Dancing towards the future (For Deezcastforms)

Deku gulped softly as Noelle accepted and took his hand. It was natural of course that she would but it made the upcoming moment no less daunting for him specifically. Walking hand in hand with his girl friend out of the restaurant and down the street to the park he would subconsciously lean closer to Noelle, brushing shoulders with her as he led them through the moonlit trail to the center of the park, a bridge over a small river.

Taking a deep calming breath Deku would turn to Noelle and hold both of her hands in his. "Noelle... I.. was thinking about what we talked about earlier tonight and I've been thinking about our future... There's something I wanted to ask you tonight." He said pausing and looking down before focusing back on Noelle.

"But now there's something I want to ask that's more important... Something we need to settle before anything else." He said as he pulled her in as close as possible, their noses and foreheads pressing together before he spoke. "Noelle Silva. Love of my life. I challenge you to a trilogy match. I want to face you with everything I've got... Do you accept." Deku asked softly while staring into her amethyst eyes.

Noelle had her suspicions that a proposal may be in the cards tonight, but now she knew it was coming. Izuku wanting to ask something about their future; what else could it be? Noelle couldn't hold back her smile, and could only barely hold back a premature acceptance. Or at least Noelle thought she knew what her boyfriend was going to ask, but in her defense, this had to be the first time in history that "love of my life" was followed by a challenge to a wrestling match.

Noelle's smile switched to slack jawed as she was met with a challenge instead of a proposal. "I, uh. . . okay, I," The Spaniard was made to stutter a bit before her mind caught up with her ears. "To be completely honest, I was 100% expecting you to propose to me," she said. "I wonder what the other thing you were gonna ask me was, but I guess it couldn't have been to marry you if challenging me to a match is more important. But, uh, sure thing. We can have another match if you want. Did you have terms in mind?" Noelle was internally kicking herself for saying that she thought Izuku was gonna propose. That made switching topics back to a match so much more awkward.

ON some level Izuku felt as though he may have messed up, and he realized that quickly seeing noelle's slack jawed state. If he was being honest he was on the verge of trying to play it off as a joke before dropping down to his knee, the ring in his pocket feeling especially heavy now than before. Despite that though he remained firm in his stance as he looked at Noelle and took a breath. "Well... its complicated. But this is important. It's important for us to leave everything in the ring with each other before.. other things." he said looking off to the side for a moment before focusing back on his girlfriend. "As for a stipulation. I think the most fitting thing would I quit. That is... if you'd be ok with that." He said seriously with a nod to her as he made the challenge.

Noelle couldn't help but feel a little confused. She could tell that at least to some extent, Izuku had gone back and forth on his original plans and changed them around somewhat. But every conclusion that she could come to felt like it had something wrong with it that didn't add up. In the end, Noelle decided to just go along with what Izuku said, "I Quit, huh? Yeah, that works for me if that's what you want."

It was definitely awkward but Deku had gotten his point across, at least he hoped and now he had made his challenge, not just to Noelle between them, but also one to himself. Hearing her agree he would let out a breath he didn't know he was holding before nodding with a smile towards her. "It is." Deku said, looking down for a moment before back into Noelle's eyes. "And Noelle?" He said to her, waiting for a moment before closing the distance for a kiss. "I love you." He said after pulling away with a smile on his face, holding her close to him as he did so.

Well it certainly hadn't been the ending to their date that Noelle had been expecting, but it was still one that she could feel satisfied with. Noelle returned Izuku's affections. Both the kiss, and the words, "I love you too, Izuku. Tonight was wonderful." Izuku would see her home as the hour grew truly late, and Noelle was left to prepare for the match she'd just agreed to.
