Mara Ashford vs. Amy Henderson - Whatever It Takes

Mara carefully watched Amy as the blonde got herself back up onto her feet. She could clearly see that the blonde was hurting from everything that she had taken earlier, and she knew that she could take advantage of this. Then, she saw Amy closing in, seemingly looking to grapple with her again before she shifted her stance. From the look of it, Amy was trying to deliver a spear at her, but Mara was able to see it, and she would try to counter this.

Widening the gap between her feet, she would try to catch Amy in the act, grabbing her body when she was about to reach her. She grunted a little when Amy's body collided against hers, but she would stand her ground before attempting to drive her knee into her belly two times. Hoping that the knee strikes would leave the blonde winded, Mara planned to continue by lifting her body up before slamming her down back first with a body slam!

Amy went for her slower and sloppier spear. To no one's surprise, Mara had it scouted. As Amy ran into her, the short-haired girl caught the blonde and stood her ground. Amy may have been tired and hurting, but that didn't mean that she had lost her strength just yet. This would cause Mara to grunt when they collided. Before Amy could make heads or tails of the failure of her move, Mara had sent another few knees into her tummy, which made Amy recoil with each hit.

Mara quickly countered with a body slam. Amy was lifted up into the air being send down back to the canvas. "Oof!" She lay splayed out on the canvas. Things were looking bad for Amy right now. It felt like the momentum was shifting away from her and she couldn't getting back. She hadn't even really had a chance to showcase her strength yet! It stung how much better her opponent was than she had expected. It wasn't like she was overconfident or anything, she was just hoping that she would have been able to get more offense in than she had so far.

While all of this was going on, she took stock of where she was in the ring. She wanted to make sure to had outs for whatever was a bout to come next, since she wasn't sure that she would be able to dodge it at this point. She figured she had maybe one or two last big spurts of energy left in her to mount a counter attack. That meant she would need to find a way to put Mara away in those last two bursts, or she would be out of luck.

Mara slammed Amy into the mat with a body slam, and she panted a little, catching her breath as she looked down at her opponent. Thinking that the blonde might have been weakened, Mara decided to bend down and grab her by her head, planning to try getting her on all four. From there, she would pull Amy's head between her thighs, setting her into a standing headscissor.

And after that, Mara would reach down not to her midsection, but to her legs as she would bring one arm between Amy's legs and the other to the side of one of her thighs. She planned to clamp her hands together so that she could lift her up, holding her upside down for a Gotch-style piledriver. It might be too early to go for a match-ending move, but she wanted to see if she could get a win from this.

Amy is pulled up to her fours and shoved between Mara's legs in a standing head scissors. Tired as she is, she can tell that both of them are getting close to the end of their respective ropes. The crowd was begging to get hyped up for the possibly big move they were about to see. This could be the end of the match, they would think. And Indeed, that was Mara's intent.

As Amy felt Mara reaching down and clamping her arms around the blonde's thighs. Danger signs sprang up all around in her head. It didn't take a genius to tell that this move would not end well for her if she took it. So, as Mara lifted her up, Amy kicked and wiggled her legs as vigorously as she could in an attempt to counter the move and get out in time.

Should she be successful, Amy would break out of the hold and send a kick into Mara's midsection before hooking her up and trying to go for a big dangling suplex. It would be no finishing maneuver by any means, but it would do a significant amount of damage to the short haired girl.

Mara was planning to lift Amy up, holding her upside down by her thigh, looking to bring the blonde down head first into the mat with a Gotch-style piledriver. But Amy made it difficult for her to execute the move as she wiggled and kicked her legs, and this forced Mara to let go of the blonde, her attempt to piledrive her thwarted.

Mara would try to recoup her composure, but before she could do anything, Amy, who had quickly regained her footing, delivered a kick right into her exposed belly, causing Mara to gasp out in pain and double over, allowing the blonde to go for a suplex after grabbing her. "AAHHH!!!" Mara crashed back first onto the mat, moaning in pain as she nursed her back.

