"Destiny's Dual- Gambit vs Kanako!"

"TWO..." *The official continued, as the incessant counting began to fuel the latent fire dwelling within the raging cajun's soul. This had developed into something more than just a mere exhibition bout- She had something to prove, namely, that she was the superior star in this brawl! However, regardless of how obstinate she was in regards to emerging triumphant over her adversary, her body wasn't quite ready to make that dream a reality just yet.*

*Before she knew it, the count had reached* "FIVE..." *As it seemed like the seconds were ticking by faster than she could count. Shooting a dazed glance towards her foe, Gambit was shocked to realize that Kanako was just as prostrated as she was.* "Good..then..then I don't look so weak.." *She muttered under her laborious breathing, before finally beginning to scale the ropes to her shaky legs while maintaing a close eye on her rival, all the while the crowd vigilantly monitored their progress.* "DON'T GIVE UP! DON'T GIVE UP!" *They boisterously chanted, indiscriminately cheering for both combatants simultaneously.*

The crowd was over. They cheered and chanted while clapping in time. If Kanako's only goal was to entertain and give the crowd a good match, she would have stayed down. But she came to LAW so she could become a great wrestler and great wrestlers give it their all. She had certainly given a lot so far, but not her all. Her fist hit the mat in time with the chants. Allowing her nerves to calm so that she would be ready when...

"Eight!"

Now or never! Kanako suddenly sprang to her feet. Although the abrupt movement caused her head to spin and almost sent her back down to the mat, she managed to catch herself on the ropes. Having beat the count, she turned her focus to her opponent and motioned for her to stand up. "Come on!...Don't tell me...that's all you've got."

*Gambit refused to accept her current circumstances- She had only just begun to soak in the indescribably wondrous sensation of basking in the spotlight, before this misanthropic killjoy ruined the moment! No, this wasn't going to be the hill she died on today!* "Y..you've got this Gambit! D..don't let her decide your fate!" *Giving herself a miniature pep talk, the boundless bunny found the energy within herself to break the ten count seconds before the match would have otherwise ended in a draw!*

"I..I'm better than that!" *She boisterously declared, shaking off the nagging pain in her body as if it were a tenuous issue before clapping her hands together- Initially, only a scant few were rallied behind her, but after a few moments of building herself up, it seemed as though the entire audience was backing the bunny!* "And it's time I showed YOU who's boss!"

*Quickly approaching her downed adversary, Gambit had concocted a simplistic concept for how she would structure her offense- Ideally, Kanako would remain sedentary, allowing the Baton Rouge babe to slam her fists against her vulnerable backside. So, without a moments' hesitation, she closed the gap between them and raised her right arm upwards, deciding to share a few words of derision first.* "I hope you're ready for a first class ticket to painsville, population you!"

Battered and tired, Kanako watched the Cajun card shark get back up with renewed vigor. Part of her regretted not hoping for a count out victory, but she pushed those thoughts aside. She tried to plan her next move, but Gambit approached her too fast for her to think of anything. Her body was aching in protest as she tried to convince it to move or counter. She gazed into the eyes approaching her and saw the fire and determination of a predator. The black clad luchadora didn't know if she had what it took to put her down.

Then, without thinking or realizing she was doing anything, she suddenly launched herself at her opponent. Taking a moment's hesitation in her opponent she threw her forearm out in a strike aimed right at Gamit's jaw. At that moment, Kanako was running on adrenaline and passion. "Until the end...Keep fighting until the end!"

*Fueled by the contribution of the thousands of fans in the stadium rooting for her, Gambit was soaring on an ineffably powerful high at this moment- She had deftly incapacitated her opponent, and even better, she was effortlessly gaining a stronger following than she had ever anticipated. Unfortunately, she had an exploitable kryptonite that Kanako had realized without Gambit realizing it: Her susceptibility to overindulgence, especially attention. Without harping on it for too much longer, the riverboat rabbit was on the verge of striking down against her foe, but suddenly felt a surge of force smash into her with the energy of a locomotive!*

"HRRRK!" *Her body floundered backwards, as she almost sailed spine-first into the turnbuckle behind her. The audience gasped in horror from what they had witnessed, while a handful of them turned their attention towards the resilient goth; she had proven herself to be a mighty foe, possessing a vast array of moves that had been artfully executed throughout the length of this encounter.*

"Ugggh..." *At the opposite end of the ring, the once sprightly bunny was feeling the aftereffects of having been on the receiving end of such a crippling blow. Her body refusing to regain its composure so soon, her fingers clamped either side of the middle ropes, trying to balance herself with a little leverage to prevent herself from slipping.*

Kanako’s body burned with over exertion as she focused on standing upright. She didn’t want her opponent nor the fans to notice just how much she had taken out of herself. She wanted them to see resilient wrestler that takes the hits and keeps on coming. Once her opponent was splayed out in the corner, she took a moment to call her next shot. She stretched her fist out in front of her and then shot a thumb downwards in her signature taunt.

