"JJ" Janella Johnson vs Karen Gale - Standard Match

JJ had Karen down and now had an idea. She ran to the corner and climbed up, standing tall on the top turnbuckle as she looked down at Karen. She extended her arm and slapped her elbow with a smile before pointing to Kyo. "Watch me fly baby!" She shouted before jumping up into the air and extending her elbow as she sailed toward Karen on the mat. If this connected she could go for a pin right after landing but if this failed she was in deep trouble...

Karen was breathing hoarsely as she lay on her back, one leg kicking at the mat as she tried to recover from those three brutal clotheslines in a row. She heard the audience clapping; grimacing, she forced herself to roll onto her front, and began to push herself up to her hands and kness.

Only, she quickly discovered, the fans hadn't been clapping for her.

JJ's elbow came exploding into her back, causing her to cry out in pain as she was flattened onto her front. She moaned in pain as JJ rolled her onto her front, hooking her for a pinfall. In an instant, the ref was next to them, starting the countdown.

"ONE! TWO..."

With a muttered curse, Karen kicked out, getting a shoulder up. She wasn't going down that easily this early in the match, though truth to be told, her back was now killing her...

JJ had Karen down although she had kicked out with gusto after the elbow drop. JJ moved over to Karen's legs and grabbed hold of her ankle, rolling Karen over and trying to lock in an ankle lock on the taller woman! JJ felt as though if she could also limit Karen's mobility it would make it easier for JJ to outmaneuver her in the future. Karen for sure still had plenty of life left in her but JJ was determined not to lose here, she was going to win on the big stage and are sure Kyo at ringside had something to celebrate with her later.

Karen was breathing hard after that kickout. Even as she kicked out, though, JJ was on the move, grabbing one of her boots. Her eyes widened as JJ took a hold over leg, flipping her over and bending her ankle the wrong way in a fierce ankle lock!

"Nnnnnghh---!" Karen groaned. She thought quickly and rotated her lower body, trying to swipe her free leg up with a kick at JJ's temple to make her release her. If that failed, though, then the Maori girl would be forced to reach towards the ropes and hopefully grab onto them...

JJ was in control and not expecting anything when the kick smashed the side of her jaw! JJ groaned and let go, stumbling back to the ropes. She was slumped over the top rope shaking her head as the surprise kick left her in a daze. JJ grit her teeth and tried to push off the ropes to get back in the fight but her vision was still a slight bit fuzzy as that hit caught a sweet spot with serious force behind it leaving her a bit open for Karen...

Having managed to JJ off of her, Karen rolled to her knees; seeing JJ now sprawled against the ropes, Karen hopped up to her feet, lowered her body and charged, aiming to hammer her shoulder hard into JJ's exposed back, aiming to keep her American opponent stunned and hurting.

Standing back up now, Karen would look down at Kyo at ringside, smile and wink at him. "Hey handsome, want to see your girl fly?" She saw Kyo tense up angrily; without waiting for an answer from JJ's companion, Karen would wrap her arms around JJ's midsection, before dropping back, aiming to suplex her hard into the mat!

JJ was down when Karen flew in and smashed her across the back leading to JJ grunting and flopping down onto her stomach. "Ugh.. damn it you big mouthed...Whoa!"

JJ was grabbed and lift up easily, and quickly by Karen. Before JJ could register what was going on she found herself crashing down against the mat painfully as she again rolled over onto her back. She kicked the canvas in pain a couple times and covered her face with her arms. JJ was now clearly on the receiving end of things with no end in sight. Karen was rolling which meant that JJ was now the one reeling. She had to turn it around but at this moment JJ was in no shape to do that let alone rise to her feet.

The crowd roared as Karen nailed JJ with a brutal suplex. Rolling up to her knees, Karen took a few seconds to inspect her handiwork before crawling over and draping her body across JJ's, hooking one of her opponent's powerful thighs as she set her up for a pinfall.

In an instant, the ref was next to them, counting down. ""ONE--!"

"JJ! Kick out!" came Kyo's shout from the ringside. He wasn't about to interfere in this match, but he could still shout encouragement to JJ.

"TWO!"

JJ arched her back and bridged out of the pin at two before slumping back to the mat, taking deep breaths. She shook her head and rolled to the side, trying to create some room so she could rise back up to her feet. JJ was hurting and knew she had to at least get back up. Karen was in control though and there was a good chance she wasn't going to let that happen clean.

Karen was nearly thrown off the mat as JJ bridged sharply, getting a shoulder up. Dropping onto her butt, Karen took a few short breaths as JJ rolled onto her side. Of course it wasn't going to be that easy, she thought to herself. "JJ" Janella Johnson was a seasoned vet of the ring. It was going to take a lot to keep her down. Karen had known that coming into the ring, which was why she was more than prepared to work for this win.

Crawling after JJ, Karen moved to shove her onto her front, before straddling her back, grabbing at her arms to pull them over her knees. If she managed that, then she would cup JJ's chin and lean back, wrenching back hard on her chin as she locked her foe in a tight camel clutch! "Gotcha now, JJ!" she shouted as she locked in the hold.