Thanks to quite a bit of effort on her part, Amy was able to break out of that piledriver move before it hit. Thank goodness for that. Even better was the fact that she was able to hook Mara up into a suplex before bringing her back down to the canvas hard on her back. She could hear the reverberations of the ring mat as the two landed in the center of the ring.

But Amy was tired. This match had taken a lot out of her. Her body was starting to feel heavy from all the punishment and lifting that she did earlier in the match. She needed to end this now. She did her best to scramble over to the bikini-clad wrestler and cover her for the pin. She hooked Mara's leg up as best she could and did her best to keep Mara's shoulders on the mat.

As soon as that happened, the ref came over to begin the count:

Mara was moaning in pain as she nursed her back after being thrown down onto the mat with a suplex by her opponent earlier. As she was still down, she then ended up getting herself pinned by Amy, who placed herself on top of her, hooking one of her feet up. Mara panted, feeling exhausted, but she didn't have any desire to lose this time as she would try to muster her strength to break the pin.

"TWO!"

Right after two, Mara would try to kick out, breaking the pin. The referee would show her two fingers, telling Amy and others that Mara was still unpinned and the match was still going. Grunting, Mara would try to push Amy off of her so that she could recover properly.

Amy had her hooked up and was poised to get the win right here! However, Mara was not ready to lose the match just yet, digging deep to kick out before the three count hit. Amy let out a grunt of frustration as Mara pushed her off. Now, both of them were panting heavily on the canvas next to each other. Both severely drained from all the efforts they had put in this match so far. Amy still had a few tricks up her sleeve left, but she was unsure if she would be able to pull them off in her current state.

Either way, if she wanted to win this match, she was going to have to try. Slowly flipping herself onto her stomach, she pushed her way up to her feet, staggering a bit in the process. Next, assuming Mara wasn't on her feet by now, Amy would pull Mara to her feet and give her a boot to the stomach for good measure. Then, she would start to set up for her finisher.

Locking shoulders with Mara and grabbing the short-haired girl's thighs, she would look to begin lifting Mara up into a Muscle-Buster position. She knew it was going to be a task and a half to pull it off. She wasn't even sure if she could right now. But she had to try. She wanted to win. Whatever It Takes.

Mara was panting hard, trying her best to catch her breath. While she might be able to stop the pinfall attempt, she was exhausted at this point, but she couldn't afford to let herself lose to Amy. As she tried to recover, she was suddenly pulled up by the blonde, who got herself back up onto her feet, bringing Mara with her.

"Ughhh..." Groaning, Mara could feel Amy setting her up for a devastating finisher as the blonde locked her shoulders with hers before reaching for her thighs, as if setting her up for a muscle buster finishing move. Knowing that it could end the match, Mara needed to act fast, and there was only one thing that she could do at this point.

Gritting her teeth, Mara would try to deliver a few punches right into Amy's belly, driving her fist at the same spot, hoping that the blows would put her plan to a halt, thus allowing Mara to step away from her. She needed to at least catch her breath a bit more before she could consider starting her counterattacks on her opponent.

Amy had Mara locked in place and ready to go for a ride. This was it, the most important moment! If she could hit this, the match would be hers. Oh how nice it would be to come out strong with a win on her debut! Alas, as she began to lift the short-haired girl up, Mara began hitting her with strikes to the belly. "OOF! OOH! UGH!" She held fast after the first few hit, but soon the pain became way too much and she just couldn't hold on any more. She let go of Mara and dropped down to one knee, clutching her stomach.

The two girls panted in an attempt to keep the oxygen flowing in their bodies, but both were pretty much at their limits by this point. Amy, in particular, had just burned the last of her energy trying to get Mara up into her finisher. Now, she was pretty much on empty. She could feel the fatigue really starting to set in here. Her vision was beginning to blur a little bit, and her body felt weak. Even if she could get back up and make an attack, she doubted she had the strength left to go for another finisher.

She was pretty much at the mercy of Mara at this point. Then again, she was already close to just falling on the canvas and taking a nap as it was.
