Yukino Fuyumi vs. Carolina Reine Youngren - Apex Qualifier Match

Nashi could only stand back and watch as Carolina brutalized Yukino! As Carolina raised her up to slam her on the apron, Nashi covered her mouth in tears fearing that could’ve been broken apart of her body! Nashi’s eyes widen she could only imagine the pain her best went through. It was even worse when Carolina mocked at her”When this is over…. You’re dead Carolina!” Nashi shouted back at her opponent with her eyes having nothing but pure hatred as she balled her hand into a fist.


However the impossible had happened. Despite the pain Yukino went through she had the strength to roll back into the ring causing Nashi to jump for joy! But it soon turned to dread as Carolina went for a splash. Nashi’s body stopped fearing this could be the end of the fight but then…. Yukino raised her leg up and kicked that jerk straight the gut! The crowd cheered on Yukino and so did Nashi”PERFECT YUKINO NOW GIVE HER HELL!!! she shouted at her friend so loud the most of the crowd could hear as all Nashi could do was jump and cheer on Yukino!

Up to this point, Yukino had been on the back foot of this match. She was doing a respectable job of holding her own against Carolina, but it couldn't be denied that the blonde had her outweighed, and she was ferocious enough to give Yukino a run for her money. But Yukino knew that if this blow landed, she would be done for. When Carolina had so much force about to come crashing down on her, she didn't stand a chance. That would almost certainly take her out of the match, then and there. But her body was sore, and she was laden down with fatigue. She didn't think she had it in her to keep going, even to get away...but if it was this or a crushing defeat, she would at least try! And sure enough, it turned out that survival instinct was all the motivation Yukino needed. Just as Carolina was about to make her landing, the idol kicked up with her legs - and deflected her aside!

When she heard the entire arena light up with a cheer, Yukino almost couldn't believe it. Against such impossible odds, it seemed unthinkable that her last-ditch efforts would actually work. She slowly rose to a seated position, and her jaw dropped in a gasp when she saw the fruits of her labor. Not only did it work, it worked beautifully - Carolina had been thrown back against the ropes, and just moments later she went toppling over the edge to the ground below!

It seemed like something out of a dream. When the referee started counting, though, that was what told Yukino that what she saw was very real. It was real, and it was all thanks to her! A grin grew across her face, and with the knowledge that she had won such hard-fought success, she was grasped by a second wind. Finding strength she didn't know she had, Yukino pushed herself up a little further, getting to her feet. There, she looked back at Nashi with a nod of her head in her friend's direction. Now that Carolina was down, it was time for Yukino to make her move - and she wasn't going to waste it!

"Don't worry, Nashi! This one's for you!" She took off running across the ring, closing in on the other side. The crowd cheered even louder to see that Yukino had such spirits in her - and when she hit her mark, she would grab hold of the ropes, vaulting over them, and going to crash onto Carolina on the outside with a suicide dive!

Carolina would slowly, but surely get to her feet as the the referee's count reached six. Though at first she used the ring apron to help climb to her feet, she soon founder herself stepping back from it. She had lost sight of Yukino and too disoriented by pain to think to look around, her first fear was getting her head curbstomped against the apron. However while she was correct to fear an attack from Isljoninna, she unwittingly set herself up for Yukino's actual intentions. When Carolina finally caught sight of her opponent, she was flying through the air for a suicide dive.

She crashed into Carolina with incredible force, more than enough to do plenty of damage on its own, but again matters were bad worse by the direction it sent her in, backwards into the steel barricades beside the ring. Isljoninna couldn't help but scream yet again on impact, her already tender back had less than a moment of respite. She sunk down to the floor again writing in pain. She felt for all the damage a curb stomp could have done to her head, at the very least she'd more likely than not been knocked out by it, instead of having to experience what felt like her back being lit on fire.

Carolina was on her way back to her feet. She was determined that this wouldn't be much more than an inconvenient setback for her - that soon enough she would be back in the ring, ready to pay Yukino back for her tricks. But she wouldn't get to appreciate being back on her feet for long. While she had lay dazed, Yukino was gearing up for a comeback - and as soon as Carolina looked back up, it was to see the white-haired girl plummeting down toward her, ready to tackle her off her feet!

With the sound of a clang, both Yukino and Carolina went down in a heap outside the ring. The fans at ringside jumped away from the barricade as Carolina fell against it, screaming in a panic; with her weight and the force of the impact, the collision was enough to knock the barricades out of position, pushing them inward into the seating area! Yukino, on the other hand, fell back from Carolina, getting on her hands and knees as she panted to catch her breath.

Seeing that both women were outside the ring now, the referee began another count. "One! Two!" But Yukino didn't intend to stay down for long! Even when she took slow, heavy breaths to try and collect herself, she had tasted success in taking the fight to Carolina - and she was hungry for more. A confident grin crossed her face - if she had scored such a blow against Carolina, then she knew she could pull off more where that came from! Grabbing the blonde by the wrist, Yukino pulled herself to her feet, trying to drag Carolina up with her. She groaned and clenched her teeth, straining to move such a bigger woman - but if she could bring her up, she would turn and throw Carolina toward the ring, trying to hurl her into the apron with an Irish whip!

