"Hmhmhm...In hindsight, it seems like it WON'T take more than a 'cheap thrill' to beat you." Carmelita said, thrusting her hips against Chiyo's face. She takes a moment to gently caress the woman's hair, running her hands through it and smiling. "I really must admit, you're making this far more entertaining than I could've ever hoped to imagine. Typically I would just complain or whine at the fact that someone DARED to contest me...but with you, it's oddly...different. I don't know what it is about you, but I feel this insatiable need to prove you wrong. I don't know what's going on with me...but for some reason, I'm oddly...fixated on you. Your presentation, your bold attitude, your fiery nature. Something about it irks me in the right way, I suppose. To you specifically...I feel enamored with you..." She realized what she had said then and there and tried to backpedal quickly.

"I mean-!!! What I meant to say was...I'm enamored with the idea of besting you one-on-one...I will tell you this now...I AM a capable wrestler, and I'm sure you are too, Chiyo...but I'm better than you, and I want to recognize that. I don't care much for this crowd. My focus is mainly on you. I don't care about seeing anyone else pinned on that mat but you...And when I slide over your body, hook your leg, and press my chest down on yours in triumph...I will have cemented that my glory over you...I know I'm better than the rest of those peons watching us, but...Ohoho-...you just HAD to challenge me, didn't you? But why is it that I find you to be more...intriguing. Is it because of your pleasantly cute face? Hmm, maybe...but I doubt that's the only reason. Maybe it's because you contrast my personality so much? Opposites DO attract. However, I usually HATE when people challenge me. So that's not the only reason either. Ah, who knows...Perhaps you're just lucky, and I'm in a good mood today. I rarely let a 'commoner' feel my most prized "assets" so freely. You really should be thanking me." She said, lecturing the dazed Chiyo as she continued to talk her head off.

However, the arrogant Spaniard would pay for not immediately following this up as Chiyo sprang back to life. The fight inside of the Red Hot woman hadn't died out yet as she lifted Carmelita. Chiyo managed to raise her Spanish foe into the air for a BRUTAL Sit-Out Powerbomb!!! This leaves the Spaniard utterly FLATTENED against the canvas with a monumental -BOOM- resulting upon impact!!! "HU-AAAGHH!!! GUH-...Gh-...eh-...uhhhh...You...you-...ngh-..." She muttered, seemingly passing out while wheezing and gasping. Her eyes roll back as her head flops against the canvas, her hair frayed and spread over her face as her body sinks into the mat. Her supple thighs rest against Chiyo's chest as her calves drape over the Japanese woman's shoulder. Her body fell limp and lifeless as her shoulders pressed against the canvas, giving Chiyo a free shot at a pin attempt after such a devastating move.

"N-NO!!!!" Carmelita yelled, bucking her hips and breaking free, falling over onto her side and gasping for air. This was...a shock, to say the least. Since she had joined LAW, no one had EVER seen Carmelita break out of anything THAT significant. Was the move botched? No, Chiyo hit it PERFECTLY...what was it that fueled Carmelita to fight through the pain for once instead of giving up? She managed to stay in this match against the odds of her many detractors. She propped herself up and looked at Chiyo with exhausted, frustrated eyes, glaring at the woman for a moment before her gaze softened into a more weakened and frightened expression, her face glowing red as she was starstruck. She was...oddly enamored with Chiyo. However, at the same time, her eyes were quivering...was she showing...fear? Was she worried after that?! What was up with the Spaniard?! "Y-y-you...you almost...why you little-...you-...ah-." She clutched her backside, trying to recover and crawl away instead of attacking Chiyo. She looked desperate...she looked TIRED. "You dare interrupt me...you dare to insult me by attacking me while I'm SPEAKING to you...while I'm pouring my heart out to you...Maybe I was wrong about you. Maybe you're just another classless WHELP...trying to drag me into the mud." She said, standing back up and moving toward Chiyo.

