Ruby in the rough

Alicja's speed and defensive game were definitely showing to be lacking as more and more punches were slipping through her guard. Then it stopped, She was surprised by that and took a quick sidestep so as to get out from the ropes and just as she did she noticed a strike coming at her stomach and like a complete rookie that she was, fell for that faint. Right after her head whipped back with the force of an uppercut landing flash on her chin, a trail of saliva escaped her mouth as she stumbled back, this time finding her back against the corner.

The silver lining was that she at least stayed conscious, she had a tendency of keeping herself going through things she by all rights shouldn't. Regardless, taking a world-class ass whooping like that was hardly showing her anything of use so she spoke. "Mind slowing down a little?"

While Ruby was no knockout puncher, that didn’t mean her punches were light. Thanks to some tricks learned from her sister and putting some power behind it. Had this been a real fight, Alicja would’ve been in a terrible spot. At this point getting the shit kicked out of her by the same girl who almost killed herself with weights a few moments ago. Still that suplex from the beginning must’ve done something to Ruby because it kicked her into high gear. A few gears too much for Alicja to handle. Something Ruby would finally realize once, Alicja was barely holding herself up after the uppercut. Asking Ruby to slow down for her.

Oh my god, I’m so sorry! I didn’t mean it, I just thought it’d be good to be rough. Ruby said as she got close to Alicja and helped her stand better, hand on her back and trying to hold her up. Constantly apologizing for almost knocking her friend out.

Alicja waved off Ruby's worries. "Nah, it's all good, I can take a punch... Or ten. And I need to get used to that but baby steps. No way I can keep up with you just yet." She said, using the moment to stretch her neck and rub her aching jaw. Her speed and skill were certainly lacking but toughness alone was rather impressive as she quickly recovered.

She soon was looking ready to go again and moved to the center. "I started kickboxing recently but I'm just starting. I guess it shows." She said with a nervous chuckle. "I'm good to go again, just take it easy on me."

Ruby’s mind was going one mile a second with what just happened. She just made a friend then proceeds to almost knock them out, who was she Nora? Thankfully Alicja swayed Ruby’s worries showing that she can take more that a few punches. Yeah, yes, okay baby steps, baby steps Ruby said as she took some steps back to let Alicja set up again.

Once Alicja went to the center, Ruby felt that was the green light to move herself. Okay thats cool, everyone has to start somewhere right? Ruby said as she shifted her stance into one more for grappling. Why don’t we do some good ole fashioned wrestling then Ruby now waiting for Alicja to start making her moves.

"Sounds good." Alicja replied, matching Ruby's stance and engaging with her. From the prior engagement, she figured Ruby was not necessarily a fan of grappling but given that Alicja was new to all of it, it wasn't saying match. And trying the trick from before seemed like it was bound to backfire.

It didn't mean she was completely out of ideas. Firstly, she knew that most grappling happened on the ground itself, so the first order of business was getting there. To that end, Alicja would tighten the grip behind Ruby's neck and pull. It was partly a way to distract her, but more importantly, to get a better angle as she would then try to kick the legs from underneath the girl with a sweep and follow her down to the ground.

Alicja didn’t look too discouraged. That’s a good thing, Ruby was worried she might’ve made some very bad mistakes. But if Alicja was able to keep going, Ruby was going to follow it through. Now that Ruby knew Alicja wasn’t going to try striking, Alicja was going to use other methods of attacks.

Once Ruby and Alicja locked up with each other, Ruby could embarrassingly feel the difference in strength between them. It was like Alicja wasn’t even trying. (Maybe she can’t tell) Ruby thought to herself as the stayed grappling. Ruby allowed Alicja to take the lead. Instead of using this power difference, Alicja went to sweep Ruby and take them to the ground. Here Ruby would show some of her quick thinking. As Ruby let Alicja sweep her, Ruby brought up her knees as she kept a hold on Alicja. Both of them falling onto the mat, but for Alicja. She was getting a face full of Ruby’s knees.

For a second it looked like Alicja's plan was working, then a white hot pain spread through her head as her jaw tried to leave its rightful place and lodge itself somewhere deeper in her skull. Or at least that's what it felt like as instead of getting on top of Ruby, Alicja was, while still on her knees, forced get the upper body straight from the force of the impact. She could already tell, this would hurt come the next morning but in a show of astounding endurance, she went right back to work.

Seeing that trying to be clever was not paying off, Alicja decided on using one asset she had over most other women, her strength. Already being at the other girl's side she would try to grab her behind the thigh and neck. If she could manage that she would get back to her feet, lifting ruby as she moved to eventually rise her in a military press over her head before dropping her down in front of her and taking a step back.

Now that the sparring had taken a different approach. A bit more wrestling instead of striking, luckily Ruby still had the expertise on her side. So when Alicja was going to take Ruby down. Ruby let that happen, but in the process Alicja was getting a face full on knees. That was going to be a lesson to stay on her toes. Since in wrestling you may not know what type of attack is coming your way.

Though it seemed like Alicja was going to lean on one of her core assets. That being strength, and since they were both already on the ground. Alicja made a quick move to grab onto Ruby’s neck and thigh. Using Ruby like a workout and deadlifting the girl, then bringing Ruby up even higher. This time over Alicja’s head easily. Ruby would be lying if she wasn’t self conscious about how light she was. At least how easily Alicja was lifting her. Ruby wasn’t going to counter this with some off the wall move. Ruby would let Alicja have this, getting dropped onto the mat. Ruby would brace for impact and make a resounding thud once she hit the mat. Though she’d roll to the side to try and get some distance. Just gonna hulk on me here?

"That's like the one thing I might have over you so... yeah, probably." Alicja replied with another nervous chuckle punctuating the end of the sentence. Technique was not something she could rely on against most people, speed was out of the window completely given how fast Ruby was and Alicja wasn't breaking any speed limits either to even have a chance to keep up. Striking just went terribly for her a moment ago and submissions are complicated, which left Alicja's repertoire rather narrow.

There were still plenty of ways to toss someone around, the herd part of it was actually getting her hands on the opponent, and so far, it seemed that with Ruby, not getting cut short by a counter was a problem too. Not that she would ever have time to worry about that in an actual fight, she just needed to learn to deal with this. For now, she would try to get back into a bind with Ruby, this time with no fancy faints, she would go straight for her knee, the other hand on the girl's shoulder, she would then try to lift her up and turn her upside down before delivering a power slam!

Alicja seemed to be gaining more and more confidence as the spar went on. That’s a good thing, showing up to a fight is harder than what people think. That being said though Ruby would have to be careful about what she would let Alicja do. Alicja confirming herself that power was going to be her strategy here. While Ruby is a great wrestler, taking one good look at her, you can tell she isn’t built like a tank. So several throws might be more than what she can handle. Lets see how far you get with that then! Ruby said as she prepped for the next encounter.

Now it looked like Alicja was the one leading in this dance. Moving in on Ruby and grabbing onto Ruby’s knee and shoulder. As if Ruby would make it that easy. Just as Alicja was looking to lift Ruby up. First she would swat Alicja’s hand off her shoulder. Secondly he would use that momentum to propel herself up and backwards. Essentially doing an assisted backflip, culminating in one of her signature moves with a super kick to Alicja’s face. Trick Rose
