and Kotone out of the corner of her eye, the referee make sure to keep her eyes on Kotone. By then, the crowd was booing loudly, unhappy with the way Kotone had acted: from the audience's perspective, Kotone had violently pushed the referee and had even threatened to beat up the referee if the match was stopped. Most of the crowd was angered and disgusted, and the few fans who tried to warn Kotone of Húxiān's approach were drowned out amidst a sea of booing.

Meanwhile, Húxiān crept towards Kotone. The rope was in Húxiān's left hand and her right hand was free. Any noises that Húxiān made while approaching would be masked by the thunderous booing. Once Húxiān was within striking range, she would stop. The referee would keep glancing at Kotone's eyes as if Húxiān was not there; furthermore, the referee would hold onto Kotone's arms in an attempt to make sure Kotone did not move.

Suddenly, a roundhouse kick would slice through the air towards Kotone's head---a powerful kick seemingly intent on knocking Kotone's head clean off! This kick would not be some weak point-style combat kick or some lightning-fast karate kick. Instead, Húxiān's kick was more akin to a baseball bat, swung as if it were not only trying to hit the target but also go right through it as well!

If the kick landed, Húxiān would pause for a split second to see if she had knocked Kotone down. If Kotone was still somehow standing, Húxiān would attempt to throw Kotone to the ground. If Kotone still remained standing after all of that, Húxiān would have to adjust her plans. However, if Kotone did end on on the ground---regardless of how it happened---Húxiān would then attempt to unload a barrage of stomps straight to Kotone's head, as if trying to pound Kotone's head through the mat itself!

"Stop! I need to inspect---" The referee would not even get a chance to finish her statement as Húxiān would throw a quick punch to the referee's face, hitting the referee square in the nose. Even though Húxiān would not put a lot of force into her punch, the referee's nose would begin bleeding a little. Furthermore, the referee would pretend that the strike was worse than it actually was and fall to the ground, clutching her nose. After the referee recovered, she would make sure to disqualify Húxiān---however, for the time being, the referee would lie on the mat, pretending to be incapacitated.

After striking the referee, Húxiān would then turn back to Kotone. "You weak little girl! No self-control! This is all it takes for you to lose your cool?! Some woman fighting dirty and saying mean things about wrestling?!" Húxiān would yell as she attempted to throw more vicious stomps to Kotone's head. "You would piss away all of your morals, betray your image, and spit in the face of your fans---and for what reason? All because you got pissed off at some woman you don't even fucking know!"

Húxiān would stop stomping on Kotone's head after that statement. Then, looming over her (presumably) incapacitated opponent, Húxiān would attempt to spit on Kotone's face: yet another insult among a cavalcade of abuses. Then, Húxiān would continue insulting Kotone. "Looks like this is the real Kotone: a girl who turns into an unmitigated ball of spite the moment someone gets under her skin. A brat with no self-control who can't help but physically lash out whenever she throws a fucking temper tantrum." The crowd be mostly silent as the audience was glued to their seats, waiting with anticipation for what will happen next. "If you are a bitch at heart, you should fucking own it! Don't try to hide behind some fucking babyface facade!" Húxiān would yell, her voice gradually rising in volume. Finally, Húxiān would conclude her abusive tirade by shouting "Abandon the pretense! Drop the PERSONA! And reveal your TRUE SELF!"

Kotone was busy letting the referee check on her, not knowing of why the audience was booing. She didn't understand, she wasn't going to quit this match, and she wasn't going to let any ref try to make that decision for her. If only they knew how she really felt, because she didn't want to do anything to the referee, Huxian was her main concern, and she can't let Huxian win. Even if her body was heavily beaten, her eyes blinded, she couldn't quit now.

As she was being checked on, Huxian landed a swift kick to the head of Kotone, almost like a baseball bat cracking after it hit a fastball for a home run. Within a few seconds, Kotone went from standing on her own two feet, to immediately dropping face first into the mat, knocked out from the kick Huxian gave her. Everything to Kotone went blank, her body seemingly lifeless, even if she was still breathing.

Kotone could not hear any of Huxian's insults, nor feel Huxian stomping her head viciously with stomps. Kotone couldn't react to anything, and thus, Huxian could pretty much do anything to her.

"Abandon the pretense! Drop the PERSONA! And reveal your TRUE SELF!"

The crowd was nearly silent as those words echoed throughout the arena. As the last remnants of her spiteful tirade decayed into silence, Húxiān looked down at her victim: the woman was out cold.

