Asuna Fujino vs. Megumi Mutoh

asuna let her opponent go as Megumi went for a rope break, and waited for her to get up on her feet. It was clear that she did a number on the girl, her hurt leg visibly weaker. With Megumi on her feet and no longer at the ropes Asuna would move in and try to grapple up with the girl. She aimed to push the wrestler down to the mat again and finally secure her victory in ground combat, confident in her victory.

In the lockup she would soon start trying to use her leg to try and hook Megumi's intact leg out from under the girl, hoping to make her collapse and allowing Asuna to land on top of her on the mat.

Now locked up with Asuna again, Megumi seemed to be favoring her uninjured leg in order to keep herself standing, but it seemed that Asuna knew what she was doing as she went to pull the former Wrestle Angel's uninjured leg from under her, forcing her to stand on her injured leg. "Hnguhh!!" She winced, and was unable to keep her balance as a result. Due to this, Asuna easily pushed her down into the mat, and Megumi fell onto the canvas, back first. "Ngghhh!!"

With Asuna on top of her, Megumi needed to act fast before her opponent could pin her. Quickly freeing her arms, she would then grab her head with her right hand before she attempted to hammer her forearm into the side of Asuna's face, hoping to stun her so that she could push her off of her.

In a quick battle on her feet, Asuna managed to knock Megumi right back down, capitalising on having hurt her leg quite badly. With Megumi on the mat she wasted no time getting on top, but before she could work on going any further Megumi threw an elbow right at Asuna's face, making her yell in pain as she got dizzy. In that state it wasn't too hard for Megumi to push her off, making Asuna land on her side on the mat.

From there the girl would try to scramble to her knees to get back in the fight, but recovering too late to find Megumi laying down still. If she wasn't attacked first, however, she would try to punch the wrestler in the stomach to weaken her before another attempt at ground combat.

Pushing Asuna off of her, Megumi would try to recover from all the damages that she had sustained, but it seemed that her recovery didn't happen fast enough for her liking. Due to this, her opponent managed to get herself back on her knees before she delivered a punch right into Megumi's belly, causing her to gasp out in pain, air expelled out of her lungs, leaving her breathless!

"Guaagghhhh!!!"

Wheezing and coughing, Megumi brought her hands to her belly as she would roll over to her side, trying to soothe the pain. At the moment, all she could do was to curl herself into a cocoon as a defensive measure, hoping that she could withstand Asuna's next attack.

Asuna was knocked off by Megumi but she was fast enough to recover to get the next hit in herself, nailing Megumi in the stomach making the girl lose her composure completely as she rolled into a cocoon to try and protect herself. Asuna, however, couldn't let her stay like that. It wasn't too simple to force someone with Megumi's muscle out of the position, but Asuna wasn't all new to this.

Instead of trying to unwrap Megumi with brute force Asuna climbed over the top of her, perpendicular to Megumi and thrust her knee against the girl's ribs before leaving it there and placing her weight top put a painful amount of pressure on the girl. If Megumi wanted to stop the pain she had to either roll to her back exposing herself more or unwrap her limbs to fight back, giving Asuna more opportunities to trap her in a traditional hold.

Rolling herself into a cocoon wasn't the most effective way to defend oneself, but at the very least, it could conserve one's energy and allowed one to recover from the damages taken. But, Asuna seemed to know what she was doing as she climbed on top of Megumi, thrusting her knee against her ribs, causing intense pain around the affected area. "Aaaghhh!!" Megumi cried out in pain. With Asuna keeping her weight on top of her, she couldn't keep herself in this position, so she would have to roll over onto her back, once again putting herself in danger.

Still, Megumi wasn't a newbie in this kind of thing either. As soon as she was on her back, she would quickly move herself backwards so that she could try to grab Asuna by her head before lifting both her legs up, wrapping them around her head to put her in a triangle choke! A triangle choke was usually a move that she would use in desperation, and hopefully, this would deter her opponent from dealing more damage on her.

Asuna managed to force Megumi to release her defensive position with some well-placed pressure on the girl's ribs. Megumi soon rolled over to her stomach, putting her in a vulnerable position for Asuna but the wrestler was well aware of that and before Asuna could secure a safe hold on her she made her move. She dragged Asuna's head down and quickly trapped the girl in a triangle choke. "Argh" Asuna gasped as she felt the legs tightening around her neck, too late to resist.

Asuna had to do something fast if she didn't want to end up losing to the hold, already feeling a bad pressure on her neck. After being trapped she continued shifting her weight forward, pushing onto Megumi. She placed her hands on the girl's shoulders, pushing down for a pinfall attempt hoping that Megumi would need to release her to fight back against it, with Asuna's body shifting forward the angle at her legs held the choke would only help Asuna wrap her up for a pinfall.

Now putting Asuna in the triangle choke, Megumi would squeeze her around her neck, looking to choke her and cut off her oxygen supply. "Grrghhh..." she groaned as she would keep applying pressure in the hold, hoping that she could make her opponent tap out or at least weaken her in preparation for a finishing blow. But then, Asuna still managed to figure out a way out of this hold despite having her neck squeezed like that as she moved Megumi into a position where her shoulders were pressed against the canvas, and with Asuna shifting her body forward, she managed to put the former Wrestle Angel in a pinfall position.

"ONE!"

Knowing that she might lose from this, Megumi would quickly unwrap her legs from Asuna's neck, releasing her from the triangle choke. She would then try to push Asuna away, giving herself some breathing room to recover and regain her bearing. Hopefully, she would be able to get herself back on her feet after squeezing her opponent's neck with the triangle choke earlier.

Asuna managed to push forward against Megumi, despite the lack of air due to the choke and as the referee started the count Megumi would unwrap her legs from the wrestler's neck and push Asuna way from her. asuna gasped and fell on her back, out of breath due to the strong squeeze on her neck earlier. Megumi was getting more and more threatening. Every time Asuna seemed to get an advantage on the ground Megumi found a way to get out of the tough spot or even turn it back at her opponent.

Asuna, however, wasn't giving up yet, and if given some time she would scramble up to her feet. This time she would simply put up a defensive position, not yet feeling ready to attack, instead hoping she could counter whatever Megumi decided to come at her with, and maybe secure a real advantage on her.

Shaking her head, Megumi would get herself back on her feet, her brown hair disheveled from the scuffle that she had with her opponent, Asuna. Despite still feeling sore, she knew that she had to press on as she would close in, approaching Asuna to grab her body. Considering that Asuna might be weakened from the triangle choke earlier, Megumi decided to take advantage of this as she would try to drive her knee into her midsection, hoping to knock some air out of her lungs, leaving her breathless.

Megumi planned to twist around while still holding Asuna's body, hoping to flip her over, throwing her onto the mat back first. Hopefully, with the knee strike and the slam, Asuna would be more docile for her to deal with, thus giving her more advantage over her opponent in this match. Still, she had to be careful, considering that she herself was a little exhausted after their exchanges earlier.
