Black and Purple: Wisteria Khan vs Layla Colt

The tides of the match were turning ever so slightly as Sheena tossed Layla over her shoulder onto the mat below with a snapmare. Good. Sheena didn’t like not being in control in general, tontrying to turn things around here was what she needed and thats what she was doing. All she had to do was keep pressing her advantage. Throwing her leg forward she had intended a punt kick to Layla’s back while she was vulnerable. Unfortunately however the girl was more aware than she appeared as she rolled away just before her leg could connect.

Whirling around she immediately locked eyes with Layla as the girl pushed herself into a kneeling position. ”Pretty light on you’re feet.” she noted with a small smirk that betrayed her frustration at missing her chance to put the hurt on Layla. But the playful and mischevious look on her face worked much better for her than the frustration and anxiousness she was actully feeling as she thought of a way to try and weaken Layla further.

Layla only just rolled clear of Sheena's attempted boot to her spine, twisting out of range and rolling to her knees to face the other wrestler, breathing heavily after the exchange.

"Well, I try," she shot back in response to Sheena's comment, a wry smile crossing her face. Then, with one leg planted against the canvas, she pushed off as hard as she could, trying to fling herself at the other woman as fast as she could, aiming a shoulder block at Sheena's chest that would hopefully send the woman flat on her back!

Sheena watched Layla as she rolled away from her previous position, managing to avoid her kick to the spine. Seeing her pop up to a kneeling position Sheena smirked slightly from Layla’s wry words. ”I can see that.” She shot back with a similar smile on her face.

But the lull of action was short lived as soon both women sprang forward once more. Dashing forward Sheena would attempt to drive the air out of her opponet and leave her stunned for continued attacks. So she drove her leg up and forward to drive it into Layla’s stomach!

However Layla too had a plan in mind. She charged forward and leaped up, and nothing about Sheena’s knee strike, whether it hit or not could stop the wall of body that was Layla from crashing into her! ”Guh!” Sheena yelled out as she was sent backwards, the only consolation to her as she hit the mat would be the satisfaction of her knee in turn driving into Layla, assuming it hit at all at least.

Both wrestler's went flying at each other, and the two battlers slammed together with thunderous force. Layla felt an instant of triumph as her shoulder block crashed into Sheena at full force, but that feeling was immediately erased by Sheena's knee in turn slamming into her stomach.

"Ouughhh..." she blurted, the speed of her own attack actually compounding the force with which Sheena's knee was driven into her. She tumbled backwards, coughing for breath and clutching her bare midriff with both hands. Gritting her teeth, she could see that at least her own attack had also knocked Sheena down.

"Great minds... think alike," she panted as she struggled back to her feet, taking the moment with Sheena on the canvas to try and get air back into her lungs before the other woman recovered.

Sheena had run forward and leaped into the air, throwing her leg out in an attempt to hit her rival with a leaping knee strike. However it appeared Layla bad the same idea as her shoulder drove itself into her own body knocking her flat to her back. ”Augh...” Sheena moaned out in pain as she laid out on the mat, trying to push herself up.

Raising ber head and seeing Layla in the same position Sheena couldn’t help but chuckle softly from the girl’s words. Even if the action did rattle her chest a bit in a eather umpleasant way. ”Yeah I guess you can say that.” She said slowly pushing herself up, the only comfort to her in this situation neing that Layla seemed to be getting up at the same speed as herself. So by the time she stood up she would look over presumably in the eyes of her opponet

Well, she was certainly in for a brawl with this one, Layla thought wryly. Things seemed evenly matched and both wrestlers had already given and taken some thumping blows.

Layla clambered back to her feet, regaining her breath and looking up to see Sheena doing much the same, both fighters resetting to clash once more. Rolling her shoulders to loosen them, Layla took up her fighting stance and began circling, looking to draw her opponent in and attempt to counter any offense that Sheena tried to inflict upon her.

As she got up Sheena looked over at Layla wearily, evaluating her position versus her opponet. Both were up already, not good, that meant she had no element of surprise to work with and would have to meet her opponet headon. In the pro column though they both had suffered relatively the same anount of damage, meaning Layla had no decisive advantage over her and vice versa.

Even so, despite the relatively even playing field, Sheena didn’t quite want to lock up with Layla. It was clear by her stance the girl was expecting that, and would likely have a means to counter whatever she did try. Tsking softly Sheena thought of something that could either give her a major advantage, or potentially cost her the match.

Approaching Layla carefully, Sheena watched the girl as she reached up apparently gokng to meet Layla in the lockup.. only to suddenly shift and throw ber leg up to try and bury her knee into her opponets gut in a fashion extremely similar to what Layla had pulled at the start of the match. If this worked, of even if Layla tried to counter, Sheena would already be moving her arms up to try and grab one of Layla’s arms before pivoting to launch Layla right at the ropes!

The two wrestlers circled warily, drawing closer as if gravity was pulling them. Layla kept herself tense, ready to spring and willing Sheena into a lock up where she could try to snare the woman in a fresh submission hold.

Inch by inch they closed in and when they drew close enough, Layla reached out to meet her foe in the lock-up.

Only for Sheena to feint away from her and swing a kick at the unsuspecting raven-haired beauty!

"OOOFFGH!" Layla blurted as Sheena's knee came swinging up into her gut. She managed to brace to stop herself getting completely winded, but the impact still doubled her over, and before she could react, Sheena was already moving, grabbing her by the arm and whipping the Canadian into a run. She cannoned off the ropes and came flying back at her opponent, rushing straight into whatever follow up trap Sheena had laid!

Sheena had been carefully watching Layla with razor sharp intensity as they neared eachother, arms raised up and ready to do battle with the other again. Thankfully when they moved in Layla had fallen for her feint and Sheena managaed to catch her with the knee followed by the irish whip. Smirking slightly as Layla came charging back involuntarily Sheena would lower herself, spreading her legs out as she jutted forward while swinging her arms around to wrap around Sheena’s waist. If successful than she would suddenly lift Layla up, using her own momentum to swing the girl around and slam her down back first into the mat with a spine buster!

Being thrown into the ropes after having the wind knocked out of her, Layla wasn't in a fit state to thwart Sheena's next manoeuvre. She came hurtling back at the purple-clad woman and straight into Sheena's waiting arms, being swept off her feet into the air and spun around.

"UNNGHHH!" Layla blurted as she was planted into the canvas by Sheena in a powerful spine buster. The dark haired woman arched her back in pain, writhing around briefly before sagging against the canvas, momentarily stunned by her opponent's sudden and powerful turnaround!