Between the droopy eyes and the driveling moans from the rookie, Chiyo looked far too out of it to be comprehending much of Carmelita's words. Her heart was too busy pounding with a fervent beat as she felt the woman's hips thrust against her face again and again and again... But Chiyo was listening, her opponent's intentions and feelings were mingling with the Japanese girl's own flustered mind. The Spaniard's touch was surprisingly gentle as she ran her fingers through Chiyo's hair, and for a moment, Chiyo found herself relaxing into the sensation. She had always prided herself on her toughness and determination, but she had never felt so... at ease with being beneath an opponent before, not like the way she was with Carmelita hips pressed so invitingly against her face. But as Carmelita spoke, Chiyo felt a fire kindle within her; she couldn't let these feeling defeat her! She refused to be just another opponent that Carmelita dismissed or humiliated! Carmelita's warmth was meddling with her, but this only left Chiyo wanting to prove her strength even more, not only to her opponent, but to herself as well.

Chiyo purposely waited until Carmelita finished speaking before she made her move. With a sudden burst of energy, she lifted the Spanish wrestler into the air, executing a brutal Sit-Out Powerbomb that left Carmelita completely battered against the canvas with a deafening boom. Chiyo felt a thrill of satisfaction as she saw Carmelita's body crumple, her legs draped over Chiyo's shoulders and basking the hopeful rookie in the warmth of impending victory! But the satisfaction was short-lived as Chiyo realized that Carmelita wasn't out for the count yet. The Spaniard fought against the pin, bucking her hips and breaking free before collapsing onto her side, clutching her back. Chiyo let out of a growl of frustration as she watched her opponent warily, waiting for her to make her next move. But as she looked into Carmelita's eyes, she saw a mix of fear and fascination that she couldn't quite understand.

For a moment, Chiyo hesitated. There was something about the Spanish wrestler that both enamored and unnerved her. But as she watched Carmelita struggle to regain her footing, Chiyo couldn't help but feel a twinge of pity, but she knew that she couldn't back down now. Chiyo moved forward to meet her opponent on equal footing, grabbing onto the woman's luscious brown hair not only to immobilize her, but to drag her closer, much closer, so that that their foreheads were pressed against each other, warm breaths basking over each other's faces.

"You are wrong about me Carmelita. I'm more than just a cute face for you to fawn over, to...to squish between your body... and your curves, and your warmth, and you're lo-" Chiyo interrupted herself with a gasp, quickly gritting her teeth together to prevent her emotions from getting the better of her. "I'm a strong, passionate wrestler Carm! I love this sport more than you could ever imagine, and I wont let you... humiliate me in the ring - this is where I belong, this is my home!" Chiyo squeaked, her fingers dug deeper into Carmelita's scalp, eyes blazing with a fiery passion that pleaded with the woman to understand. "I want to best you too Carmelita... in more ways than one - " Chiyo's eyes flashed with a hint of longing, before returning with a blink to their steely gaze, "But I'm not your entertainment, I'm not a commoner, I'm not a WHELP! I'm you're OPPPONENT!" Chiyo declared with fire in her voice, loud enough to ignite the entire arena into a chorus of supportive cheers."And believe it or not Carmelita, but that makes you... that makes you my equal," The pinkette whispered with a gentle tug of her opponent's hair, "But you're the one who needs to prove it, not me! So yes Carm, I AM challenging you, I'm challenging you to prove with actions what you've professed with words. You want to beat me, fine - no, good! So wrestle me, wrestle me until you've extinguished my flames flat again this canvas... But that'll never happen Carmelita, because my embers for wrestling will never die out. And until you learn to fight with your heart instead of your ego, yours will never ignite!"

Chiyo's words rang out all across the arena, her voice firm and asserting! But beneath it all was a small smile, and a hint of excitement and joy in her voice only her opponent would pick. "Now let's wrestle!" the rookie declared, her voice tingling with newfound desire and determination. With a flash of movement, Chiyo would relieve her grip from Carmelita's hair, instead attempting to wrap her arms around her opponent's neck and clasp her fingers together in a headlock. If she was successful, Chiyo would lower her stance, periodically stomping her foot into the mat for emphasis while wrenching her opponent's neck in a painful direction. But that wasn't all Chiyo had in store for her opponent. After parading her opponent around the ring in the headlock, Chiyo would soon return to the center, before dropping down to both knees and throwing all her momentum sideways, thus bringing her opponent up and over with a resounding crash into the mat in a swift headlock takedown!

After writhing in agony after such a painful Sit-Out Powerbomb, the Spaniard attempted to make a tactical retreat, aiming to get away from everything to save her own skin. Though she was afraid, part of her wanted to turn around and face Chiyo head-on to reaffirm her feelings, but she was too nervous...too scared...However, as Carmelita crawled away, she was pulled back into the fray by Chiyo by the time she made it onto her feet. Chiyo grabbed a tuft of her luscious hair and pulled her in close, trapping her as they came face-to-face. Carmelita's hazy eyes glistened and sparkled with a hint of passion, confusion, and desire...why would Chiyo do this?! To torment her further?...No, in fact, it was quite the opposite...

