Close encounter with Blades

"What? Not a huge fan of hugging things out?" Jack teased as he gave her a sharp squeeze, attempting to stun her and keep her from pushing his chin back with her hands, "It is a nice way to settle matters." Of course, it didn't work as Guen's counter was able to push his head back enough to slip out of the hold. She was now free.

Now it was Guen's turn on Jack

"I don't do nice in a fight." She said, true enough of a statement as she had a habit of not holding back nor resorting to less debilitating tactics, fight was a fight and if her opponents wanted to stand a chance, they needed to throw the showmanship out the window. Not that she really minded that in sparring, it was just fun and training after all so things like this had their place.

On the flip side though, from what she saw so far, trying the straightforward approach would not get her far with Jack. So in wanting to get around his rather impressive defence, she throw a cross at his face, while the punch was certainly a danger, the attack she really hoped would hit was the low kick to the side of his knee that followed just milliseconds after the punch. If it succeeded in making him stumble, in the same motion she would turn, trying to deliver a spinning back kick to his head.

Jack saw the punch coming and blocked, thinking that Guen was getting predictable. After the punch, he was going to reach out with a strike of his own, but soon found his right knee bending as Guen's immediate kick hit him in that area. It succeeded in making him stumble for Guen's kick to hit him on the back of his head. He fell forward and almost landed face-first on the mat; though his hands instinctively went to touch the ground to stabilize himself.

He grunted a bit as he felt that one and was slightly dazed; taking a bit for him to recover.

"Damn!" Jack commented, with his tone sounding like he was impressed. "Glad to see those fine legs of yours aren't just for show." He staggered as he went to get back up, though still feeling that kick. Guen had her moves, even in sparring, so Jack needed to not let his guard down.
