Sarabeth Chummers vs. Sakura Hagiwara: Lioness vs. Idol!

Sarabeth felt Sakura’s back fully connect with her knee as the Young Lioness grunted releasing the former idol on the canvas. Sarabeth tried hitting multiple elbows to the back as she thought over what to do next. She had to keep Sakura grounded which is something Alania taught her against high-flyers. Sarabeth got up starting to kick Sakura down on her stomach while she thought up another plan. She couldn’t afford to keep stomping forever as Sakura could easily grab her foot and counter so Sarabeth simply grabbed Sakura in a Anaconda Vice hold trying to wear out Sakura on the ground!

Dropping down hard onto Sarabeth's knee back first Sakura would wince an cry out in pain as she fell from the girl's limb immediately clutching her back after the powerful blow. Despite the level of damage she had taken leaving her helpless on the mat though Sarabeth didn't seem to have much of a plan for follow up. Well short of throwing elbows and stomps against her back to keep her down. "Ngh! Agh!" She cried out in pain before Sarabeth evidently settled on trying to lock in a anaconda vice submission! "Ngh!" Sakura groaned out in the hold, kicking her legs against the mat for a bit as she struggled in the hold!

Sarabeth wasn’t sure if she could hold Sakura down for this long, but anything to keep the former idol down. She switched things up sitting on Sakura’s back and clamping both hands around the chin for a tight Camel Clutch. Sarabeth pulled back hard and the crowd was getting behind the Young Lioness as much as they were Sakura. They saw her heart was in the match. It reminded them of Sakura’s humble beginnings even though she was on the losing side a lot.

Sakura grunted and groaned slightly as she was locked into the anaconda vice by the girl. 'Damn.' Sakura thought to herself, kicking her legs against the mat, not sure how she'd get out of this.. But she wouldn't have to worry for long before Sarabeth changed tactics and switched the hold to a camel clutch! "Agh!" Sakura cried out n pain, though despite the pain of the hold.. it was one Sakura had far more familiarity with as she curled her arms around Sara's legs before pulling up and twisting to the side, trying to take the girl off her feet and down to her back! If it worked then Sakura would lift her lower body up and over herself, using her hold on Sara's legs to fold the girl in half while pressing her feet into the mat behind Sara's head, trying to reverse things with a jackknife pin!

“1! 2!” The referee would count coming down hard with her hands as Sarabeth gasped having to cheat a little bit in order to get further in this match.

Sarabeth reached forward real quick and raked the eyes of Sakura to hopefully break the hold! The referee would notice this as Sarabeth would roll away and the official would give her a little bit of a scolding of her action. Sarabeth placed her hands up in defense as she saw Sakura with her visioned blurred due to Sarabeth’s clawing. Sarabeth took a moment to catch her breath and think through her next actions.

Success! Sakura managed to successfully take Sara off her feet and reverse the submission into a pinfall attempt and with how tangled up the two wre, Sakura didn't think there was much of anything Sarabeth could do to get out of this! Well... fairly at least. Before Sakura knew it she felt a pair of nails digging into her eyes! "AGH!" Sakura cried out in pain, releasing Sarabeth and rolling away while clutching her eyes which had teared up immediately and blurred, leaving her stunned!

Sarabeth tried heading over to Sakura and wrap up one of her arms between her legs. Sarabeth then dove over Sakura and tries executing a La Magistral rollup pin. She figured that Sakura would be too focused on trying to regain vision to kick out. Technically, this was cheesing out a win if this succeeded, but Sarabeth was willing to take it until she could give Sakura a fair rematch when she eventually got better. Sarabeth wasn’t taking a loss and she meant it!

Sakura was shocked by the sudden rake of her eyes. Not just from the actual pain of it, but the sheer fact that Sarabeth had done it when she didn't give the impression to be that type! Unfortunately for the idol Sarabeth wouldn't give her any time to process it as she came right over her, grabbing her and locking her into a magistral pinfall! "NGH! Not like this!" Sakura shouted, wrapping an arm around Sara's leg before twisting her hips to the side, relying on pure instinct as she tried to roll on top of Sarabeth while holding onto her leg, putting practically all her weight onto the girl's chest and face for a reversal pin of her own!

[Pegasus]

Sarabeth gasped as Sakura reversed the pinfall as she couldn’t move quick enough for the referee to count the three for Sakura! The bell rang as Sarabeth got on her knees and buried her hands on her head getting so close to victory in that one. She had Sakura! Yet another match where victory got stripped from her so soon and it was a close whiff of smoke that she could almost taste the victory. Sarabeth just sighed in disappointment as the referee raised Sakura’s hand in victory!

Victory. It tasted especially sweet tonight, despite the fact Sakura was only up against a lioness. Thats how close the last moments were, but as Sakura stood and accepted the praise for winning with her hand raised, there was one thing she had to do. Turning towards a clearly dejected Sarabeth the idol would approach the green haired girl, standing over her with her hands on her hips. "Don't be sad, you fought really well." Sakura said softly... Before coming in with the inevitable. "But... raking my eyes was a low thing to do.. I'd advise not relying on things like that." Sakura said in a gentle but stern tone before extending her hand out to Sarabeth, trying to be the bigger woman over it.
