As she caught her breath, Astrid rolled up to her knees, taking a moment to stretch herself out and roll the kinks out of her neck. She wrung some sweat out of her hair with a shake of her head - but when she listened to what Yukari had to say, Astrid gasped. She might have committed herself to being in the moment, meeting Yukari with the same focus and intensity she might show in a real match, but the news was enough to shake her into a daze. Never in her life would she believe that the unassuming girl she faced across from her had such an accomplished past.

"You trained with Beowulf?" Astrid knew him well, as both a contemporary of her father that she had seen wrestle many a time in the prime of his career and - she was ashamed to bring the memory back up - as a childhood crush. If Yukari had such respectable connections behind her, Astrid was surprised she wasn't already taking the lightweight division by storm. But then, Astrid reminded herself, she wasn't here to let herself get lost in thought. If Yukari really had learned from the best, Astrid would need to be ready for her!

The Norsewoman sucked in a breath, firming up her muscles as she faced Yukari from on her knees. It was then that the smaller brunette struck, her forearm pressing into the side of Astrid's neck as she began to lock in a sleeperhold. Sputtering a few times, Astrid's face contorted with the strain as she bent in closer. But she reached for Yukari's arm at the same time, grasping at her wrist as she tried to pry it off her!

And indeed, although Astrid might have been surprised by her discoveries, she wouldn't let down her guard! She tightened her grasp around the lightweight's wrist, and with some more tugging and pulling she managed to yank herself out of the sleeperhold, steering Yukari around in a circle away from her until the two of them were once again eye to eye. Now Astrid lowered herself into a stance, her eyes locked onto her foe's as she prepared to meet Yukari head-on once again. She watched as the girl pulled her arm out of Astrid's grasp - but the Heavyweight Champion had other things in store.

As soon as their mutual armlock was broken, Astrid would close in again, ducking down toward Yukari and moving to throw her arm low between her legs, while her other arm encircled her shoulders. If it worked, Astrid would pick Yukari up and turn her upside down, before hurling her to the mat for a scoop slam!

Yukari felt pain in her arm from the grip, and when she managed to break free, she would see astrid heading towards her quickly, scared, she wouldn't know what to do, being taken and thrown towards, but even so, although the blow hurt, she would try to get up again

Yukari was proving her resilience - Astrid had floored her with a scoop slam, but even then, she wasn't down for long before she was picking herself up to her feet. The Norwegian heavyweight raised an eyebrow, taken by surprise to see such a smaller girl bounce back so quickly. Nevertheless, Astrid smiled, chuckling warmly to her sparring partner. If Yukari could get back up from a slam like that, seeming no worse for wear, then she surely had what it took to succeed - and Astrid was impressed.

"You're a tough one, huh?" Astrid said. "I was never going to go easy on you, but I see I need to really pull out all the stops!" She dropped into a stance, keeping her eyes on Yukari as she rose to meet her eye to eye. Leaning in closer, Astrid grabbed for the girl's wrists, attempting to shove back on her to unseat her with a quick opening in a test of strength!

yukari felt happy when it seemed that she was happy to see yukari's determination, but when she noticed how she placed her in another grip of strength, yukari might be on her feet again, but her body was not used to resisting so much, much less of someone like astrid, she would quickly show herself very weakened, remaining on her knees, becoming weaker and weaker before astrid, since this battle of attrition is losing her

Astrid reached out to Yukari, grabbing the smaller girl by the hands. She clenched her teeth, her muscles tensing and tightening as she shoved herself in close to exert the force of her push against her opponent. But to Astrid's surprise, Yukari held her ground! The Norwegian's eyes went wider as she watched her double back, going down to her knees. It seemed as though Astrid had her under control, and she'd barely had to put much work into doing so; she had just brought Yukari low with the sort of effort that would hardly be enough for some of the opponents she had faced. For a moment, regret crossed Astrid's mind. She felt a twinge of guilt that she might be going too hard on Yukari, and she was about to ask her if she was okay...

But Astrid reminded herself that she didn't hold back for anyone, no matter what. She was always out to fight with her full strength and ability; to show her opponents anything less, she thought, was beneath her. Rather than ease up on Yukari, Astrid was going to give her a close look at her full power. Rather than push at her wrists, Astrid gave a pull forward to reel Yukari in closer to her - where she would move to snap her arms shut around her body to squeeze her with a bear hug!

Clenching her teeth and drawing in a breath, Astrid wrapped her arms tighter around the girl's body, arching her back as she pulled her in closer against her chest. Even if they were only sparring, that didn't matter. The rush of excitement Astrid got from being in the heat of a match came over her, and as she settled into that mindset, she was ready to meet Yukari with the same intensity she would meet any opponent with. As her arms tensed like iron chains around the lightweight's body, Astrid began to jerk her body from side to side, shaking Yukari in place. Astrid felt her kick out with her legs, groaning from the pain of each strike, but she wouldn't let it slow her down. After all, she was this close!

Yukari felt how her effort became weaker and weaker, feeling in an impossible situation for her to escape, she would think about her options, but knowing that she only had one option left, although she did not know what results they could give, she now had nothing to lose !