The last thing Carolina wanted to experience this attack against her back to continue like this. She had already fallen back first against the ring apron, now she had been pushed so hard into the steel barricades that it pushed the row of fans behind her backwards. While she knew she was going to be sore for awhile after this match, she felt certain that if Yukino kept at this, it wouldn't be to long before the smaller girl managed to significantly injure her.

Three! The count went on.

Yet here Yukino was, pulling her up, not to drag her into the ring and attempt to get a three count out of her, something Carolina was barely in condition to kick out of, but to fling her into the ring apron with an Irish Whip.

Carolina back may have been under great stress, but Carolina's legs and arms on their own had plenty of fight left in them, even if the damage in between obviously harmed their effectiveness. When Yukino tried to whip her, The Northern Lioness attempted, with all her compromised might, to reverse the whip and send Yukino into the ring apron instead. Successful or not, the maneuver would take plenty out of Carolina.

Yukino knew that being thrown against the barricades had taken a lot out of Carolina, but she wasn't content to stop there. She had to bring the hurt! She'd spent too much of this match getting pushed around and battered, and now, she wanted to make a statement about the things she was truly capable of. It wouldn't be enough to just counter Carolina's charge - she had to show what it looked like when Yukino was in charge of the offense! Even if her body was sore, and she was starting to develop bruises from all the blows her opponent had landed against her, Yukino's adrenaline was pushing her to her limits and beyond. She was willing to jump back up and keep fighting, if that was what it took to prove herself to Kira, and everyone else who was watching!

Yukino grabbed Carolina by the wrist, attempting to haul her back to her feet to whip her into the apron. After the success she had just seen, she was confident she could achieve anything. But she was getting ahead of herself - and Carolina was about to set the matter straight. No matter how energized Yukino might have been, she was still a lot smaller than the blonde. In any sort of situation like this, Carolina would be able to take control - and that was just what she did, as she pulled back with her arm and shot Yukino back at the ring!

In an instant, the proud look on Yukino's face turned to a gasp as her jaw dropped open in shock. Suddenly, it wasn't her who was in control of her own motions! She went taking off faster than she could keep track of as her feet propelled her across the floor, running her straight into the apron herself! Suddenly, a loud clang rang out as the air was knocked out of Yukino, and she dropped backward into a sitting position, her head spinning as she groaned in a daze. And the ref was still counting!

"Four! Five!"

Carolina heard the referee's count and yet she almost couldn't care less. Not so long ago she was standing triumphant on the apron teasing Nashi about what she had done to her friend. Only or it to be followed up by a suddent reversal and a cascade of pain. She had just managed to save her self from more damage to her back, be reminding Yukino which of the two of them was bigger and stronger.

"Six!"

At this point, however, winning wasn't first and foremost on her mind. She knew if she climbed back into ring and went back and forth with Yukino, at best it was even odds in her current condition that she'd come out on top. But with Yukino sitting in front of the apron, winded, with her back turned to her, a wicked thought thought crossed Carolina's mind. She may not be able to beat Yukino, but she could certainly break her.

"Seven!"

The Northern Lioness quickly looked in Nashi's direction, hoping she wouldn't be able to warn Yukino in time as she lined up her prey. Then suddenly Carolina charged towards the seated Yukino, her aim was no less than to drive her knee into the smaller woman's head!

Nashi was cheering Yukino thinking this was her moment to shine! Until Carolina striked back! Yukino was now dazed meaning this could give Carolina the one step she needed to finish the match. In a moment of pure fear Nashi shouted”YUKINO GET OUT OF THERE!!!” Nashi shouted with everything she could muster. All she could pray now was Yukino hearing it and moving out the way in time.

The apron was the hardest part of the ring - and Yukino had just had her back slammed directly into it. As her face contorted into a pained wince, she sank lower, a stinging sensation running along her spine from where she landed. Just thinking about it too hard was enough to remind her of how much she hurt, and that only sent another throbbing sensation through her body; she hugged her arms closer to herself and shuddered. She knew that the clock was ticking, but she didn't know if she had it in her to get back up. But right now, the clock wasn't her biggest concern - not by a long shot!

Just then, Yukino heard Nashi call out to her - and when she looked up, she saw Carolina lunging toward her with her knee outstretched, about to ram it into her skull! The white-haired girl let out a scream; she knew that if this hit, she would be done for for sure! For a moment, her whole body froze up in terror. But then, she realized it. Nashi had given her the warning right when she needed it most. Yukino only had a second to make her move, but now she was shaken back to her senses in time to do it. And that one second could make all the difference!

Yukino might have hurt, but she knew that the alternative would hurt a lot more - and the surge of adrenaline that took hold of her was enough to get her to move! She rolled in through the ropes, ducking back into the ring just in time - and leaving Carolina to collide with the apron instead!

Carolina wasn't thinking all that clearly when she rushed towards Yukino. All she had in mind was charging toward her foe and slamming her knee into her before she had time to react. What'd happened if yukino did manage to react in time just wasn't a consideration on the part of the Ice lioness. To her own very severe detriment.

Nashi managed to alert her friend as Carolina charged, who at the last moment managed to pull herself into the ring out of harm's way. Carolina was able to pull up her knee far enough that she avoid slamming it directly against the edge of the ring apron, but her shin skimmed painfully along the edge, only stopping as her hip and torso slammed into the edge of the apron.

Carolina yelled in pain again one more time. While she couldn't yet she it, she was sure that her right shin was bleeding, as she was akwardly perched partially on the ring.
