Debuts and Redebuts- Hoshiko Zawiślak vs Cassandra Selinofoto

Oh how satisfying it was- to land blow after blow on Hoshiko after the younger woman had rubbed it in just a minute ago with painful strikes to her face with the bare soles of her feet.

Cassandra was not sure how she was still standing, she had to be concussed for sure. Her face was sore, her back was sore, her arms were sore. She was aching all over, but as she’d lick her lips- lips that had just recently been kissed- Cassandra spit to the side of the ring.

She knew what was driving her.

Kate was watching.

Kate, who had always been there for her despite only knowing her for a short time. Kate, who had gotten with someone she had been smitten by in her early days, but was just so.. nice, that Cassandra couldn’t even fathom harbouring a hint of resentment for her.

Kate.. who was the first person she had slept with.

.. and here she was, fighting her younger sister- not even bothering to do it properly. For a second, as Hoshiko recovered into her battle stance and Cassandra paced the ring, she’d look away.

Her fighting posture was gone, as she’d walk over to the ropes, look at the crowd. Hoshiko wouldn’t attack her with her back turned, she trusted the younger girl who she was starting to feel a sense of camaraderie for with that much at least. She’d take a breath. Then another. Then rub her eyes, wiping away some tears that had started to form. It was time to make a decision.

“Hoshiko.”

She’d say, addressing her opponent.

“There’s just you and me in here, right?”

Her fingers curled against the ropes, as she lightly rocked her body from side to side, eyeing the flash of purple in the crowd instead. Hesitantly, she smiled. Not at her. She still didn’t think she could face her, but..

“Im.. tired of thinking.

I’m gonna fight for myself now.”

She’d roll over and turn to face Hoshiko. Stamping her feet, she’d zone the crowd out and focus on the shorter woman, starting to walk up to her, her gloves unclasping. They hit the ground, as- now bare knuckled, she’d lightly rest her fist against Hoshiko’s lips, “stealing” a kiss for good luck.

“How about we do this until one of us can’t move, hm?”

A shy, bashful smile did come across her face. She was being silly and she knew it. It didn’t mean Cassandra was fixed, but it did mean that the old Cassandra was shining through the cracks of the stone heart made by the Ghost.

Hoshiko was getting ready for another exchange when she saw Cassandra walk to the ropes instead, letting her guard down at first in confusion but then smiling as she heard what she said. "No one else but us, not today" She replied, though she knew she didn't have to say anything but it felt like the right thing and Cass finally seemed to be shaking off a bit of her malaise, a spark of what Hosihiko expected shining through the tiny cracks.

"Finaly you dummy! And here I thought I have to knock some sense into you." She said, removing her own gloves and throwing them to the side. She wanted to say something else but she got stopped by Cass's hand, she'd give a small kiss on her knuckles and grinned. "Two people, dancing till we drop, sounds like a hell of an evening to me." She'd add, taking a step back and getting ready, she could already feel the next week of aches but hell, it would be worth it!

Hoshiko.

Cass hadn’t really given her too much of a thought until now, but looking back upon it.. she was good. Her skills weren’t bad at all, her body was great and.. she was fun to be around.

She was a good re debut.

Clasping her fist, Cassandra rose her hands over her head in a practised stance, squaring right up with her. The cold wind of the arena brushed against her flesh, painted with sweat.

“Our fists are gonna do the rest of the talking now!”

Cass lunged like a wild tiger attacking her prey. Both hands clenched up, she’d duck down and swing both of her arms up for an impromptu uppercut, to drive both of her knuckles right deep into her belly, to make her stomach sore! Almost a quick double liver shots, using the fact that she was quick to take a step back.

And then, Cass unleashed hell upon Hoshi. Swinging a left hook right at her jaw, ducking down to avoid the next attack and finishing up her combo with a sharp swinging kick right into Hoshi’s abdomen!

Cass was fast, there was no way around that and even though Hoshiko did not lag behind, Cass deciding when they'd start did not give her time to react to the first move as the woman went to strike twice at her stomach. The impact earned her an audible huff of exertion as Hoshiko tensed with a strike, taking a half step back just like Cassandra, allowing her to dodge the kick just by leaning back an inch or two before she'd step back.

As she approached, she would eat the next kick right into her side, folding around it a bit and grimacing in pain but smirking despite it. To her, that kick was a gift and she'd use it well as she'd pull Cass in to catch her with a back elbow. If successful with that she'd step in, grabbing her opponent with both hands, releasing her leg and attempting to throw her to the ground with a hane-goshi!

Cass’s strikes landed- but not hard enough and not strong enough to put Hoshi down. She wasn’t done just yet, and fortunately- Hoshi could keep up with her well. An elbow caught her jaw, and sent her reeling.. but Hoshiko had dropped her leg and suddenly gripped her tightly. Cass ground herself onto the canvas, yanking herself backwards in a daze. Her lip was softly dribbling with blood, a gentle red dash.

”Hey.. you sure like touching my lips a lot. That an invitation?”

She’d wink at her, and then put too much force into her pull back to avoid the flip. And THEN she pushed herself right into Hoshi, banging her forehead into her kisser, and delivering a right devious shove to make her stagger! Arms around the shorter woman’s waist, Cass would aim to haul her up and shove her to the ground, clambering on top and clenching her fist, ready to ground pound her face into something resembling ground beef!

