A Day At The Beach (for ReticentOne)

Slowly, the two of them got back up to their feet, Karen did so hurriedly, not wanting to be left vulnerable on the sand for the other girl to attack. To her surprise, however, the scarred girl held off on attacking her further, seemingly focusing instead on catching her breath and recuperating. Glaring hatefully at the Romanian, Karen nonetheless took the opportunity to get back to her feet as well, not letting her guard down.

It was then that the other girl spoke up, demanding her name. She accompanied it with an insult, of course, but she had nonetheless asked for her name, and the least Karen could do was answer.

"Karen Fucking Gale!" she spat back. "And I'll make you fucking remember it! How about you, Scarbitch? Do you have a name? I want to know who to bill for a wrecked surfboard!"

"You're a Karen, huh? Not surprising. No wonder you want to bill me for a fight you started." Enrieta responded making light of her name. Enrieta was ready to counter attack the moment her foe resumed hostilities.

"My name's Enrieta Rosu and I'd say you should worry less about your wrecked surfboard and more about not becoming a wrecked surfboarder." Enrieta smirked, while holding a boxing stance.

As Karen circled the Romanian, two things happened. First, the other girl finally gave her name: Enrieta. It sounded like the name of some stuck up, snobbish Eastern European princess, which described this scarred bitch aptly. But secondly...the other girl went and did it. She called her a Karen

Years of hazing back at the U of Wellington came back to the fore. Years of wanting to change her name because of an unfortunate internet meme, and somehow persevering through it. And now, this stupid bitch who had just broken her surfboard without provocation had the nerve to call her a Karen?!!

With a wordless yell, Karen lunged at Enrieta, ready to deliver a brutal right hook to her opponent's jaw!

Enrieta had been preparing to counter attack an angry charge to conclude their short conversation from the moment that it had begun, so dodging the wild right hook wasn't all too difficult.

She used her speed to duck left below the right hook, while shuffling around Karen, before targeting a stiff right handed punch at the woman's back, aiming for her right kidney.

Karen was acting without thinking now as she lunged right at Enriete, wanting nothing more than to clobber this girl for her taunting. And so it was that she barrelled right towards the Romanian, swinging at her for a brutal right hook...

...only for the scarred girl to duck, spinning around Karen. As the Maori girl stumbled, wrong footed, Enrieta's punch slammed into her kidney. Pain exploded along Karen's back, and she stumbled, nearly falling, as Enrieta's blow found its mark.

Enrieta couldn't help but smile as her fist swung forward, landing a kidney punch square at a foe's back in the midst of a fight was a treat. It hit with all the force she intended, sending the woman stumbling forward, unable in the moment to protect herself.

It put Enrieta in a position she had fought to be in throughout their battle. It seemed all that was nessecary to get what she desired was one more debilitating strike.

So the Romanian reached her left hand outward to grab on to Karen's hair and pull her head back. Then in one brutal motion she'd lift her right arm up for a European uppercut to the back of Karen's head.

Then, she'd aim to hook her arms under Karen's and perform a quick sit-out chicken facebuster, for no purpose other than for the Flying Snake attempt to transition into her cruelest finishing submission hold: Paralyzing Venom!

Karen's back was in a world of pain at this point after that brutal kidney punch. She very nearly collapsed to her knees, breathing hard from that brutal strike. Unfortunately for her, her pain didn't end there: vulnerable as she was, she was in no position to strike back as her hair was suddenly yanked. She gave a cry of pain as she was wrenched backwards, before a heavy blow to the back of her skull sent her tumbling down to her hands and knees, groaning.

At this point, her dark skin shone with sweat from this grueling bout. The only thing that kept her from falling down completely was Enrieta sliding her arms under her own; the next Karen knew, she was lifted up and slammed face-first into the ground! The fact that she was hitting sand did a lot to soften the blow, but all the same, Karen was now facedown in the dirt, vulnerable to whatever Enrieta had planned next...

The forearm to the back of Karen's head had the desired effect compounding her inability to fight back against Enrieta, which allowed the Romanian to hook her arms underneath her enemy's with no resistance for the chicken wing facebuster.

Being on sand, the move was be as painful as it otherwise would be, but the move it's self wasn't intended as the main means of damage, but to set up a submission hold.

As Enrieta sat, she would move to fold Karen's legs and rest them between between her shoulders, then reach down to grab the woman's chin with both of her hands. Her tanned opponent had put Enrieta at her mercy with a backbreaking hold. Now was the time to return the favour!


"Admit that you're a Karen and apologize, or I'll snap your back in half like your board!" Enrieta demanded. Was Karen Gale too prideful to surrender? If she was, that wasn't the Romanian Viper's problem.

Karen's face was pressed against the sand now, and she felt grains of it filling her mouth as she breathed. Instinctivelty, she turned her head to the side and spat it out; she had taken worse in previous fights, but there was no denying that she still felt dizzy after having been slammed face-first into the dirt like that. Groaning, she tried to muster the willpower to push herself back up.

Unfortunately, Enrieta was already behind her, folding her bare legs over one another and leaning against them to keep them pressed down. The next thing she knew, she felt Enrieta leaning over her, and then suddenly her chin was being yanked back, lifting her upper body off the sand. Karen had to admit, it was a VERY good submission hold, and despite herself, she soon found herself screaming in pain, her arms pawing uselessly at Enrieta's arms. Her upper body was being stretched cruelly, her chest and abs curving backwards and straining against her yellow bathing suit as her spine was conorted.

"AAAAAAH!" she cried, her bare feet kicking against the sand. She felt hot tears burn in her eyes. She wanted nothing more than to tap out, to give...even though there was no ref to force the match to stop and--

Wait a minute. This wasn't a match, and they weren't fighting in a ring. And above all, there was no ref....

Karen felt around with one hand and pressed a palm against the ground. Grabbing a handful of sand, she swung her fist up, hoping to throw a fistful of sand into Enrieta's eyes, hoping to make her let go!

If Enrieta needed any confirmation that her hold was having it's intended effect, Karen's screams of pain were it. No doubt they were driven by both the pain she was feeling and the fact that from this position it was only a matter of pulling long and and hard enough to fulfill the Flying Snake's promise to snap Karen's back like her board.

Indeed, when she refused to submit to her demand, or even attempt to tap, that was exactly what Enrieta resolved to do to her. The bitch deserved it, as she was clearly willing to do it to her. That was before she took on a mouth full of sand flung into the air out of desperation.

Enrieta had no choice but to let go of the hold so she could turn her head down to spit out the sand beside her while still sitting.

After she did, she sighed. The only thing that had saved her foe from being broken in two, given her intransigence, was an open mouth.

"Holy shit, Karen, you seriously preferred I break your back to accepting being a Karen and apologizing for nearly hitting me with your board, then attacking me?" Enrieta said. As much as she still wanted to hurt Karen until she wouldn't, or couldn't, keep fighting, she preferred not having to break her back, at least without an arena full of spectators, rather than some beach on lookers, to witness it and give her notoriety.