The fiery, pink-haired woman's words struck a chord within the Spaniard as she listened, feeling her soft yet warm breaths over her cheeks as they talked. Carmelita was verbally thrashed, but...she knew that Chiyo's words weren't malicious. They were actually uplifting in a sense. As Carmelita stared at the woman, her eyes only continued to sparkle as her facial expression softened. She began to let her guard down as she listened, wrapping her arms around the woman's waist as she spoke to her. Chiyo was right...she wasn't her entertainment...Carmelita didn't even really mean that. So why did she say it? She was running from the truth. There WAS something within her that drove her to feel a certain kind of way toward her foe. What really struck deep was what Chiyo said after that...Carmelita was...her EQUAL?...Her eyes flashed, and her face looked confused. She...considered her to be her equal? Why? After everything she had said and done...why? The Spanish beauty couldn't understand it, but she still listened, hanging on to every word Chiyo said. She sounded so firm and assertive, yes...but she was also gentle and soothing, in a way. Instead of a roaring fire that left her with scalding burns...Chiyo was more like a warm campfire, providing comfort and affirmation to Carmelita's heart.

After Chiyo was finished, she declared that their match would continue. This catches the Spaniard off-guard, resulting in her being caught in a tight Headlock. It didn't take long for Chiyo to capitalize on this, flipping her opponent over her waist and then slamming her down onto the canvas with a Headlock Takedown. Carmelita struggled, groaned, and fought, scrambling her very hardest to break free. She was visually putting effort into this match. Chiyo's words had REALLY affected her...Suddenly, memories of her training days came rushing back into her mind. Days of when she struggled to do just about anything...how did she succeed at any of this if she previously struggled with such basic maneuvers when she was first starting? Was she...was she untalented?...NO...absolutely NOT. S-She was...SHE WAS A PRODIGY, and this was just a rough patch, that's all...She fought long and hard, but she still failed to escape. She thought to herself for a moment, trying to remember an early memory of hers...the rare moment when she successfully completed a training drill. She took a deep breath and SQUEEZED her head out through Chiyo's arm, using her two hands to push the woman's body up to free her head and drive her opponent's body off of hers with a shove!!!

She manages to escape the situation with only slight shortness of breath as a result, but as she stands, she has a moment of clarity. She had done it. This feeling of success and triumph was legitimately earned, and that satisfying feeling washed over her for the first time. She looked at Chiyo with a slight smile, amazed at the fact that she had actually done something technical, albeit basic. She stared at Chiyo for a moment before looking at her own two hands, wondering if this was the right career for her...was she cut out to be a professional wrestler? That's when she remembered Chiyo's words from earlier...

"...until you learn to fight with your heart instead of your ego, yours will never ignite..."

She takes in a deep breath and stares once more at Chiyo. "Did-...Did you really mean it, Chiyo? Do you really think that I am...that I can BECOME your equal? Or was that all a lie, just so the crowd can cheer you on as you throw me around? Be honest with me...Do you REALLY believe that I could make something of myself? That there's something WORTHWHILE in me as a wrestler? Do you really think I stand a chance against you?" She said, sounding as if her heart was partially wavering...in a strange moment of self-reflection, she looked toward her opponent, wondering what exactly she should do?

The Spaniard had potential, Chiyo could see that much from a mile away, but why did she feel the need, the desire, to bring it out of her? After all, she was still her opponent at the end of the day; someone to beat and gloat over, not inspire! As far as she was concerned, the less confident Carmelita was as a wrestler, the easier this match would be to win! But there was something inside of her that couldn't bear it any longer. Her heart broke to see this strong, beautiful women succumb to conceited and vain motives for why she in the ring; traits more apt for a narcissistic celebrity, not a wrestler!

But Carm was so much more than that, and to see her squander her potential so callously... well it was a sight no decent wrestler could stand to witness any longer! Her mind harked back to the many woman who helped shape her path, who helped forged her mindset into the hardened mettle required to compete in the ring. If she could be just a small part of that for Carm, if she could help her discover what it mean to strive for greatness in the greatest league of them all, well maybe it'd make her own impending win tonight all the much sweeter. The cheeky thought brough a smile to Chiyo lips as she tightened her arm around Carmelita's neck.

