Natsu was aware that showcasing concern for a fallen adversary may not have been the most prudent decision to make in the middle of cage fight as vicious as this one was becoming, especially considering that were roles reversed between them, Juri in all likelihood wouldn't exactly be demonstrating the same degree of compassion. Just a hunch, on Nattie's behalf. But ya know...old habits and junk. The schoolgirl now standing upright and panting with both hands situated on her knees as the referee started ascertaining whether this was a kayo victory, awash in waves of relief and adamantly cognizant of the fact she dodged quite a bullet-"..." Natsu's heart sank like a lead balloon from Juri's acrobatic return to form, gawking with saucer wide eyes at her adversary arising from the grave like a horror villain in their fourth movie. Avaricious and yearning for more physicality, as if Natsu's pummeling until this point had only accomplished the task of feeding kindling to a fire until it was practically a ravenous inferno. Nattie's steeled resolve and competitive scowl meant to hide the palpable unease and doubts within as she sprinted recklessly forward gnashing her teeth as she vaulted into the air with a cocked back fist and attempted Superman Punch...

Huh. The little shithead was about to do a Superman Punch.

Juri’s mind locked onto what it was about halfway through the move’s setup, recognizing the way she was coming in, the way her feet were being positioned, the subtle tells that were far less subtle when you actually knew what to look for. There was a reason you rarely saw this move outside of movies, even more rarely saw it executed raw. The damned thing came with warning flags.

But okay, she could work with that.

Juri waited for Natsu’s feet to leave the ground, for her to be fully committed to the move, before she made a single motion. The instant her sneaker left the ground, the violent violet spun about in a blur of motion, turning around in a quick circle to build momentum. She came out of it and shot her leg out behind her at the same time, shooting her heel up high with a spinning heel kick - one that would connect with Natsu’s face just as she was jerking forward to deliver the Superman Punch, using her own momentum to double the damage.

Again, all about timing.
