Kyoko Akan (C) vs Katarzyna Zawiślak — Last Woman Standing Match for the LAW Middleweight Title

Punches kept coming in hot, driving Kate to stay where she was and forcing her to try and block the punches even when she knew she had no chance of stopping all of them. The Belly Queen was taking advantage of Kate's position, aiming for where she thought she could do damage and seeing her get lower and tighter to avoid getting knocked out. Her combo of punches continued with her head, wanting to send her to sleep with an opening to her jaw, only for Kate to duck under and get as low as possible, stepping in and aiming for Kyoko's stomach to try and stop her.

"Uggh!" Kyoko groaned, feeling her abs take the hit and struggle to keep her fist at bay, making her freeze up in the process until she slipped out and combo of punches to her face. "Ugh! Agggh!" Kyoko groaned, head knocked to the side and her arms coming up to protect her face while she stumbled away from Kate, dazed by the headshots.

Kate chose to engage with Kyoko in a boxing exchange and came uncomfortably close to regretting her choice, she knew from the get-go it would not be easy and she half expected Kyoko to drop the attempt at playing the same game but the champion was determined to match her, no matter what offence she'd chosen and for a while there, it looked like she'd do more than that. This was all the more reason why Kate could not let the woman recover from her latest assault!

Seeing Kyoko stumble back and raise her hands Kate remained in lockstep with the woman, maintaining perfect range to maximize the power of her hooks as she swayed her weight to the side from which she was going to attack, first going for the liver once again to then strike the opposite side at the same level, hoping to draw Kyoko's attention down as she'd then try and step in even closer for an uppercut right under the woman's chin that she'd roll into a cross to transfer all the power from the movement directly into the woman's skull!

Kyoko's stumbling started to cease right when she got close enough to see Kate was coming in to continue her attack, prepared to follow through and try to take her out. The entire time Kyoko was watching her for any sign of her next move, hands at the ready now that she was out of her dodging wide stance, until Kate got closer and seemed to be ready to go for her liver again. Kyoko moved to block it to avoid getting hit there until the movement changed and Kate tracked her enough to take a shot at her head, aiming for the skull now that Kyoko's guard was lowered. No amount of turning was enough to get out of the way in time and the punch smacked her head.

"Gaagh!" Kyoko screamed, head knocked to the side and sending her off balance just as she regained her foot, this time she stepped back too much and lost her balance even more after the painful shot to the head and she ended up falling down to her butt. This would be a knockdown in a boxing match even if Kyoko was clearly ready to get back up again, so the crowd cheered the exchange that was back to favoring Kate after a close call.

Kate got Kyoko's number and punched it in, seeing the woman lose her footing and fall to the ground. It wasn't a boxing match, she could have by all rights followed up and she had options for that to spare but she didn't. Hearing the crowd erupt in cheers, she'd raise her fist up and as if the crowd knew what she wanted to say, went quiet. Kate's eyes never left Kyoko for a single second.

It was hard to resist the urge to bury her knee into Kyoko's face, or to mount her up and let her fist continue the talking but there was one thing she could do without moving a finger that if she was right, would hurt Kyoko's pride more than anything else. Without so much as a twitch, she would simply open her mouth and in a flat tone say "Get up."

The fall was met with cheers, Kyoko's hands came up once she fell expecting more, since this was a wrestling match instead of a boxing one. All she got in the end was Kate standing there and giving the crowd a sign to hush reminding them that the fight wasn't over and then demanding Kyoko rise herself. Even though she wasn't down enough for the ref to start a count Kyoko felt herself boil with anger at the command, once again the rookie was telling Kyoko what to do and she did it as coldly as anyone else who tried to make demands of the Belly Queen. She scooted to the opposing corner and wouldn't get up until she was in it, much like how one could reset in boxing. But the boxing part of this fight was just about over, they could've gone entire rounds or turned it into the entire match if they wanted, but they weren't here to prove who was the better boxer, they were here to make one of them Middleweight Champion, and Kyoko had a job to finish.

"Cocky bitch." Kyoko said once she was back on her feet in the corner. The ref looked between them to see who would make the first move and Kyoko answered it by stepping out of the corner and then running right at Kate. Instead of continuing to box her she would bring this match to a close by hitting her Spear finisher before Kate could see it coming and bring her down to her back after cutting her in half.

It was oddly satisfying for Kate to see the champion seeth beneath her skin, she engaged her challenger at their terms, tried to beat them and for all that effort all she got was her opponent giving her time to get up. It was not wise of course and she knew that but she'd be damned if she'd not at least bruise Kyoko's ego before they were through and right now, her words were just rubbing salt into a wound.

Seeing Kyoko go to a corner, Kate would do the same, it seemed as tho the belly queen was not done in her attempts at taking Kate down with fists alone and Kate was more than happy to oblige, striding forward as soon as Kyoko did so as well. Expecting another exchange when they met in the middle, Kate was cought completely off guard by Kyoko's move.