Hoshiko managed to catch Cass and land some blows but despite that the woman would not go down or heaven yield to the throw, instead using how they were bound up to land a headbutt to Hoshiko's face, cracking her nose just slightly but enough to make her bleed as she tried to stumble back before being taken down to the ground by the woman!

"Thh... Thought it was obvious." She replied before eating a fist square to her head, the back of it hitting the mat once, then again with another strike, making Hoshiko's sight foggy. Knowing she needed to act fast now she would get one leg on the outside of how Cass's were placed, then buck her hips, grab her opponent's wrists and turn them over.

She would not however try to go for the pounding of her own, as tempting as it was, instead getting to her feet and dragging the other woman up to a sitting position. There she would waste no time, jumping up and kicking both her feet into Cassandra's face for a trapped drop kick!

Cass was.. okay, Cass was more than a little dense at times, specially when she wasn’t instigating the trouble. Her fingers clenched, and she began to knock some sense into the little squirt underneath her- in a far more harsh manner than anyone would have presumed. Bang, bang, BANG- her fists exploded at her face like cannons but..

Only one landed.

The comment thought, caught her off guard.

”.. you mean it or something? You got a cruuuuushhh??”

Cass teased her, and due to it- lost the advantageous position. Hips twisting, Hoshiko swung Cass to the side and slammed her into the mat with a loud thud, twisting her wrist. She’d wince just a bit, instinctively bringing her hands up to protect her face but..

That was no mere punch that awaited her.

A drop kick slammed into her face, sending her REELING. The force from the kicks rolled Cass over, onto her back, and then rolled her again until she was flat on her face. Blood spurted from her mouth as she gasped, the familiar iron tinge seeping from her nose and lips.

“.. a-augh..”

She couldn’t even must a quip up after that one, doing everything in her power to get to her knees, her body shuddering from the exertion.. blows to the head left her reeling, you know!

"Maybe a little~" Hoshiko teased in response to Casse's words though she was not quite sure if the woman could hear her over the ringing in her ears from the latest kick though there were some more waiting for her in the near future. Not wanting to give her opponent too much time to recover, Hoshiko went over to where Cassandra was lying down and struggling to get up. Being the helpful sort that she was, she would place her foot under the other woman's chin and lift her head up, smirking. "You look kinda cute all beaten up"

After saying the last part, she would lean down, grab the woman under her armpits and hold her close before slamming her knee three separate times into the woman's stomach, making sure to hold the last one tight against the woman's body for a second after the attack itself before trying to lock her arms behind her back to toss her with a belly to belly suplex!

“A-ahn.. ngh..”

The kick was causing wedding bells to go off in Cass’s head- literally. Loud, painful ringing, as she just barely got to her hands and knees, before collapsing down to the earth. A foot rested against her chin, as Hoshiko slowly lifted her head, her foot was tainted with some vicious red.

Of course, Cass had a bit of a.. blush. When she was called cute- it had been a while since she had compliments like that. But.. Hoshiko gripped her by her armpits, lifting her to her feet.. and then WHAM.

A painful blow dug into her abs. Harsh, but if it had just been one, Cass could take it. But a second one- trained and practiced to perfection dug the spot again, weakening her abs. It made her wheeze, clutching to Hoshi. But.. a final strike speared into her body, pain thundering through her mind. Spit and blood spewed from her mouth, as Cass closed her eyes, her knees shaking.

“N-ngh .. ow, ow.. owh..”

She hadn’t gone up against a mma fighter before. Sure she had taken rough blows before, but Hoshiko was on a whole other level in terms of strikes as compared to the self taught Cassandra. Her submission game was better but.. it wasn’t helping her when Hoshi locked her arms behind her back- and made the Butterfly fly. She’d toss her through the skies and made her crash right into the canvas, bouncing off..

And then bouncing into the ropes. She’d stagger. Get to her feet. Then she’d take a step back and fall down sideways, crashing down, an arm on the ropes.. but the way her fingers were gripping it, Cass still had some fight left in her.

It was made evident as she coughed, sputtering out some blood. Her vision swam, but.. she was determined to not lose like this.

Her friend was watching. Someone she saw as a sister was watching. How could she? Painfully, she’d pull herself into a half sitting, half standing position.. one leg- the one Hoshi had bruised earlier was kneeling, and the other one was supporting her weight. She’d huff, licking her lips, her face painfully white.

“.. I’m.. still standing..”

Hoshiko turned on the ground, pushing up and getting her legs under her before jumping to her feet, seeing Cass stubbornly cling to consciousness. There certainly was something admirable about that kind of determination, she wasn't even standing up fully but just refused to stay down and that was something Hoshiko just had to respect. Not to mention her own head felt light, edges starting to blur from both the exertion of this fight and the damage she took, she might be the one standing now but it wasn't far from being the other way around, maybe it still could be.

Hearing what Cass said, Hoshiko would just nod. taking a step forward before breaking into a dash. She would now try to slam her knee into Cassandra's face at full speed, hoping to slam its back against one of the turnbuckles. Some could see it as needlessly brutal in the circumstance but Hoshiko knew better than to celebrate before the battle was over and even if she could be sure of the outcome, the respect demanded that she treat her opponent like a threat until the very end
