LAW Apex Match: Lyra Heartfield vs. Peggy McIntyre

[Pegasus]

Lyra juggled her mind to focus on gaining control, but despite her torn back from earlier, Peggy fought through the pain and sent a few knees up into Lyra’s gut making her spit out saliva. Lyra felt herself flipped forward and a knee bent into her back locked up in a tight chin lock! Lyra thrashed her arms around, but the ropes were out of her reach and she couldn’t get to them. The referee got on one knee to make sure Lyra was either keeping her fight going or letting it die out. Lyra would try to work her way back to her feet in order to hit three elbows to Peggy’s gut in order to get her to let go!

Peggy shook her head as Lyra began to rise up to her feet! "No! Nooooooo!" Peggy screamed as she shook her head. The elbow strikes came and as the third connected Peggy let go! "Oomph!" She groaned as she hobbled back cradling her abdomen and doubled over. Peggy was hobbling about on limp legs as her thighs and backside trembled with each step. She had let a chance go and she was disappointed that the hold hadn't done more...

Lyra wasn’t going down without a fight when it mattered the most here at the biggest event she was competing in. She came in just under a year ago and took on some of the best LAW had so far. Peggy wasn’t a slouch despite her record and Lyra knew it would be a tough battle, but she wasn’t going to let the crowd down that wanted to see her succeed. The fans that supported Peggy chanted “SLAM HER! SLAM HER! SLAM HER!” trying to hype the Irish lass up as they felt she was an underrated talent in LAW. When Peggy released the chinlock, Lyra tried grabbing Peggy onto her shoulders while still on her knees hoping for a Fireman’s Carry Slam. If that worked, Lyra would get back in the driver’s seat of the match picking up Peggy while trying to bounce off the ropes hoping to hit a Flying Crossbody, but Peggy could catch her as well!

Peggy shook her head as she groaned, lift up across Lyra's shoulders and sent crashing to the mat! "ARGH!" Peggy moaned and kicked in pain before being dragged back up to her feet. Peggy groaned as she watched Lyra run and bounce off the ropes. Peggy saw her flying at her and she steadied herself, reaching out and grabbing hold of the flying wrestler lifting her up and spinning to powerslam her down to the canvas as hard as she could!

"How'd ya like that one lass!?" Peggy shouted, standing up and flexing her biceps while stomping down on Lyra!

Lyra gasped as Peggy was able to capture her just as she tried flying into her. The Irish wrestler turned them both around in a fast circle before hitting Lyra with a Powerslam! Lyra cried out in pain as she grabbed her back and the fans of Peggy cheered their heads off as Peggy flexed her muscles to them. She started stomping down on the fortune teller as Lyra screamed in agony as the referee had to get Peggy to step off a little bit so she didn’t overstep her boundaries. Lyra rolled away, but the pain was catching up to her as she wasn’t sure how much more she could handle. If Peggy pinned her, it would only be a two count, but she knew time was of the essence and she had to turn this around now if she wanted to win!

Peggy saw how well the powerslam did and she made her way over to Lyra to keep her from getting away. "Ya got more comin' lass!" Peggy said as she pulled Lyra up by the hair and slammed her with a body punch before grabbing her around the shoulder and between the legs. Peggy looked to scoop her up and spin before slamming her down in the middle of the ring! The crowd was booing Peggy so naturally she wanted to flex and strut about again to troll those in the crowd booing her.

Lyra felt the punch and groaned as Peggy picked her up by the blonde hair getting yanked around and lifted. Peggy spun around a lot more this time as Lyra was getting dizzy by the moment before the ground met her back again in another strong slam! Lyra cried out in pain getting treated like a jobber as Peggy parades around pissing off Lyra’s fans and the fans she gathered from Sanae’s fan base that supported their love. Lyra knew this couldn’t stand! She was just being treated like a ragdoll and had to show Peggy up. The fortune teller propped herself on her hands and knees hoping to fight through the pain.

Lyra ran hunkered over as she wrapped her arms around Peggy’s waist. She would try lifting Peggy for a Snap German Suplex and actually bridge it into a pin hoping to arch herself some to get the referee to see Peggy’s arms pinned! The referee would get down near Peggy’s head to count.

“1!”

"UGH!" Peggy was grabbed and taken by surprise as she was sent crashing down to the mat, groaning as she was being pinned down to the canvas. Peggy was hurting and in shock at this turn of events.

"TWO!"

Peggy howled and thrust hard to the side, breaking the pin and flopping down to the mat. She covered her head in her arms and kicked the mat in pain after breaking the pin, still feeling the effects of the painful offense of Lyra.

Lyra needed to capitalize even after Peggy broken the pin she had on her as the fortune teller would get back to her feet and wipe some sweat off her body. She tried sending some elbow strikes down on Peggy's back in order to keep the Irish lass down for now. Lyra would keep at it until she felt that Peggy would stay down since she knew her opponent was persistent and resilient. Lyra would then try wrapping her arms around Peggy's waist to lift her up from the ground hoping for another German Suplex, but she had to slowly do it in order to make it precise. It gave Peggy some time to find an opening to counter if she could find it in time!

Peggy grunted and groaned as each elbow strike hit her back, driving her down to the mat. She kicked the canvas in pain as she felt herself being pulled up again. This was bad and she needed to do something otherwise she was going to crash to the mat again! Peggy reached her leg around Lyra's to hook it and prevent the lift while swinging her elbows back into Lyra's head to try to hammer her way free. If Peggy could get free of Lyra's grasp she would spin around and extend her arm attempting to connect with a discus clothesline!