"Ah, fucking fuck," spat Húxiān as she glared at the unconscious woman. "If something has 'Reliable' in its nickname, one would think that it would at least be able to take a beating." Húxiān threw two more vicious stomps at the back of her victim's head. "You know, it's really fucking difficult to yell like I just did---and you didn't even stay awake to hear me. But I suppose you've outed yourself as a heel now, so being a disrespectful bitch is to be expected."

Húxiān threw two more stomps for good measure, partly out of sadism, partly out of spite, and partly to ensure that her victim did not wake up prematurely. Then, after gathering both of her victim's hands together, Húxiān started tying the rope around the woman's wrists to bind them together behind the woman's back. The ropes were tied tightly to ensure that the ropes would bite into the woman's wrists and be extremely painful while simultaneously denying use of the arms.

"Urrgh..." groaned the referee as she tried to get to her feet. Immediately, Húxiān's spun around to see that the referee was starting to recover.

"Right... A simple jab wouldn't be able to keep someone down for long," thought Húxiān. With a sigh, Húxiān got up and began jogging towards the referee. "Stay down, bitch!" hissed Húxiān as she soccer-kicked the referee in the head. "Why don't---BAM!---you take some time---BAM!---off?" Húxiān's foot impacted with the referee's skull twice, causing the referee to lose consciousness.

After that brief detour, Húxiān went back to taking care of her victim. Húxiān bound the unconscious woman's ankles together in similar fashion to the wrists. After that was done, Húxiān made sure to test the bonds to make sure that they were near-inescapable. Once it was clear that the unconscious woman would almost certainly not be able to escape, Húxiān got up and stomped on the woman's head once more. "Stay doggy, stay... Húxiān paused. "Good boy!" taunted Húxiān.

Húxiān then slid out of the ring, walked to a nearby corner, and grabbed something from underneath the ring. The item that Húxiān grabbed was a large, nondescript tool bag that she had surreptitiously hidden underneath the ring hours before the match had started. After grabbing the tool bag, Húxiān reentered the ring and sat next to her victim, setting the tool bag down nearby. Húxiān would wait until the woman next to her regained consciousness.

Once the woman regained consciousness, Húxiān would pretend to gasp in shock. "The patient... She's awake!" Húxiān would exclaim. However, the voice that would come out of Húxiān's mouth would not sound like Húxiān---instead, it would be higher pitched and have a different timbre from Húxiān's regular voice. In fact, the voice would sound like an entirely different person, with only a slight trace of Húxiān's normal voice remaining. Continuing to speak in that voice, Húxiān would then say "You were the victim of an extremely terrible beating. You've been in a coma for the past three years."

The arena would be dead-silent as the audience anxiously waited to see what would happen next.

Kotone did not know what was happening, her body had merely gone into a resting state as Huxian taunted her throughout the ring and arena. Kotone started to regain consciousness, her head slowly moving upward as her blinded eyes couldn't make out what was happening. She couldn't move her arms as they were somehow tied behind her back. She could struggle to get them off, but she was so out of energy that the task was impossible.

"Ugghhh, I've been out the past three years what? What happened to that Huxian bitch? I really miss three years of my life because of that asshole? Tell me where she is, I"M NOT DONE WITH HER!" Kotone exclaimed, not knowing that Huxian was the one making those statements.

[Ichi]

"Please calm down, Miss Húxiān!" Húxiān took a deep breath and paused for a moment, before continuing.. "You sustained very severe brain damage from a violent assault. Your hippocampus, the area of the brain that deals with memory, was badly damaged. Because of that, your memories might be... very distorted."

A wide, twisted grin was plastered across Húxiān's face as she told these lies. Húxiān had not expected her victim to fall for her trick that easily---after all, Kotone did not strike Húxiān as stupid, or at least not noticeably so. But stupidity was not the only possibility: brain damage from the beating, strong emotions, stress, exhaustion, fear, and many other factors could possibly have been at play here. At the end of the day, however, Húxiān cared little for what was going on in Kotone's head. The only thing that Húxiān cared about in that regard was how much her victim was suffering.

"Miss Húxiān, I'm sorry but..." Húxiān gently placed her hand on Kotone's shoulder, as if trying to comfort Kotone. "Whatever life you may have thought you had is probably false. And there aren't any records of a Húxiān in your file... except for you. Your name is Húxiān Li."

Kotone was extremely confused. Something about this was not right at all. It sucked that she was blinded still, cause if it was 3 years in a coma, the blindness should've weared off, because she wasn't permanently blind. Something was off about all this.

"NO! I hated that jerk from the moment I saw her. I refuse to be told these lies. There is no way I've been out for 3 years." Kotone said slowly attemptting to get up, she could tell the floor was obviously mat canvas instead of any hard floor, and her legs were tied. "Then why am I still in a wrestling ring huh?" Kotone asked the piercing question.
