I Will Be A Loser No More (for Highfly)

Makie blinked in surprise. Was she hearing this right? Alaina Sanders was offering to help train her how to fight heavyweights like her? Tina was already giving her a lot of help in fighting heavyweights, but...well, there were heavyweights who were Tina's size, and then there were heavyweights who were Alaina's size...


"Y-yeah! That would be great!" Makie replied. She hopped to her feet, glancing uneasily at Tina before turning again to Alaina. "So...you want me to...what, attack you and try to hit you with a slam or a suplex?"

Alaina nodded. "Yeah something like that. You can use me as a practice dummy of sorts." She said as she stepped up to the middle of the ring. "So what are some moves ya like? We can work on being able to do those to larger women by tweaking your form a tiny bit and working with your whole body to lift." Alaina said as she stepped up looking ready to go. "Really name it and lets see what we can do. I don't mind being tossed around for a while."

Makie blinked as Alaina stepped up to the mat. "W-well I like...um..." she stammered, more than a little flustered at being in the presence of someone with as massive a reputation as Alaina Sanders. She quickly swallowed: the former heavyweight champion was here, offering her her help. This was not the time for her to get bashful.

"Kicks," she finally said, with a little more authority. "Rapid punches. High flying moves-- drop kicks, enziguris, spinning elbows, aerial drops, moonsaults, hurricanranas." She quickly blurted out all the moves she had practiced the most, and had the most confidence. "ESPECIALLY hurricanranas-- kind of how I got the nickname 'the Hurricane,'" she added with a grin. "My ground game isn't the best, but I know one or two moves that can wear other gals down." She glanced at Tina. "Tina knows what I'm talking about."

She began to hop lightly on her feet. "So you want me to attack you with anything in particular, or do you want me to just come at you, Ms San...Alaina?"

Alaina nodded and listened. She knew of the kicks and found that a hurricanrana enthusiast was something that interested her. A few years ago Alaina would be bugging Makie to add some of those to her own aresenal. Hell until a few months ago Alaina could do moonsaults and in perfect conditions still might be able to, but those seemed to have been phased out as she aged to big leg drops, splashes and elbow drops.

"Big women like me hate being tossed around and slammed by smaller women, maybe its pride, or gravity with our big size crashing down but it sucks." Alaina said with a smile. "Lets get ya working on a hold or two and maybe some power work so you can really catch some people off guard?" Alaina said curious to see if Makie was open to such a suggestion. "If only we got Danny here, he is big and if you can lift him you can lift just about anyone on the roster and he is a good practice dummy, I know from experience." Alaina laughed with a wink.

"He is a good sport about it too." Tina added with a shrug as she stood by. She was hoping that Makie was open to the varying of her offense instead of focusing on the strikes and hurricanrana's although those were things Tina was happy to help Makie zero in on later.

Makie blinked in surprise at Alaina's suggestion. "You want me to try some holds on you?" A woman of Alaina's size would be hard to drop to the mat, let alone force into a hold. "Okay then, if you're ready, then...here goes!"

And with that, Makie would burst forth in a run and leap forward with both legs, aiming to grab onto Alaina's wrist in midair and latch her legs around the big woman's arm. If all went according to plan, then Makie hoped to take Alaina down to the mat with an armbar!

Alaina was thinking of trying to get something set up on the ground first when Makie came running in. As Makiencharge and grabbed Alaina widened her stance and dug her feet in.

Shenreached over and grabbed her trapped hand with her free one and instead of hitting the mat she gutting it out holding Makie up even though her arms as trapped.

"Now this could be bad but there is a way to get around a power counter and get your armbar in. Swing your legs put quick and plant them, use the momentum and send me down with an arm drag while keeping hold of the arm. From there as soon as I hit the ground apply the arm bar." Alaina said.

"Wrench down as hard as you can because once the shock wears off whoever you are against will be back to trying to counter. All right, give it a go!"

Makie let out a loud yell as she leapt upwards, latching her legs around Alaina's arm...and stayed there. Her eyes widened when she realized that Alaina was now just casually holding her above the mat with one arm, even with all of Makie's weight literally wrapped around it! A small part of her panicked expecting Alaina to simply slam her down against the mat: instead, Alaina stayed there, and gave her some instructions on how to counter the upcoming counter.

"Oh...okay!" Makie said, unwrapping her legs, planting them against the mat, and dropping low, doing as Alaina had instructed and yanking hard on the big woman's wrist to try to arm drag her to the mat!

Alaina fell down to the mat and landed with a loud THUD as her nearly 190lbs of woman crashed down. Her arm was yanked hard and she grit her teeth, kicking the mat a bit. "Good. Now I can lean over and pull my trapped arm to alleviate the pressure like this." Alaina said as she demonstrated. "Big woman like me who want to show off will burn energy and sometimes try to stand back up before slamming you down. If you have an arm bar on someone and they are pulling back like I am and powering their way up? Let go." Alaina said.

"If they are smart they will do this easier counter that anyone can do. Women with ring awareness regardless of size will lean right into you like this." Alaina said as she leaned in to Makie pushing with her legs and rolling Makie onto her shoulders. "You are being pinned even though you have me in a hold. Let go so you don't lose by a 3 count if this happens." Alaina said leaning right in as she began counting out loud. "One..."

Makie's heart raced as the two of them crashed to the mat, her legs wrapped solidly around Alaina's beefy arm. Somehow, she was already doing a lot better than she normally had: under normal circumstances, she woudn't have even dreamed of being able to take down a woman Alaina's size, let alone to transition so swiftly and effectively into an armbar! For a brief moment her instincts took over, and she almost forgot this was just a spar as she squeezed her legs around Alaina's arm and wrenched back a little on her wrist...before stopping and relaxing, catching herself before she could actively hurt Alaina.

Alaina's lesson didn't stop there, though, as she warned Makie about what a girl her size would do next...before suddenly leaning into her, threatening to fold her up for a pinfall. Huffing, Makie immediately released Alaina's arm and pushed off, rolling clear of the amazon before she could lock in the pin. "So if I bigger opponent tries to roll me like that, I disengage and break off like that, right?" she asked, realizing only now that she was breathing a little harder from this intense training.

"Yes, just like that. Great work!" Alaina said. "Okay what other holds do you like to use? We can try more with those and maybe see if we can teach you a new one too?" Alaina asked. "After that we'll have you slamming me around in no time to really throw larger women off their game." She said with a wink as she looked over at Makie.

Tina was on the side smiling. "This is why we needed Danny. If you can pick up that big oaf then you are set for just about any woman in LAW." She added with a chuckle. "I can help ya with strikes later too after all this or any other time ya like."
