Re: Something's Gotta Give: Risako Spellmeyer vs Lisbeth Parker
Risako clutched her gut after having the wind knocked out of her from the elbow drop. But the pain didn’t stop there as her opponent would then roll her onto her stomach. Next she would get on top of her pull her legs back to apply a Boston Crab.
“Argh!” Risako cried out as the pressure was being applied to her back. The referee was close at hand and ready to call the match if Risako submitted or passed out from the pain. But she wasn’t going to down that easily! Gritting her teeth, Risako fought through the pain and began to pull herself towards the ropes.

Re: Something's Gotta Give: Risako Spellmeyer vs Lisbeth Parker
"Awww, what's wrong, Trackmeet?"
Liz grinned broadly as she yanked back on Risako's legs, lowering her center of gravity in order to really make her opponent feel the stretch. She could feel Risako trying to crawl to the ropes. With a growl, Liz tried to yank her opponent back, shifting her feet on the ground as she tried to coil her arms around Risako's legs, her biceps flaring as she tried to hold on - giving Risako a small view of how strong Liz truly was.
But Risako was no slouch either.
Liz grunted as she struggled to hold her foe in place, sweat building up on her forehead, and as hard as she tried to hold on, she knew it would only be a few moments until her opponent managed to grab hold of the ropes... But not before Liz gave at least one more yank, hoping to hear some pained shouts from her foe!

Re: Something's Gotta Give: Risako Spellmeyer vs Lisbeth Parker
Risako hissed she attempted to pull herself towards the ropes without passing out. It was a tall order as he needed to pull herself towards weight and the weight of her opponent using just her arms. Slowly but surely though she was making progress and inching closer to the ropes.
“Aiiee!” A sudden yank by her opponent sent another jolt of pain through her back. Tears started to form in the corner of her eyes from the excruciating pain. The thought of tapping out was tempting but Risako banished it from her mind. The ropes were within reach. She just needed to hold on a little bit longer.

Re: Something's Gotta Give: Risako Spellmeyer vs Lisbeth Parker
"Too much for ya? Wanna tap out?"
Liz cackled as she heard the shout of pain from her opponent, grinning as she leaned back as far as she could go, letting her foe feel the pain and the strength that a long career in boxing brought. Sure, Risako may have the experience when it came to MMA - but let this be a lesson that Liz was no slouch either...
"Awww, gonna cry? Come on, you can do better than this, can't you?"
Her smile grew wider, more sinister as she turned her attention out towards the crowd, flashing the biggest, cockiest smile that she could as she took her time, enjoying the torment she was inflicting upon her foe, soaking up the boos and jeers of the audience as-
"She's grabbed the rope!"
"Sorry, what was that?" Liz asked, glancing over at the referee hovering beside them, hands still firmly fixed upon Risako's legs, "Couldn't hear you over the crowd!"
"One! Two! Thr-" The referee launched straight into the disqualification count, staring irritably at Liz. Clearly her stunt earlier hadn't made her any friends with the ring official.
"Ohhhh! Rope break!" Liz laughed, glancing back at Risako's hand upon the ropes, finally releasing her opponent while pushing herself up to her feet. "Sorry, sorry!" She added, flashing a smug smile down at her opponent.

Re: Something's Gotta Give: Risako Spellmeyer vs Lisbeth Parker
When Risako managed to grab the bottom rope she should’ve felt relief. But instead the excruciating pain continued as her opponent continued to apply the hold. It was only when the referee was halfway through the five count that Liz finally released the hold.
Being in the Boston Crab for as long as was did a number on Risako. The pain inflicted on her back was something that she was going to have to deal with for the rest of the match. To try and buy herself a few more precious seconds to recover, Risako rolled her body underneath the bottom rope to the outside of the ring.

Re: Something's Gotta Give: Risako Spellmeyer vs Lisbeth Parker
Liz was expecting Risako to come at her again; to throw a punch, or kick, or start a grapple or something. What she wasn't expecting was for the sporty girl to roll through the rings and jump out of the ring.
The former boxer huffed a little, walking back and forth along the ring's edge, staring out at her opponent on the outside as she paced like a caged lynx taking in potential prey outside its enclosure. Her eyes narrowed a bit as she started to roll her shoulder somewhat - the shoulder that had been trapped in Risako's earlier armbar.
"Wrong sport, Trackmeet." She taunted, "You're not supposed to run away in a fight."
As she spoke though, she continued to roll her arm, even reaching over to massage it with her free hand. Was it merely a moment of discomfort? Or a sign that Risako's submission hold had taken an effect...?

Re: Something's Gotta Give: Risako Spellmeyer vs Lisbeth Parker
Risako expected Liz to come out after her, but it seemed that her opponent was content to wait for her to get back in the ring on her own. Risako didn't respond to her opponent's taunt, but she did notice how Liz was rolling the arm that was in the armbar earlier. Seems like they were both feeling the effects of the submission holds.
Once the pain had gone down to something manageable, Risako pulled herself back up to her feet. She then reached underneath the bottom rope to grab her opponent's legs and pull her to the outside.

Re: Something's Gotta Give: Risako Spellmeyer vs Lisbeth Parker
The problem with a lull in a fight is that it was an opportunity for adrenaline to wane.
A rush of adrenaline; a surge of action... It could distract you from a lot. Like, say, the discomfort that came with getting your arm stretched out by someone who had experience in grappling and submission holds. The former-boxer rolled her shoulder again, fingers tensely massaging the muscles as she continued to pace about on the canvas, staring down at her opponent.
"What's wrong down there? Waiting for the count out? Giving up already?" Liz taunted, settling into a spot overlooking Risako, hands moving to grip at the rope, one foot lifting up, ready to stomp upon any foe that might just, oh, slip through the bottom rope an-
"WHA-!"
Her cry was interrupted just as suddenly as her thought as Risako yanked at her leg, pulling her off her feet and leaving her to hit the mat with a THUD and an ooph before pulling her out through the ropes!

Re: Something's Gotta Give: Risako Spellmeyer vs Lisbeth Parker
Risako felt a bit of vindictive satisfaction upon hearing her opponent surprised cry. She had let her guard down and now Risako was going to make her pay for it. After pulling Liz out of the ring she threw some punches at the former boxer's stomach, much to the delight of the crowd if the cheers echoing throughout the arena were any indication. After that she grabbed her wrist and Irish Whipped her towards the steel steps at ringside.

Re: Something's Gotta Give: Risako Spellmeyer vs Lisbeth Parker
The ring rattled as Liz fell, her head bouncing off the canvas - a set of dots exploding across her vision, a slight mental haze forming as she was dragged out by her vengeful foe.
"Urgh, gerof-OOH!"
Liz's muttered complaints at her opponent were swallowed up by a pained cough as Risako's fist slammed up into her stomach. The former boxer had grabbed onto the side of the ring as she had been pulled out, had clung to it like a shipwrecked sailor clinging to the debris of a ship in a storm. Her body folded around that punch, doubling over with a WHUMP!
Another came, then another, three solid hits had landed before Liz was even able to bring up the barest of defenses... And as she did, Risako merely grabbed at her wrist-
"Hah-?"
Twisted, and threw her across into the metal steps to the ring. Liz ran into them, a heavy SLAM! ringing out as she fell over them, her body sprawled out over the stairs, arms dangling off the opposite side as the impact sent an explosion of pain through her chest and abs. "Guuuuhhh..."
