Misa might as well have been running for her life. It didn't take long for it to dawn on her that she was hopelessly out of her league - the fight she was putting up against Aaliyah, if it could even be called that, was downright pitiful, and when she could hardly stand up to a manager-and-ring-announcer-turned-wrestler with little experience to her name thus far, she outright didn't stand a chance against a woman as ruthless and as terrifying as Viper Hoshiwara. She dived out of the ring and ran right for the barricades as fast as she could; Aaliyah might have tried to snatch at her on her way by, but Misa was moving so quickly she slipped through her fingers without even trying. Her burst of speed could only get her so far, though. A moment later, the adrenaline cleared her system, and almost immediately, her body felt heavy and her legs felt like jelly. Gasping and panting, she threw herself against the barricades, leaning up against them as she desperately gulped down air. And when she looked up, she could see Viper storming toward her. Her face never betraying the slightest hint of emotion, all she did was plod slowly forward, but that was enough. Misa could feel every heavy footstep, and the weight in Viper's glare fell heavy on her shoulder. When the deathmatch veteran reached down and pulled a switchblade from her boot, flicking it out, Misa's fingers wrapped tighter around the barricade as her heart beat faster in her chest. Now, she felt, she truly knew what it was like to stare death right in the face.
The announcer glanced left and right; she could feel her heart thumping faster and faster in her chest. She couldn't stay here for long - she couldn't let Viper catch up to her, or there would surely be hell to pay! But when she was in the arena, there was only so far she could run - and only so much stamina she had in her to run with. Her knees began to knock together as her legs sagged wearily beneath her. Viper was just coming closer and closer, and her eyes seemed to stare straight into Misa's soul. She had to run away...but where
could she run to, at this point?
Just then, though...Misa had an idea.
"YUKINO!!"
A few gasps and cheers could be heard as all eyes turned to the entrance ramp - and out there stepped Yukino Fuyumi, of the Idol Dragons! Not only was she an idol like Misa had been in her prime, the announcer had also managed her team - and now, she was here to return the favor! Misa knew she would be in danger going into this match, and she and Yukino had made plans, just in case her intervention became necessary. But if there was ever a time to call on Yukino, it would be now. Now, Aaliyah had escalated the fight by bringing Viper into the fray - and Misa was going to even the score!
Yukino wasted no time in coming to her manager's need. Viper had stopped to look back over her shoulder at the sudden noise, and that was all the time the Winter Idol needed! She came racing down the ramp as fast as she could, and when she came close, she hurled herself through the air, plowing feet-first into Viper to take her to the ground with a dropkick! Then, as she rolled back to her feet, she circled around to take point in front of Misa, her arms spread wide as she assumed a protective stance.
"Enough! You're not getting away with this!" Her eyes narrowed on Aaliyah; she was ready to bring the fight to her too, if it called for it!