The crowd popped and Kanako exploded towards the corner. Her muscles tired, body sweating, but she pushed the pain away and made herself charge even faster. She attempted to run shoulder first into the other wrestler, knocking the wind out of her and hopefully putting her down for the pin.

“Muerte!” she cried, channeling her heritage, her legacy, into this one move.

*Gambit's mind still swirling inside of a whirlwind of both physical fatigue and mental stagnation, the crippling confluence of handicaps prevented the rookie from regaining her faculties, resulting in Kanako's impending shot to connect unhindered.* "GUUUH!" *The massive shoulder tackle struck the Bayou Bunny like a locomotive, sending her flopping backwards with a resounding* "THUMP!" *That sent a ripple of unimaginable pain throughout her svelte frame! Needless to say, the crowd responded with a distinct mixture of cheers and jeers, but that mattered little to the stunned novice- Gambit was breast-first against the ground, unable to fully comprehend what just happened, all the while unable to move from her spot against the canvas.*

"Uhhh....nngghh..." *Struggling to summon any semblance of a coherent sentence, all Gambit managed to do was emphasize the fact that she hadn't properly recovered from the devastating blow. Her limbs sprawled out across the cold, unforgiving floor the only indication of her consciousness was the garbled murmuring she continued under her breath, each raspy suspiration feeling devoid of almost any life.*

With as much speed and strength as she could muster, Kanako drove her shoulder home into the bayou bunny's abdomen. The sudden impact sent both girls to the mat; Kanako's eyes blurring as she almost gave in to exhaustion. She shook off the dizziness and looked for her opponent. Gambit was lying next to her with a dazed look on her face. Kanako was reminded of their earlier skirmish that almost ended in a countout. She was determined to not let that happen.

Spending a lot of effort, Kanako crawled over and rolled her opponent on her shoulders. She laid her arm across her chest in a tired pin attempt. Kanako was panting hard and struggling to even her breathing. The grim luchadora had pushed herself farther than she had planned for her first pro match, so she was more focused on recovering as much stamina as she could. Even with her senses distracted, she still heard the referee's call:

"One."

"Unnnnh..." *Her body sprawled out across the canvas, a beautiful display of her personal cleavage and curvaceousness, Gambit could hardly recall what had sent her spiraling into the ground, let alone comprehend what was currently transpiring around her. The number that danced around her eardrums certainly sounded familiar, but the severe lack of energy prevented her from bursting out of the cover she found herself in.*

"Two..." *there was another one, she thought. It sounded far more important than the previous digit, something that alerted her to the dire situation she was truly involved in- This gruesome goth girl was soundly beating her in something that was meant to be her time in the limelight! As if the floodgates of heaven opened up all at once, Gambit rolled herself sideways and shot up an arm, barely breaking the impending three count by nanoseconds.*

"WOAH!" *The crowd reacted unanimously; they had all but given up on the prone, nearly motionless bayou bunny until she finally rejuvenated their belief in her tenacity. She wasn't out yet, and Gambit was going to prove to the world that she could hang with the best of them, one move at a time!*

Kanako couldn't believe it; she was so close again. But the Cajun gambler kicked out AGAIN! Kanako drove her fist into the mat out of frustration. "Rrgh!" She sat on her knees and collected herself for a moment. Wiping the sweat out of her eyes, she looked to the audience for support. She quickly found it when they started clapping to a rhythm. Her body moved with the sound and channeled it. Before she knew it, she was standing in the ring hyping everyone back into a fervor.

Kanako was determined to win. She grabbed Gambit by the hair and hauled her up into DDT position. Kanako stretched out her fist in front of her then shot a thumb downwards, signaling that she was going for her finisher: the Gravedigger. "Let's see you kick out of this one, you bayou bitch."