Only for Carm to buck and writhe, squirm and squeeze, before eventually freeing herself from the hold! Chiyo let out a shocked gasp as she was shoved across the mat, before landing with a tumble to her knees. She pounded her fist into the canvas, letting out of a growl of frustration to the crowds, but beneath the veil of pink hair shone a proud smile, one that was shared solely with her deserving opponent.

"Of course I meant it" Chiyo murmured, pleasantly surprised at Carmelita's genuine display of self reflection. As she stared into Carm's glittering eyes, Chiyo couldn't help but think how much she enjoyed seeing this side of her opponent. "Just look at how far a little determination self confidence can get you" Chiyo said with a nod towards Carmelita's current position, noting the success of the daring escape. "Of course... I wasn't squeezing at tight as I could have." The frisky taunt was delivered with a playful smile, "As for whether or not you stand a chance against me, well that's for you to decide Carm. All I can say is... I don't plan on making it easy for you!" Chiyo said with a cocky wink, right before rolling back onto her feet with a forwards somersault.

As soon as she was on solid footing, Chiyo would make a mad dash towards the opposite side of the ring, rebounding off the ropes before hurdling back with the double the speed. Her goal was simple, to test the instincts and wits of her newly inspired foe with a meteoric running dropkick aimed for Carmelita's chest!

Carmelita felt this weird sense of satisfaction and pride overcoming her after managing to weasel her way out of what felt like a tight position to her. She didn't understand why, but that gratification from struggling but still succeeding felt uplifting to her morale. Upon hearing Chiyo's words, Carmelita's feelings were reaffirmed, and she felt this newfound sense of resolve. This went against everything she stood for previously. It went against her entire being and thinking. And yet, it felt more natural than she had ever felt before. Instead of whining, she was fighting...She was standing her ground. She stares down Chiyo and beckons her to come forward...and it seems like Chiyo had a similar idea as she wasted no time.

One somersault later, the pink-haired Japanese woman rushed toward her Spanish adversary, intent on testing Carm's newfound mettle. Carmelita almost panics, but she tries to remain composed. She NARROWLY dodges the Running Dropkick and lets out a sigh of relief as Chiyo's legs whiff past her chest, the Japanese woman flopping to the ground after missing...Had she been hit by that, it would've sent her reeling into a fit of pain...Chiyo was a scary competitor, and the Spaniard knew that THOROUGHLY. Although, a part of her admired that strangely enough. She liked how fiery the woman was. Often, people are warned not to play with fire, but Carmelita was wavering within her heart, a part of her wanting to ignore the warning...but right now, Carmelita needed to focus. She had her opponent wide open. She smiled and quickly went to capitalize on the opportunity, attempting to lock Chiyo into one of those Boston Crabs...a strange naming convention, but apparently, it was an easy enough move to perform for Carmelita. Plus, it was a smart move, too, right? Carmelita thought about it for more than two seconds, a rare occasion...and seeing Chiyo move so fast on her feet, the Spaniard believed that wearing down her opponent's legs would give her a much-needed advantage. And so, she would sit on Chiyo's backside and pull her legs backward, bending her in half, trying to secure the submission, but it was clearly not the cleanest submission hold...however, Carmelita showed something she hadn't ever shown off before: Potential

"If you really believe in me that much...then I-...then I'll prove that I'm worth being your 'equal'...." She whispered, tugging on Chiyo's legs harder, somewhat adjusting her submission, making it better and better by the second. It was still a rookie maneuver...but she was IMPROVING with every passing second. Perhaps those lessons did stick with her, somewhere deep within the recesses of her memories...

Chiyo charged toward Carmelita with her heart pounding and her spirits surging! However, looking at Carmelita's somewhat panicked expression, Chiyo couldn't help but think that maybe she was pushing the woman too far and too fast. After all, Chiyo was gunning for Carm at a dangerous pace, and if she landed her next move, there was no telling the pain she'd inflict on her somewhat feeble opponent. Chiyo's step faltered for a fraction of a second, but she quickly regained her pace within a blink of an eye. No, Carmelita would receive no clemency from the pinkette. Not because Chiyo had some sadistic desire to hurt or maim her foe. In fact, it was quite the opposite. It was out of respect, the need to show Carmelita that she was a proper wrestler, and the only way to do that was by treating her like one. And for that reason, Chiyo would not hold back!

