Maria Lindberg vs Tiki Lowell: Elite Kickboxing Battle

While still being weaker, Maria does her best to do something that could help her win the match either in the long run or make the green haired woman tap out now. It was hard work to get her into position but after some struggling, the blond woman could put her in the arm bar, or rather in an unfinished version of one. maria does her best to press the woman's back fully down on the ground, but the green haired wrestler knew how to fight against it, which made her whole plan a whole lot more difficult.

By moving her body with the help of her legs, Maria had to put in a lot more work to keep Tiki down. The problem is mainly, that the blond woman is lighter than Tiki, so he couldn't use her body weight much to her advantage and had to solely rely on her strength and the trapped arm. While she saw that Tiki got up with her hip and lifted the lower half of Maria up, the Swedish fighter would try to bend her back further backwards to increase the pain on the arm that she trapped.

While putting in all her effort into making the experience for Tiki as painful as possible, Maria was not able to stop her. As Tiki put her in a pin reversal, the referee intervened. Maria groaned frustrated that her plan didn't work and broke them up for now. Maria let go and would have to get up again, which was not that bad, because on there she could fight back better than on the ground. And so Maria would get into a fighting stance again, ready for the next round.

"Agh, gah!" groaned Tiki as she continued to try to work her way out of this Armbar. Even as she made more and more progress, it did little to alleviate the pain in her elbow. But relief would instead come all at once as she forced Maria to release the submission hold by successfully pinning the blonde down and breaking her advantage.

Once they had both gotten up, Maria seemed content to let Tiki continue to dictate the pace of the match, as she got into her stance, but did not move in to attack. She just stood ready and waiting. The veteran was more than happy to oblige her younger opponent, and she approached. When Tiki got into range, she threw up a snap kick at Maria's body which was unlikely and unintended to get through.

Instead, the snaps kick's purpose was to set up what Tiki would do next. She would hop forwards on her plant leg and perform a push kick with her raised leg to try to get Maria off balance. Then the Brit would bring down her front leg to now raise her back leg and swing it through the air for a roundhouse kick that was aiming to bash the Swede in the side of the head.

Maria was on her legs again together with her opponent. She didn't attack right away because she wanted to use the spare time to calm down again and plan her next move. She was already a bit exhausted and not sure for how long her body could keep up fighting, before she could feel the fatigue of her muscles. Depending on who you look at it, her opponent was not stopping like her and came right at Maria.

Maria then avoided the snap kick from her opponent as she stepped back, however the following snap kick was not something she could avoid. So as Tiki threw her leg forward Maria would attempt to tense up her muscles and grab onto Tikis leg as it made full impact towards her stomach.
"GRRR!"
The blond woman would groan loudly as the kick still hurt and got her a bit unbalanced but she would still keep the grip with both her hands around her opponents ankle. To follow this and not hold on to the leg for any longer, Maria would attempt step to the side and pull Tikis leg, so that the woman was forced to step forward and hopefully lose her balance.

If this works, Maria would let go of the leg and do a right hook aimed at Tiki's solar plexus, followed by another hook, this time with her left hand to her head.

Tiki should've just backed off and bailed on her attack after Maria dodged the snap kick instead of blocking it. She was able to follow through with her push kick and even connect it clean to the Swede's body, but that just gave Maria the opportunity to grab her leg. Because Tiki hadn't been able to keep the blonde stuck in a block with the snap kick, Maria had had much more time to react and respond to the push kick. An error born from Tiki having much less experience and knowledge with kickboxing compared to wrestling.

Tiki had studied the rules of kickboxing beforehand well enough to know that you could grab an opponent's leg out of a kick, but also that you were very limited in what you could do with that grab before being called for a foul. Maria, the experienced kickboxer, made no overstep in how she used her grab, letting go of the veteran's leg before her punch even connected with Tiki's gut.

"Guh!" Tiki gasped as Maria's first blow bent her forward before the second sent the greenette staggering. She managed to keep her feet and get some distance, but the momentum of the match had clearly shifted towards Maria. The Lightweight had handled the stand game rather defensively up to this point, but Tiki wouldn't be surprised at all if this was the moment Maria picked to press.

