Lauren Fredericks vs. Megumi Mutoh: Shot At Redemption!

Lauren felt Megumi kick out a bit earlier than expected... and more forcefully! "Whoa!" Lauren said in surprise as Megumi shoved her away. Lauren stumbled up to her feet still surprised at Megumi's resilience. The bigger woman stood and tried to ready herself, getting her hands up as Megumi was already to her feet.

Lauren tried to step up, reaching in to catch Megumi in a grapple! She was bigger and figured if this worked she could force Megumi into a corner and keep the pace of the match slow, so Lauren could grind away at the faster wrestler!

Right after pushing Lauren off of her, Megumi would get back up, groaning as she still felt a little sluggish. When she was finally on her feet, Megumi got herself into a grapple with the bigger woman, and due to the difference in their sizes as well as the fact that she was still feeling sluggish, she was pushed towards the corner, and she grunted as she felt like she was unable to push back at Lauren.

Running out of option, Megumi decided to use brute force as she would rear her head back before attempting to deliver a skull-cracking headbutt right into Lauren's forehead. The attack would left her disoriented as well, but from there, she would try to turn this match around, pushing back at Lauren, hoping to capitalize on whatever state she was in after being headbutted by Megumi.

Lauren had proven her strength again, although Megumi once more shocked her at how effectively she opposed the much bigger Lauren in a strength vs. strength contest! As Lauren reared her leg back to land a knee strike she felt a sudden, explosive pain in her face as Megumi delivered a headbutt right to her nose!

"Ahhhhhh!" Lauren howled as she stumbled back, falling down onto her back as her hands covered her face! Her nose throbbed and her vision was blurry afterward as Lauren moved her hands and tried to shake off the daze as she failed to stumble to her feet, ending up in a sitting position on the mat with a little bit of blood clearly visible coming from her newly broken nose!

It seemed that Megumi had made it her habit causing her opponent to bleed. Either way, she managed to get Lauren off of her, and seeing this as her chance to deliver more damages on the bigger woman, she would haul herself up the turnbuckle, getting on top of it in quick motion before she leaped up into the air, propping her elbow at the direction of Lauren's torso.

She would head over to where Lauren was in her attempt to drive her elbow into the bigger woman's belly with a diving elbow drop. She would drive her single padded elbow into Lauren's body to deal massive damage on her.

Lauren was groaning, trying to shake it off. However she was brought back to reality by a high flying Megumi crashing into her! Lauren let out a howl of agony as she was taken down to the mat! She kicked the mat in pain, trying to cradle her abdomen where the elbow drop struck her.

Lauren was clearly in a bad way, and Megumi had seized control of the match!

Right after landing the elbow drop into Lauren's body, Megumi would roll over quickly before getting on her knees so that she could see what was happening to the bigger woman. Seeing her in pain, Megumi decided to press on as she would get back up on her feet, walking around her opponent she got down, grabbing both Lauren's legs, arranging them over her own leg in order to put her in a figure four leglock.

"Alright, here we go..." Megumi muttered as she would start applying pressure on Lauren's knee joint, wrenching it past its limit with the figure four. Just to add more pressure, she would lean back and lift up both legs, looking to make the hold more painful than usual.

Lauren was down and suddenly felt her legs surge with pain as the figure four was applied! Lauren screamed in pain so loud the referee initially coveted their ears in shock! Laurens arms flailed as she rabidly clawed at the mat, making slow progress to the ropes at the other end of the ring!

They were far away and the progress was slow. She was trying yo think of a more technical escape but wasn't able to. She screamed again, her head threashing about as she dragged thw two slowly....

This was going to take a while and Lauren wasn't sure she could hold out!

Megumi kept applying the figure four on Lauren, but she could feel the bigger woman dragging herself towards the ropes. Rather than pulling her back, she would let herself be dragged alongside her, knowing that this hold wouldn't result in a submission from Lauren. Still, she would keep on applying pressure in the hold, looking to weaken her opponent even further as she made her way to the ropes.

She would eventually let go of the hold once Lauren reach the ropes, but she knew that the damage had been done.

Lauren held out, just barely reaching the ropes. Adding to her pain was her old technical training, minimal as it was, returning to her. She should have rolled Megumi over to reverse the pressure and catch her in the hold instead!

It was a missed opportunity and Laurens legs paid the price. She used the ropes to try to pull herself up, her legs nearly buckling as she tried to stand on them. She stumbled but managed to remain upright.

Lauren tried to step up to Megumi, trying to grab hold of her and put her in a standing side headlock!

Megumi looked at Lauren picking herself up with the help of the ropes. She figured that the pain on her leg would surely hinder her performance, allowing her to take her down much easier. Then, as Megumi kept on observing Lauren, the bigger woman then closed in, trying to grab a hold of her and put her in a side headlock. Megumi got her head caught before being trapped in the hold under Lauren's arm.

"Nghh..." Grunting as she felt her head being trapped in the side headlock, Megumi would try to twist around, looking to slip out of the hold before attempting to grab a hold on Lauren's head so that she could put her in the side headlock of her own. In order to prevent Lauren from repeating what she did, Megumi would make sure to give her opponent's head a hard wrench, clutching both her hands together to ensure that the bigger woman was kept under pressure.