But just as the Japanese girl took flight, she could have sworn she saw a change in Carmelita's face. Her lips sealed, her eyes narrowed, and her eyebrows furrowed. It was a look of determination, grit, and confidence. At first, Chiyo thought her opponent was just bracing herself to receive what was bound to be a powerful blow. But as the sole of her boots whisked through nothing but open air, Chiyo quickly realized how wrong she was.

"GAGH!" Chiyo yelped as she crash-landed on the mat below, a searing pain shooting through her tailbone and up her spine. Her opponent had actually managed to dodge the attack! Unable to convey her admiration beneath the pained wince on her face, Chiyo instead tried to roll over onto her stomach, clutching the small of her back as she attempted to work her way back up to her feet.

But Carmelita was far from finished showing off her burgeoning bravado. Before she knew it, Chiyo suddenly felt an overbearing weight pressing down on her back, pushing her down to the mat and preventing her recovery. Her legs were wrapped up soon after, her ankles tucked beneath the armpits of her opponent. It was a move as old as wrestling herself, but that didn't make it any less painful!

"Waagh! Aaaghk!" Chiyo groaned as her spine was arched to an uncomfortable degree. It wasn't the most painful Boston crab Chiyo had ever been subjected to. It wasn't even the tightest. But credit where credit was due, Carmelita still knew how to make it hurt! And that meant that the pinkette was trapped, left grunting and groaning as her fists pounded uselessly into the mat. "N-Nice one - uugh! - C-Carm!" Chiyo winced, still somehow finding the breath to complement her opponent's efforts. Luckily the submission wasn't the heaviest Chiyo had experienced either. The small but capable girl still had plenty of strength left in her, and she used it to crawl along the mat, fingernails digging into the canvas as they inched their bodies forward, slowly but surely. Chiyo could feel Carm's positioning solidifying as the seconds ticked by, but the speedster remained steadfast in her progress towards the ropes. Soon she was within arm's reach, fingertips twitching and straining as they desperately tried to grasp onto the salvation of the bottom ropes!

Carmelita felt stronger as this sense of pride continued to fill her mind. It was different than the ''pride''...or rather ''arrogance''...she felt before. This one felt sweeter...likely because it was genuinely EARNED. To hear Chiyo's encouraging words, despite how few were uttered, only bolstered this sensation. It made the Spaniard strive to do better to hear the pink-haired Japanese woman continue to praise her for her skill and efforts. A smile formed on Carmelita's face as she let out a soft chuckle. However, after a few moments of struggling, Chiyo managed to snag the ropes, much to Carmelita's shock. Although, considering just how fiery and unyielding her opponent was, the Spanish beauty could only smirk. She should've known that Chiyo wouldn't give up so easily. The red-hot blood that runs through her veins wouldn't yield so suddenly. Typically, that would irritate Carmelita, but she felt excited...This would be another chance to continue to show Chiyo that her words and faith weren't misplaced. "Hm, how intriguing. It was obvious that you weren't going to tap out. I don't know what I was expecting. But strangely enough, Chiyo..." Carmelita said toward her recoiling opponent. "I'm actually happy that you didn't. Part of me wants to show you more...to see what I can really do...Call it strange, but I think I want to impress you." She said bashfully.

After letting her go, and surprisingly avoiding an argument with the referee for once, the Spaniard would drag her opponent up to her feet and grab her from behind at the waist, their bodies pressing together tightly. Chiyo could feel her opponent's soft but warm breaths along the side of her neck as Carmelita squeezed at her hips tightly with her arms. "If it's all the same to you...I want to thank you for actually taking a chance on me. You could've easily just gotten rid of me, but you didn't...As for why, I...don't quite understand. Your words felt oddly inspiring. As your equal, I want you to know that this match means a lot to me now...That YOU mean a whole lot more to me now. However, I'd be betraying you by not giving it my all and trying to beat you...so I...suppose I'll save what I mean for after the bell. For after I beat you." She whispered, taunting her opponent but in a less hateful manner...more playful, in a sense. Chiyo couldn't see it, but Carmelita blushed at her own statement. The Japanese woman could probably guess that those words came straight from the heart of the Spaniard. Carmelita adjusts her posture and tries to set Chiyo up for a German Suplex, stabilizing her footing to ensure the move went off without a hitch. Although Carmelita might've taken too long in her approach and set-up, would Red Hot Chiyo Hamamoto be able to mount a counterattack in time?!

