Akemi Ishikawa’s Debut: Akemi Ishikawa vs Emily Nelson

Akemi’s grip on Emily’s arm was firm, her intent clear as she pulled her opponent up from the ropes, intending to keep the momentum on her side. But Emily, despite the toll the match had taken, had other plans. Emily shot her knee up into Akemi’s midsection, catching her by surprise.

“Ugh!”

Akemi gasped, momentarily doubling over as the knee strike drove the air from her lungs. The brief moment of vulnerability was all Emily needed.

Quickly, Emily maneuvered herself behind Akemi, positioning them back-to-back. The crowd’s excitement swelled as Emily reached back, cupping her opponent's chin with her hand. Without hesitation, she dropped down, pulling Akemi's upper body with her, slamming Akemi’s upper back against her shoulder in a modified stunner!

Akemi’s head snapped back as she hit the mat, a look of surprise and pain crossing her face as the impact reverberated through her body. The crowd roared in response, cheering for Emily’s quick thinking and effective counter.

Akemi lay momentarily stunned on the canvas, her hand instinctively reaching up to her neck as she grimaced, the stunner having rattled her.

After being on the recieving end of Akemi's brutal slams and submissions, it felt good for Emily to be able to deliver some damage back for a change. Her padded knee struck home into Akemi's midsection, causing the Japanese beauty to double over, winded for a few valuable seconds. And Emily didn't waste these seconds: she moved so that her back was against Akemi's, the other girl's hair spilling down over her shoulders as Emily's spilled over Akemi's in turn, and she reached back, cupping her chin like a hooked carp, and dropped down, causing the back of Akemi's neck and head to impact against her shoulder in a neckbreaker!

The blow was enough to send Akemi crashing down onto her front, stunned. Standing back up, Emily brushed her hair to the side as she strode over to her downed foe. She could have gone for a pinfall her and now, but she had a feeling that it would take more than that to keep Akemi down. So, more than that was what Akemi would get!

"Come on, up you go," she breathed, yanking on Akemi's arm to pull her upright. Once she did so, Emily would slide around behind her Japanese foe, wrapping an arm around her waist, before tilting back, aiming to nail Akemi with a suplex-- one that she would quickly transition to a pin, making sure to keep her foe's shoulders pressed down onto the mat!

Akemi’s world spun as she hit the mat, the impact of Emily’s neckbreaker reverberating through her body. She lay there, momentarily dazed, feeling a sharp ache radiate from her neck down to her shoulders. The stunner had rocked her, and even as she tried to clear the haze in her mind, she could feel Emily’s presence closing in.

A part of her admired Emily’s tenacity and her smart use of every opportunity—Akemi herself was known for exploiting every advantage, and now she was on the receiving end of it. Still, despite the pain throbbing through her body, Akemi’s fighting spirit remained unbroken.

As Emily yanked her up, Akemi felt her body strain against the pull, the effects of the earlier stunner making her movements sluggish. Her head still pounded, and her breaths were coming in short, sharp bursts as she struggled to regain her composure. But Akemi’s instincts were kicking in, her mind calculating an escape, even as her body protested.

Before she could act, though, Emily’s arm wrapped tightly around her waist, securing her for the suplex. Akemi’s body was lifted off the mat, and in the next moment, she was driven down hard onto her shoulders. The canvas shook beneath her, the impact drawing gasps from the crowd as Emily transitioned immediately into a pin, pressing Akemi’s shoulders firmly to the mat.

Akemi’s heart raced, the sense of urgency pounding through her as the referee dropped down to count.

"One… two…"

Akemi braced her legs, planting her heels on the mat. With a sharp twist of her torso, she managed to power out, raising her shoulder just in time to break the count!

Every muscle in her body ached, but the pain only fueled her. Gritting her teeth, she took a steadying breath, her mind clearing as she regained focus. Akemi wasn’t going to let this end here. Her pride, her experience, and her fighting spirit wouldn’t allow it.

As she pushed herself back to her knees, she locked eyes with Emily, a faint smile on her lips despite the pain.

THUD!

The ring shook as Emily drove Akemi head-first into the mat. After being on the receiving end of Akemi's impressive wrestling skills, it now felt great to have the shoe won the other foot. Arching her slender body backwards, Emily would maintain her grip around Akemi's midsection, keeping the Japanese wrestler pressed shoulder-first against the mat, and held her breath, waiting as the countdown progressed.

In all honesty, given Akemi's level of skill and experience, Emily shouldn't have been surprised when the Japanese wrestler kicked out. Thrown clear of her foe, Emily would end up rolling back up to her knees; as she got up to her feet, she saw Akemi opposite her, smiling in spite of having been slammed into the ring twice. And despite everything, Emily found herself smiling back.

Not that that meant she was going to go easy on Akemi, though. Striding towards Akemi, Emily would grab at her arm and shove her towards the ropes. "Not bad," she would whisper, "you're every bit as good as I'd hoped." With that, Emily would whip Akemi across the ropes...and would immediately come rushing at her, aiming to slam her arm across her chest for a brutal clothesline!