A sickening, wet wheeze escaped her throat as her entire diaphragm collapsed under the pressure of the champion's shoulder digging into her core at high speed, soon enough tearing her clear off the floor bent in half as her opponent charged forward before throwing her to the ground after nigh on breaking her in half. All the momentum dying in a split second as Kate's body slammed to the floor with a thud, her head bouncing off the ring floor without so much as a whisper before she came to rest, motionless.

From the way things looked everyone assumed Kyoko would go back to boxing Kate, even Kate. That mistake made her run in expecting one only for Kyoko to surprise her and everyone else by getting speared before she could react, Kyoko's shoulder digging into her gut and trying to impale the wombat. Kyoko's spear was one of the many weapons she'd ended matches with, with only Wyvern and Akane taking on and kicking out. One of them was crazy and the other had help, so when the spear hit and punched through even Kate's abs, Kyoko was sure it was over and when she stood up she showed it with her confident smile.

"You can count as long as you want, she's not getting up from that." Kyoko said turning around and walking back to her corner as if the match was over. The crowd booed, not just because Kyoko was standing and Kate wasn't but because most of them felt that Kyoko didn't fight fair attacking Kate when it was obvious she was expecting another round of boxing. Kyoko didn't care, this was a wrestling match and if you weren't prepared for everything, you deserved to have nothing. "I told you she wasn't up to my level, it doesn't matter how good a rookie is the talent and experience I have is too much to match! Her little revenge story ends before it starts. Kirie get over here and bring my belt!" Kyoko demanded of her protege who was sitting back and watching the action, in the middle of counting along with the ref. This made the crowd boo louder knowing that Kyoko really thought the match was in the bag, even if some of them sadly thought the same thing.

The arena was silent as Kate remained still, only a brief cough coming from her as she, still unconsciously drew breath, the champion already celebrating a victory as the referee continued to count, echoed by Kirie, the crowd split between booing and calling for Kate to get up. But Kate was far beyond hearing them at this point

Kate drew in a deep breath, clenching her eyes and teeth in pain, she couldn't hear anything yet through all the ringing in her ears, her body feeling heavy as she fought to even so much as clench her fist. Lungs burning with every breath, a faint taste of iron filling her mouth. She knew had to get up fast but her body was refusing to cooperate.

Finally being able to hear the count put the proper pressure on, she stayed down far too long for this early in the match and now she'd turn onto her stomach, beginning to push up but not enough to break the count yet.

It felt like she was trying to lift a mountain, her battered core especially threatening to give in at any moment but she'd grit her teeth take a deep breath and push with all she got, managing to get to her knees. Seeing her rise again bringing equal part cheers and shocked gasps "Didn't hear no bell, bitch!" She'd say, getting back to her feet though her legs still threatened to give out from under her at any moment

Kirie got out of her seat thinking the match was over just like Kyoko did and carefully hopped over the ramp with the belt still in hand, then went to the desk to grab the Middleweight belt as well so she could present both to her. Kyoko watched her and then looked at the angry or despairing crowd who were trying to will Kate to get up after taking one of the Belly Queen's deadliest moves. It was foolish, she wanted to laugh wondering what made anyone think she'd be in fighting order after taking it by complete surprise. She saw Kirie coming back with both her belts and was ready to drop down and take them when she saw Kirie look at the ring...and stop smiling. "Oh crap, Oh crap!" She muttered, making Kyoko confused until she heard Kate's voice behind her.

"No...." Kyoko said turning around and seeing that at the count of 8 Kate was not only still standing but seemed responsive enough to fight already, defying any expectation Kyoko had for her after a move like that. "I hit you in the perfect spot, you should still be hunched over trying to remember how to breathe this isn't..." Kyoko trailed off, trying to shake the thought away, it shouldn't be possible but regardless she had no choice but to ignore it and put Kate down again, even if she was still standing that move would take a lot out of anyone, she was in the lead and she shouldn't act like she was beaten already.

Kate was putting on a braver act of being unbothered by the blow she received than the reality was, breathing still hurt and her ears did not quite stop ringing but she was standing and the agast reaction from both Kyoko and her little henchman spoke volumes. "Did you really think I'd go down that easily?" Kate asked, it was a purely rhetorical question, something to fill the air as she stepped forward, the movement was forceful, tense, she was testing out how well she held up with the first step and when she knew she was alright, she'd keep the initial tempo when walking up to Kyoko.

She got her hands up, looking as if she was going to go back to boxing despite the champion abandoning the idea of such an exchange. it would certainly make a statement if she did that but it would also be probably the dumbest thing she could do. Instead, as she was steeping in, seemingly to throw a punch directed at Kyoko's head, she would quickly rise her rear leg up and putting all her weight behind it, step forward with a teep, aiming to thrust the ball of her foot directly under the champions sternum to get both as much concentrated force in one spot and push the woman back! "Think again!"