Chiyo rolled onto her side, groaning in pain as she clutched her back where the boston crab had inflicted most of it's damage. She was caught off guard by her opponent's sudden burst of tenacity but was pleasantly surprised when Carmelita honored the rope break. But that was only the start of her opponent's fresh take on wrestling. Despite the still lingering pain, Carmelita's heartfelt confession stirred something deep inside Chiyo. The Spaniard's sincerity and vulnerability revealed a bright pride and burning passion that fueled her fighting spirit, much like Chiyo's own. The rookie felt herself drawn to this fire, equally enamored and flustered by the raw intensity of her rival. In a way it reminded her of herself, of that spark of inspiration and motivation that had been her guiding light into the world of wrestling ever since her days of practicing on the mats back in wrestling school.

But the feelings would soon be replaced with anticipation and trepidation as Carmelita pulled Chiyo close. The warmth of her breath was intoxicating, nipping the back of Chiyo's neck, and making her shiver with a mixture of pleasure and nervousness. For a moment, they were pressed together in a tight embrace, but even Chiyo wasn't so lost as not to recognize the set up for a German suplex! With lightning reflexes, Chiyo tried twisting her body with rapid momentum, hoping to break free from Carmelita's grip with a smooth swivel. In one fluid motion, she would then try to seize Carmelita's wrist before flipping her over her shoulder with a flawless arm drag! If executed with the precision she was aiming for, Carmelita would crash to the mat with a thud, kept upright on her knees only by Chiyo's still strong grip on her arms.

If her counter went unhindered so far, than seeing her opponent hurt and dazed would fill the rookie with a pang of concern, but she would push it aside in place of honor and respect for the Spaniard. As her opponent teetered on her knees, Chiyo's voice rang out across the arena. "I'm already impressed Carm! Your spirit, your resolve, your fire - it breaks my heart to know that you've always had it within you, begging to see the light of the ring," she said with earnestness in her voice. "You're special to me too, Carm. I never thought I could bring out such passion in anyone. I mean, I'm just a rookie, but..." Chiyo's voice broke for a few moments as she fought back tears, her eyes shut close to stifle the wave of emotion before the young wrestler composed herself. "But don't think for a second that I'm going to let you beat me! I have dreams too Carmelita, and as much as I'd love for both of ours to blossom here tonight, only one of us will walk out of this ring one rung higher to the top," she whispered, her tone sad but honest. Chiyo's fingers curled even tighter around Carmelita's wrist, her knuckles white with anticipation. "I'll always be there to lend you a hand when you need it. But that woman at the top...that woman is me!"

With unwavering determination, Chiyo launched herself at Carmelita, swinging her leg forward with power and force that would show her opponent no reprieve. But now it would be Carmelita's chance to show that her aptitude for defense was just as ironclad, for Chiyo's foot was inbound for the center of Carmelita's chest, driving the girl down the mat with all the power a wrestler of her spirit deserved. If successful, then Chiyo would follow her opponent to the mat, hooking her leg into the sky, draping her arm over Carmelita's chest, and motioning for the referee to begin the count!

Carmelita's words had touched the heart of her opponent...an unexpected response from Chiyo led the Spaniard to feel a warmth within herself. She knew she was pouring her feelings out partially, but she didn't expect it to resonate so strongly with Chiyo. Perhaps this was how Chiyo felt...Whereas Chiyo couldn't believe she could inspire someone so much, Carmelita never believed someone would accept and return her feelings. By treating her like anyone else, Chiyo gave Carmelita a valuable lesson. Many people would've bullied the Spaniard, put her in her place, and be done with her...but this was the first time she felt HUMBLED on a deeper level. She slowly realized the error of her ways, realizing that her cruel words and actions were unbefitting of her. Was this how she wanted to be remembered? No. She wanted to be remembered as a GREAT wrestler, not someone that people fawn over for her money, looks, or status. She wanted the same approval, praise, and respect that Chiyo gave her.