Emily's clothesline hit with a resounding impact, driving Akemi down to the mat as the crowd gasped at the force. For a moment, Emily seemed to have the advantage, her confidence bolstered by the successful maneuver. But to her surprise, Akemi popped right back up, her eyes blazing with intensity as she shook off the blow!

With a fierce roar, Akemi reached out, grabbing Emily by the arm before she could fully process her opponent's quick recovery. In one smooth motion, Akemi whipped Emily towards the ropes and, on her return, executed a sharp arm drag, sending the Scotswoman tumbling over Akemi’s shoulder!

Emily hit the mat but barely had a chance to react as Akemi was on her again. With quick precision, Akemi got back to her feet, catching her in another arm drag, Emily’s body flipping over as she hit the mat once more. The crowd cheered, sensing the momentum shifting back in Akemi's favor!

But Akemi wasn’t finished yet. Determined to keep her advantage, she pulled Emily up and whipped her to the ropes once more, attempting to catch her in a third arm drag, this time with even more force!

Emily was about to drag Akemi to her feet when, to her absolute surprise, the Japanese woman kipped up on her own, eyes blazing with fury. It happened so suddenly that Emily was completely taken aback. "What--"

Her moment of confusion ended up costing her, as Akemi quickly yanked at her arm and sent her running towards the ropes! Her years of ring experience took over, though, and Emily bounced back and revved her arm up for a clothesline. A clothesline which never landed: in a quick, fluid motion, Akemi grabbed at Emily's arm, expertly flipping her over her shoulder and sending her slamming down onto her back!

Emily wince at the impact, but rolled with the impact, aiming to immediately get back to her feet and nail Akemi with a kick. For the second time, though, Akemi was one step ahead of her, and Emily hopped up only to immediately get her arm grabbed again! Gasping, Emily was flipped down to the mat for a second time, and went rolling, arching a little as her upper back was slammed against the mat...

Akemi stood tall after taking Emily down with the thirf arm drag, her sharp instincts and fluid movements drawing cheers from the crowd. With Emily momentarily stunned on the mat, Akemi glanced toward the corner of the ring, determination flickering in her eyes. It was time to take a risk.

She stepped onto the ring apron and quickly climbed the turnbuckle, her movements precise and confident despite the toll the match had taken on her. The crowd roared in anticipation, the energy in the arena electric as Akemi perched herself on the top rope, her balance steady.

As soon as Emily was upright, Akemi launched herself off the top turnbuckle, aiming for a devastating top rope leg drop.

The crowd erupted as Akemi soared through the air, her leg extended, targeting Emily with pinpoint accuracy. Would the risk pay off, or would Emily recover in time to turn the tables?

Emily gasped as she clutched her back, trying to roll over onto her front to try to get back to her feet. Just when she had been about to turn this match around, Akemi had managed to quite masterfully take control again. Gritting her teeth, Emily nonetheless managed to get upright again, rising to a standing position...

...and looked up just as Akemi launched herself down at her with a drop kick!

Cursing, Emily ducked, dropping low to avoid Akemi's drop kick. Assuming her foe missed, and assuming Akemi landed on her feet, then Emily would try to spun up behind her and wrap her arms around her midsection, before dropping back, aiming to nail Akemi with her signature release back body suplex, the Nelson Caber!

Akemi soared through the air, aiming for a perfectly executed dropkick—but Emily's instincts kicked in just in time. The Scotswoman dropped low, narrowly avoiding the attack, and Akemi hit the mat hard, her momentum leaving her slightly off balance. She scrambled to get to her feet, but in her haste, she didn’t notice Emily closing in from behind!

Before Akemi could fully recover, she felt Emily’s strong arms wrap tightly around her midsection. A split-second of realization crossed Akemi’s face, her eyes widening as she understood what was coming. Emily planted her feet, let out a fierce grunt, and lifted Akemi clean off the ground. With a powerful burst of strength, Emily arched her back and launched Akemi through the air in a devastating release back body suplex!

The crowd gasped as Akemi's body sailed through the air before crashing down onto the canvas with thunderous impact. She landed hard on her upper back and shoulders, the sheer force of the move leaving her sprawled out on the mat, dazed and gasping for air. Her chest rose and fell as she tried to regain her breath, the pain radiating through her body after the brutal suplex!

The gasps, shouts and roar of the crowd were music to Emily's ears as she sat back up. At this point in the match, she was assuming a number of things were now becoming increasingly clear to Akemi: firstly, that Emily was tenacious as all hell; secondly, that she had a lot of power that she could call upon; and thirdly, that Emily might be courteous and honourable, but she wasn't afraid to be absolutely brutal with her opponents.

Brushing her lavender hair back, Emily crawled over towards the downed Emily and dropped across her, hooking one of the Japanese women's legs as she went for another pinfall!

In an instant, the ref was beside then again, starting the countdown. "ONE..."