So far this match was rather exhausting for Maria. The whole being on the defense, switching from ground to standing level and so on took a toll on the blond woman. Her limit was almost reached but she pushed the green haired woman back. Still there was no time to celebrate. Maria had to end this quickly or at least deal a significant amount of damage to the other woman, before her time was up.

With sweat running along her body despite the cold environment, Maria takes a few steps towards her opponent until she is getting Tiki into range for her strikes to reach her.

At first Maria attempts to do a jab right into Tikis face, followed by a cross at her right chest. Hot air coming out of her mouth after every move she does. Breathing heavily as she uses every bit of strength her muscles could still use. After her punching combo, the blond woman would take a step to the side with her left leg. She attempts to pull her right leg up and forward to hit the green haired woman, with a roundhouse kick, aimed directly at Tikis liver.

Tiki brought her arms up to defend herself as Maria closed in. At first, two punches deflected off of the veteran's forearms. But those first two strikes had gotten her arms up and towards the right side of her body, so when the Swede's Roundhouse kick came low and on the left, Tiki was unable to get her arms in position quick enough to block it.

"Urgh!" Tiki groaned as her body curled around where she had been hit. Her legs got shaky, and she began to stumble and stagger. The greenette felt her balance leaving her. So Tiki would aggressively shoot her leg out, trying to take out one of Maria's legs as she fell to try to score a knockdown of her own in order to deny the blonde the advantaged side of a ground phase.

Maria pushed her momentum forward. Attacking her opponent relentlessly to not let the other woman get a break now. Her main attack, the roundhouse kick hit the woman as well, giving Maria a small smirk on her lips. Seeing that the green haired woman, was having troubles after the kick, Maria decided to take advantage of her state even more.

Before Maria was able to put her foot down and get into a stable position, however, Tiki attacked her legs. This caused her to shake and slip up, losing the ground underneath her. The blond woman cursed beneath her breath as she fell over and onto her back, starting a new ground phase in the fight.

Tiki did fall, but she thankfully was successful in taking Maria down with her in the process. In the event of a double knockdown such as this, neither wrestler would be awarded the advantage state. They would simply both be re-stood, a boon for Tiki, as she had effectively managed to defend her disadvantage state before the blonde was able to actually start it.

Once both women were back up, Tiki decided to try to go back on the offensive. Maria was the better kickboxer, so trying to play defense was likely a path to getting hit again with no promises that she would be able to bail herself out with a double down again. The veteran knew that she had employed a lot of set-ups and trickery in this match, so this time she would try to mix things up opening with a big Roundhouse Kick right at the side of Maria's head.

Maria was glad that they didn't continue on the ground now. Thanks to the rules she was on her feet again, together with Tiki. This again gave her opportunities to press the advantage. It was clear that she was better in the standing position against her opponent Tiki. Only on the ground she was at a severe disadvantage.

Not very surprising to her, the green haired woman got straight into attack mode again, after the could fight again. Maria would put her arms up to the side of her head to protect herself from the kick.
"Argh!"
The woman grunts form the kick, her arms feel a bit heavy after the attack. She then takes a few steps to the side because of the impact, however Maria was not letting Tiki get the better of her that fast again. And so to retaliate, the Swedish fighter would attempt to turn her left hip towards Tiki and throw another side kick right into Tiki's ribs.

Tiki's Roundhouse Kick struck into Maria's guard, but it still struck hard, staggering the blonde. Of course it hadn't quite worked as well as the veteran was hoping, but Tiki still had a solid position to work from. Maria came back with a kick of her own at the greenette's side, which Tiki chose to defend aggressively. She would try to lower her arm just enough to block by catching Maria in the shin with her elbow.

It would be a matter of precision. Too low and it would just be a regular block that Tiki wouldn't be able to build momentum off of. If the veteran kept her arm too high, then Maria's leg would just slip under and catch her hip clean. But if Tiki was able to make the elbow block just right, then she would take advantage by taking out the Swede's other leg with a sweep to knock her down.

If Tiki got her knockdown, she would grab Maria's legs and try to lock her in a Figure Four Leglock. But if she couldn't make the block, then the shoe could easily end up on the other foot, with Tiki on the mat and Maria coming down on top of her. Whether Maria's kick got through or if Tiki could stop it would be a massive turning point in this match.