So, when Chiyo broke free and reversed Carmelita's hold, the Spaniard continued to fight despite being tossed down to the floor with a mighty Arm Drag. Her semi-fragile body releases a painful yelp as her eyes widen with shock, her body convulsing as the rough canvas provides no comfort to her aching backside. She is quickly twisted around by her pink-haired opponent and driven down to her knees while Chiyo holds onto her arm at the wrist. She lets out a ragged series of breaths, gasping for air, looking up at Chiyo...but not with a look of fear, but rather one of awe and admiration. This is what she wanted to be...Rookie or not, Chiyo was capable...That's what Carmelita wanted. To be capable. And if she wanted to do so, she would need to fight even harder than Chiyo. She had to break free. She had to get out of this scenario somehow!!!

The woman attempts to break free from the hold, but to no avail. For as much time as Chiyo gave her, there was no escape for Carmelita, especially given her current state. Before she knew it, a blur of bright red would streak across the air and slam against her chest with a loud -BOOM- which resonated throughout the entire arena, causing even audience members to grimace and wince with concern as the Spaniard fell back, eyes glazed over, body limp and seemingly breathless as she laid flat. The world was spinning, her ears ringing, her arms weak, her body heavy, and her vision...beginning to fade...the last thing she sees is Chiyo's face covering her. She felt so feeble, so tired...so numb...Carmelita couldn't feel her leg being lifted. She just wanted to...sleep...The referee moves in to count and-


"1...!!!"

"2...!!!"

"-..."


At the VERY last second, Carmelita pops a shoulder up, releasing a brief but loud yell...almost like a roar. The Spanish beauty, however, hurt and exhausted she might be, didn't want things to end here. Against her better judgment, she continued to fight. This was FAR from over. That stubborn arrogance from before was returning but in a more competitive form...Carmelita wasn't infuriated that she couldn't keep up with Chiyo. She was MOTIVATED to push past her limits, determined to win, and too stubborn to accept defeat. If she gave up and rolled over for Chiyo, she wouldn't forgive herself for denying the Japanese woman a proper match, giving her all until she could give no more. Despite how little she might have in the tank, Carmelita could still endure. And so, she would. She stands on two shaky legs and leans on the ropes, her body feeling as if it were on fire.

If the arena's reaction was anything to go by, it was that there truly was no holding back in Chiyo's monstrous kick. Her opponent had tried to squirm and wiggle her way free, but the rookie's commanding grip on the Spaniard meant that she was forced to face the brutal blow in its entirety. Even Chiyo couldn't help but grimace as Carmelita was driven to the mat, her face wracked with pain.

Undeterred, Chiyo locked in what she was sure would have been the final pin. Carmelita had put up a decent fight. She had shown a lot of heart in this match alone, and no matter what, the young pinkette would always admire her for that. But this match was hers to win. Her own tenure in LAW had been a rough one so far. She knew what it was like to be humiliated and defeated. As much as it pained her to admit it, she couldn't bear to experience that again. No, defeat would have to be Carmelita's cross to bear this time, even if the beautiful woman was was capable of and worth so much more. Chiyo closed her eyes and held her breath, waiting for the final count with relative calm... except -

A kickout!

Chiyo joined the crowds in their large collective gasp! She couldn't believe it, Carmelita had actually managed to persevere! Chiyo leaned back on her knees, her fingers combing through her hair as her eyes stared into her opponent's with wonder. "Yes, Carmelita! Keep fighting! Keep showing the world just how strong you really are," Chiyo squealed, cut off by her own amazement as Carmelita stumbled to her feet, teetering on the ropes as she tried to catch her breath. A bemused smile spread on Chiyo's lips, a steely gaze now having overtaken her once-soft eyes. "Alright then, Carm, let's do this! Lets make this a match for the books!" Chiyo boomed with eagerness as she made her way to her feet. "Your heart burns with blinding passion, but tell me, Carmelita, can you handle the heat... of my Flaming Missile!" Chiyo declared with a whimsical tone, molding her hands into a finger gun aimed right at her opponent's heart. The crowd was sent into a round of cheers as Chiyo announced her impending attack, but she figured that Carmelita was still too groggy to know any better.

Taking off at a breakneck pace, Chiyo sent herself hurtling to the opposite side of the ring. The ropes absorbed her weight as best they could before sending her shooting back with even more tremendous speed. With only a few more steps to go, Chiyo launched herself into the air, the soles of her boots spread out in front of her and aimed directly for Carmelita's face with her signature Flaming Missile Dropkick!
